Would defn suggest the Coros ecosystem, its much more polished and seamless than garmin. Switched and haven't looked back. Maps on any watch are a gimmick since the screen is so small and pretty much always have smartphone on hand, so think the Pace4 is better than even Pace Pro.

I've used the p4 for swimming for 2 months now and it's never missed a metre in calculation. It's a big change for me after disappointments with garmin and Xiaomi watches

Pace 4 is what I just picked up and done 2 ski days with it. Love it so far.

Loving my Coros Pace 4. Switched from Garmin and not looking back at all. Disliked the clunky Garmin app a lot. Hardware was good though. Coros’ value is unbeaten imo

I recently switched to Coros coming from Garmin. Specifically Fenix 7 Pro to Pace 4. Prefer the overall experience and app a lot. Garmin is moving towards Connect+ (their subscription) more and more and their hardware prices increased a lot over the past few years. Coros’ value is unbeaten imo

Coros Pace 4, or Suunto Race 2 (avoid the Run IMO). avoid Garmin. For a simple, easy to operate, no fuss and cheap watch : Wahoo Rival.

It's a great watch and will likely do everything you need it to do. I'm a runner and am contemplating an upgrade from my Pace 3 to the Apex, mainly for the longer battery life and topo maps (I'm doing some very long trail races). What sort of runs are you going to use it for? If budget is a consideration then the Pace 4 is an excellent choice, with almost identical features except battery life and mapping. Edit: The Pace Pro is also worth looking at - it feels more premium than the Pace 4 and is slightly cheaper than the Apex. My main reason for considering the Apex instead is that I have tiny wrists and the Pace Pro is pretty big.

Came here to say the pace 3 or 4. Changed my life. As long as you don't care about paying with your watch, listening to Spotify or anything. Coros pace line is a great budget option. Check out reviews online, mostly positive. When you get to serious training I'd pair it to a HR monitor for any watch for more accurate hr.

I feel like Coros is almost there. Flashlight for sure is coming in a future watch (probably Vertix 4, then will trickle down to at least Apex 5). Design is obviously highly subjective, but I agree that Suunto has a cool design. However, I‘m digging the design of the Nomad and also the clean look of the Pace 4. Regarding more data in the web plattform or app. I‘m also very confident that they will add more stuff over time. Overall, going with Coros seems to be the best choice and it will only get better.
