My Inspire 3 cannot have reliable heart rate measurements and Google does not seem to care. My Inspire HR was fine.
So I used to daily wear a citizen eco-drive that was my gift to myself for getting out of an hourly job that was never going to go anywhere. The switch to a, "smart watch," was getting my first FitBit for free because I'd earned enough points for activities through insurance at work, and then I earned more by tracking my activities. I went from an Inspire HR to a Versa to a Versa 2 (killed the first in a shower) to a Garmin Instinct. In that same time, I'd purchased my first automatic (snk805), my partner bought me another Citizen (Avengers version of the J810, silver with blue dial) as a thank-you for me proofreading so many of her papers over years that she graduated with her first master's degree, and she followed that with a Praesidus D-Day 80th Anniversary watch with the dial made from a C-47 Skyhook that flew over Normandy during the invasion. Clearly, I've done a bit of double wristing 😂 I've mostly switched to the Garmin being purely a fitness tracker, or if I *need* a GPS on my wrist independent of my phone. I also bought a turtle for a milestone gift: promotion at work. The turtle and the D-Day get the most wear.
I've tried almost every fitness tracker under the sun and the sleep accuracy is as follows, best to worst: 1. Fitbit (Inspire HR, Charge 5, Charge 6) 2. Oura ring (gen 3) -- almost equal to Fitbit 3. Apple Watch (series 10 and SE2) -- only slightly less accurate than top 2 4. Garmin (fenix / venu / vivomove) -- a distant 4th up to 2023, 2024 onwards a close 4th 5. Whoop band (V4 work on bicep) -- garbage Just putting it out there.
honestly my pulse ox is the most helpful. i have a Fitbit inspire HR but it doesn't track the big hr jumps well.
Had a Fitbit but got fed up with their refusal to show eg. the past month, rather than just the calendar month. It means that if its a Monday or 1st of the month, you get graphs with one point on, and cant view short-term trends/progress. So I moved to Garmin, and Polar. On non-subscription, comparing Fitbit HR, Venu2 and Polar Unite (all budget models) I found: Fitbit - best for its sleep analysis graph, and viewing long-term trends. Basic activity data, but not enough if you are training seriously. Poor charging and battery life. Garmin - best for activity analysis, excellent range of data and well presented but not v.detailed sleep breakdown. Lots of extra linked facilities. Good battery length and charging. Polar - phenomenal for sleep analysis EXCEPT it's not good at recognising time spent awake in middle of night. Rotary graphs are a bit weird. 2 day battery as I keep HR & HRV on. Website page as well as app, for extra data analysis. But most concerning is the fact that they don't agree, not even vaguely, leaving me to wonder whether the whole thing is a con! For example, last night's REM, in order as above: 1h 5min , 29min, 1h 37min. And today's energy usage so far: 955 Cal, 1,008 Cal, 1139 Cal. So which should I believe? Are they making money out of fictitious data?

Lol same. I've been buying the inspire series since 1 and they all worn out. I ended up getting a new one though because I actually use the screen a lot to check time and stuff.
I use Fitbit inspire on one wrist and watch on other. Works great.
Same 👆I bought a Fitbit Inspire to reward myself for hitting a goal, and ended up returning it. Now I’ve got an old school clip on pedometer for ~ $20 that’s super accurate. It doesn’t tie into my calorie tracking app, but that’s okay because I’m not eating back exercise calories.
