Fitbit - Sense Advanced Smartwatch

The reason I like my 570 is mainly the sizing options. The 42mm is perfect me along with the fact that I got a 25% discount code that expired after 10 days. My fitbit sense 1 just completely died on me. Essentially, it came down to the 265s or the 570. I went with the updated version.

I have been with fitbit for many years I currently have the original Sense and I love it

My 1st gen Sense locked up a couple days ago and required a factory reset (which failed successfully: I didn't lose my overnight data, but it came back to life). It took 4 and a half hours to come back to life. It's almost 3 years old, so I'm a year past what I expected. I'm moving to the Garmin Forerunner 965. I told my wife that's what I want for Xmas. I've been on Fitbit for about 10 years, but Google has successfully shit on the Fitbit brand, and the new Pixel battery life is still terrible from the majority of the reviews I've read. Now I need to figure out how to extract a decade worth of Fitbit data and hope I'm not making a mistake.

Mine just did the same thing yesterday and this also worked for me to fix the issue.

I have a Fitbit Sense that I got for free after the Ionic had a battery recall. Luckily mine is still working fine. However I am trading it in for $55 to Best Buy with my Pixel Watch 4 pre-order. You could try doing the same thing but it's possible they will notice that the Sense isn't working and not give you the credit, but who knows. I will miss Fitbit's great battery life but I am looking forward to having a proper watch OS.

I got a sense when it first came out. Had it for 2 years and got the pixel watch when it first came out. When I went to reset the sense to hand it down to my wife, constant boot loop and I never was able to recover it. Support was useless. Pixel watch is still going strong after almost 3 years tho. Considering the upgrade to the watch 4 or may wait for watch 5.

I have had both and the Ultra 2 isnt even close to the Fitbit Sense. Ultra gets 1.5 days with a 30 minute daily GPS workout and normal smartwatch functions. Sense easily got 3x better duration.

Fitbit sense! Tracks all exercise, sleep and stress levels. Have had for 4 years and highly recommend

If you've got the money to burn the Garmin options are the best. In a lower price range, I've been incredibly happy with my Fitbit Sense.

The battery life decreased dramatically after Google updated my Sense watch. Bought an Amazfit Active 2 for $129.00. Charged it this Tuesday and today, Sat, battery life is 50%. The only feature I miss is AFIB detection.

What Fitbit are you wearing? I am wearing a Sense. I tried a Sense 2 but was disappointed to learn it doesn't track my laps so gave it to my husband. Am back to Sense. Wondering what other Fitbit tracks laps? My Charge 2, 4 both died in a couple of years and they both tracked laps for me.

I'm also quite interested in sleep tracking (among other things) and am considering a V4 and coming from a Fitbit Sense. The rings are a non-starter for me - I'm a climber and I've stopped wearing rings, including my wedding ring, altogether.

I've been waiting for the Venu 4 to release to replace my Fitbit Sense and am also quite interested in sleep tracking accuracy but am also interested in the other fitness stats that Garmin offers. Kinda underwhelmed by the Venu 4 release - $100 more than the Venu 3 and no sapphire screen :( I'm a climber so I tend to beat up watches - my Sense is pretty scratched but it is still working and usable after nearly 4 years but not sure I want to spend $550 on a beautiful watch that I'm just gonna beat up.

No as I'm sure in about 2 years or less Fitbit won't exist. They keep removing features or placing them behind a paywall. Now I just lost another important feature on my Fitbit Sense, the Google Assistant feature that I used so many times a day. Amazon Alexa sucks. I think I'm done with everything Google and will be making the switch to all Apple products. At least Apple likes to keep it's costumers happy and buying their products. Google just pisses you off and thinks you'll keep buying their products.

I used to run based on time/distance or other people's GPS watch, so that's an option if you don't really care too much about data. Had a Fitbit Sense (screen broke on it after a year bc the strap would constantly come undone and it fell for my wrist and shattered when it hit the ground. I ran with my phone/Strava app for a while, but didn't like holding my phone while running. I just bought a Coros Pace 3 GPS watch and absolutely love it. If your concern is not wanting to spend a lot of money on a GPS watch, the Coros has been great! Fitbit makes some different fitness trackers...I think the Charge 6 would be the closest to a "fitness bracelet".

I've been using Fitbit since 2016 (with a brief switch to Garmin in there), am overall happy with my current Sense, and have not had any significant issues. But I will probably switch to something else for my next fitness tracker because I don't feel they're headed in the right direction and I'm concerned about brand longevity.

My Sense went haywire a couple of days ago after purchasing it new March 2021. I was not thrilled with the Google acquisition, and Fitbit's reliability has gone to hell in a hand basket over the last few months, so I purchased an Apple Watch 10 during a Cyber Monday sale. Amazon will deliver it today, we'll see how it goes. I am a fitness buff and really miss having a tracker right now.

hi, i had a Vivoactive 3 for 2-3 years, i dont run, i dont exercise , swim or use the watch for O2, heart, BP, GPS , nothing but time date and most importantly to me, DEXCOM diabetes blood glucose reading using a watchface from CONTROL IQ store, at the time forerunner did not support the DEX watchface, the watch lasted and worked great, terrible battery life compared to the FitBit Sense i replaced the Vivoactive with when the watch would no longer take a charge , mind you i was very rough with it i was not rough with the FitBit and its now crashed after 2 and half months making me look into Garmin yet again, i ordered the Vivoactive 6 just today finding out that it supports the DEX watchface as i speculated it would, the site giving me the info about what watches support the DEX watchface also listed other garmin choices including the Forerunner 165 and higher, i was wanting SOLAR but the solar pick FENIX are out of my budget, Enduro also, Venu doesnt have solar nor does Forerunner, if its one thing i wish i could have more than world peace would be NOT HAVE TO PLUG IN A CHARGER CORD INTO A GARMIN watch, its a misery, and thats exactly what happened to the fitbit from april, the charger magnetic isnt a magnetic charge its just magnetically adhered to the back of watch when 4 electrode point make contact with 4 female ports, one electrode lost its springyness and wouldnt work, so i got another charger cord , charged it for a while, attempted to pair back with phone to receive DEXCOM blood readings and watch shut down and wont start back up yet its pulsating every 2 seconds with blank screen, so called FitBit, had me do what i had already tried then asked for proof of purchase to proceed with "case investigation ", and i purchased the extended warranty , sorry to digress but i am NOW questioining my choise about vivoactive 6 vs forerunner 165 or higher after reading this sub because i was curious about whiich was newer, the Vivo 6 or the Forerunner 165 or higher, finding that the Vivo was released in april and the Forerunner in May, i dont have a question , that search led me to this sub, the Forerunner has a slightly larger face than the Vivo 6 i noticed , i would prefer a larger face so i wouldnt have to squint at face, i had posted here a couple years back about my vivo3 not pairing and got help, so maybe you can get the help you need, best luck to you

I have a Fitbit sense and have nothing but good things to say about it. I workout a lot and it's great at tracking those metrics as well as sleep. Also holds a charge well.

My Sense is also 5 years old. Battery less able to hold charge requiring charging every 3 days and minor corrosion (or debris) on charge plates made it tricky to get a good connection to recharge. Just bot a Sense 2, I will be happy if I get 5 years out of it too.

unless you’re getting one of the rugged outdoors Garmin versions even those aren’t as long lasting as advertised. all those smartwatch features really chew up power. fwiw, the ultra 2 (for my purposes) is close enough to my old Fitbit Sense in battery life that I switched to it. I can usually get at least 3 days on it, but man is this thing chonky. a smaller watch with similar battery life would be welcome.

Read the conditions under which Apple got its 36 hour rating. I never listen to music on my watch. I take about 2 calls a month on it. I have most of my notifications muted… which isn’t great if you need those things, but I don’t. I have an Ultra 2 for specific reasons. There are plenty of people getting similar battery life as I am. I also found plenty of people who never got more than 48 hours. I obsessed about battery life as one of my purchasing criteria. So yeah it could be there are better made units than others, but more likely there are subtle usage pattern differences between us that would explain why I get almost twice your battery life.

The way I use my Ultra 2 it gets about 3 days. I could reliably get 5 days from my Sense. It doesn’t mean you will get the same results. I used both devices differently than you would. The Sense was a great device for me. I’m a reluctant AW owner. The only reason I switched was because I saw the writing in the wall that Google was preparing to kill Fitbit so I needed something else that could do more than 48 hours runtime. If Google reverses course, I’m probably going back.

Google will continue making Fitbit fitness trackers. the Versa and Sense are what is going away in lieu of the Pixel Watch. And, for the record, you \*can\* get a pixel watch and turn off all of the smartphone notifications, should you want. I don't necessarily recommend it, but you absolutely can get a pixel watch and use it mostly as just a fitbit tracker.

Yes, as was said, they are sunsetting the Sense and Versa lines. but there is no indication that the Fitbit trackers are going away, and the fitbit fitness service is not going away.

I'm not the op, but which garmin do you use? I have a fitbit sense that I like, but I've been wondering if I should switch to something else. My expenditure is pretty far off between my fitbit and macrofactor. I know fitbits are "notoriously wrong", but I don't feel like it's as wrong as the differences I'm seeing.

my original 5 year old Sense running great. best tracker ive ever had. its hard making phone calls on it though.
