I legit had to bite the bullet and get a portable watch charger for the times I just didn’t have time to charge it before work. (I have a variable schedule so I can’t just charge it at the same time every day, and charging it when I shower the night before leaves me with at best 70 ish battery when I wake up—this is not always enough and sometimes I end up cutting it real close.) To be transparent, I have a refurbished S7 with 84% capacity, so it’s certainly not at its peak, but it’s also a rude awakening coming from fitbit. My old blaze I only had to charge every 2-3 days, the newer versa 4 I could get away with 4-5. But I eventually had to ditch the versa because notifications were inconsistent, I’d reboot it to fix it and it’d get stuck in a reboot cycle, and I got tired of not being able to control my music with it like I could on the blaze. (Unless you specifically use YT music… I don’t, lol.) I 100% get there are reasons it drains faster than other stuff but it’s still wild to me how much faster it goes than literally anything else I’ve owned.
r/AppleWatch • I’m really tired carrying an out-of-battery watch around. ->Fitbit user for 10 years and like others say (I'm not a Google hater though) it's definitely not what it once was. I've bought the Blaze, an Ace and currently using a Luxe. Will not be buying anymore and will be looking for a replacement in the near future. I'm not a super user, but there's just too many resets, re-syncs, and other random glitches that you have to mess with in the last couple years, it's really not worth it to me. I want something that I can use to help me track sleep, alarms, track exercise and give me notifications. Cons: -The app on Android isn't supported on older model phones (Android 11 or higher only) -they keep rearranging the GUI on updates so its less user friendly and less intuitive -unable to set alarms from the app now -no real user support. You have to trouble shoot everything using online forums. The support team is essentially non existent (in fact just today received a bounced back email from the email listed on google play support, saying it's not monitored anymore) -cant customize watchface (Luxe model) -battery life inconsistent (sometimes lasts a week between charges sometimes just 3 days) -doesnt always recharge reliably (I've set it on the charger 12 hoursat a time after ensuring a connection andstill won't be charged. I think the connectors are overly sensitive) Pros -smaller devices than other brands -Not too many features if you're trying to keep it simple -affordable
r/fitbit • Is Fitbit still worth buying? ->Been using FitBit since 2016. I'm on my second FitBit. My Blaze lasted 7 years. The battery on that thing was great. I'm on year two of my Versa 4 and the battery has already declined a lot. I'll be switching to Apple Watch when this one dies. That'll probably be soon; my brother and Dad both got Versas around the same time as me, and theirs both stopped working already. The FitBit app has gone downhill a lot since Google acquired them.
