"they were amazing with accuracy of sleep. ... You could be awake and just spend some time in bed, Fitbit would take that as awake but Garmin would count that as still sleeping."
"I really enjoyed the sleep tracking feature. ... Something about being able to see the cumulative number of hours I was sleeping even when I wasn’t getting a full night’s rest was reassuring to me."
"I definitely noticed that when I’m feeling particularly low in energy that it often correlates with a low daily readiness score. ... When I was on Prednisolone and feeling pretty rubbish, it seemed to be consistently low, maybe because my heart rate goes way up due to the Prednisolone."

"it does track heart rate, that's primarily what i use it for because i have health issues that make my heart rate super high sometimes."

"i did have to switch the band from the rubber one that came with it to a leather one, because i was having an allergic reaction to the material"
I adore my Charge 6 and I bought it last year knowing Google is trying to phase them out. (Couldn't resist the sale price!) In the past I've had some of the original Fitbit trackers: I had the original Classic, a Fitbit One, a Luxe, the Versa, and Versa 2. I enjoyed all of them, especially the Versas and for some reason the One. So the Charge 6 to me is like a happy medium: it's a basic tracker in a wristband, not a smart watch. So it doesn't do everything, but it's got a pretty sleek form factor and it does the basics quite well. I use mine the way it was intended: an activity tracker! I can log my walks and runs, connect it like a heart rate monitor to gym equipment and fitness apps, and... That's pretty much it for me. I like hitting 10k steps and seeing the little animation. I like hopping on a spin bike and seeing my heart rate. I like going for a run and seeing what zone I'm in. It's super basic and that's what I enjoy. The only thing I miss is that my Versas had a C25K app that I liked a lot, but I knew when I bought the Charge 6 that it wouldn't have this functionality... Although I do think it's a missed opportunity.
r/fitbit • Is the Charge 6 still worth buying? ->My seventh Fitbit died last week (from Luxe to Versa to Charge 5 and 6, this was my second in-warranty replacement), white line on the screen to no screen at all within 24 hours. So with some Target credit I decided to go with a Garmin Instinct for $200. The GPS is much, much more accurate (even when not paired with my phone), the app tracks a lot more information than the Fitbit app did and takes up a third of the space on my phone. I miss the constant step updates; the Garmin just updates every minute. That's about the only drawback.
r/fitbit • I am never ever buying another Fitbit ->i do! i have a fitbit versa, so similar in size to an apple watch. i got used to it surprisingly easily, and i don't even notice it's there. i did have to switch the band from the rubber one that came with it to a leather one, because i was having an allergic reaction to the material, but aside from that it's never bothered me. i have hella sensory issues, and i can't wear bracelets or hair ties on my wrists, but for some reason the watch is totally fine.
r/AutismInWomen • Do any of you wear watches/fitness trackers ->Title says it all really, I replaced my old broken fit bit when my daughter was born with the versa and I really enjoyed the sleep tracking feature. Something about being able to see the cumulative number of hours I was sleeping even when I wasn’t getting a full night’s rest was reassuring to me. But the thing just stopped working after less than a year and that’s after my first Fitbit did the same, so I’m looking into buying something different this time around. My birthday is next week and baby is due in April. What’s the best tracker out there for sleep stats? My mom has an Apple Watch but she says the sleep feature is kind of clunky and she needs to charge it daily which sounds like a pain.
r/beyondthebump • Smart watch or activity tracker recommendations for tracking my own sleep when caring for a newborn? ->This. I was a long time Fitbit user with several Charges and a Versa. Switched to Garmin after Fitbit started to go downhill. My Garmin vivoactive 5 has been a great experience and I haven't looked back.
r/fitbit • Fitbit still worth it? ->I couldn't connect my fitbit versa with my Samsung Galaxy A53S phone. Then I bought a watch 6 and it's dusting away, because after 1,5 days its battery is dead and I'm too lazy to charge it every day. What watch did you buy eventually? I'm thinking of buying the Fit 3 just because of the price and fitness tracking.
r/samsung • What fitness tracker are you using with your Galaxy phones? ->Fitbit and Google burned us in this household, unfortunately... My wife went through 3 Fitbits, I don't remember exactly which versions but Versa and Sense. Each one stopped working just after a year. All Fitbit did since it was past warranty was offer 20% off a new one. And I get that it's a 1 year warranty and I'm not expecting special treatment. What bothers me is they acted like they didn't care and 3 watches failed so easily back to back. I also got burned with WearOS/Google. I don't need to buy new stuff every year, for instance. I have an older WearOS watch and it's just fine. Then 1 day Google pushes a monthly Android update and suddenly WearOS tells me to factory reset my WearOS watch every single time I try to connect it. A factory reset for WearOS, at least on this watch, means nothing restores like it does on a phone. And first day of use on this watch after a factory reset makes it move like molasses - it's literally not usable. So ultimately, Google killed my old watch for no apparent reason. The supposed fix they pushed didn't fix this issue for me either. My wife switched to Garmin a couple of years ago and absolutely zero issues at all. It's already outlive the Fitbits she owned. And now I have an older Garmin (older because the style isn't produced anymore and I liked it). Also, no issues. Maybe I wish I had longer battery life but it's already better than my experience with WearOS.
r/WearOS • This is my first time getting a smart watch, advice on where to start? ->Pixel Watch is essentially Fitbit health tracking, and they kept the app interface. I really liked it. My last Fitbit was a Versa (i had 4 different tmodels over many years). I now have a Samsung 7 Watch with a Samsung phone. The interface on the phone is clunky, and you really have to use 3 different apps Samsung Health, Samsung Fit, and Samsung Health Monitor. The interface on the watch itself is decent and customizable. I haven't used the Pixel Watch, so I don't know how easy it is to use. As for accuracy, I don't see much difference between my watch and my old Versa, but I'm an old part and not a competitive athlete and it's fine for my purposes as was the Versa. If I were a competitive athlete, there might be something better than either the Pixel or Samsung.
r/GalaxyWatch • are galaxy watches good health/fitness trackers? ->Ugh this is so sad to hear. I got my OG versa in 2019 and today is the first day I’ve ever had to charge it twice so I have a feeling it’s gonna go soon so need to make a decision on a new one
r/fitbit • Best fitbit out right now? ->It's got garbage battery life, unfortunately. Also unfortunately, the watches that seem to be most accurate are either obsolete (Fitbit Versa, idr which generation, counts laps and shows on watch face) or Sense 2 (has been very accurate but won't show laps on watch face even though it does keep track of laps - a really stupid decision by Fitbit/Google in a sea of stupid decisions ((no pun intended))). Battery life is excellent on both. Battery life on the Garmin Vivoactive is the bomb but it's crap at accuracy on laps. Good luck!
r/Swimming • Swimming watch for beginner 2025 ->They already lost me as a loyal fitbiter, my versa died after 2-3 years, I was looking pixel watch but it doesn’t work with iPhone, so I got Apple Watch but most likely I will move to garmin.
r/fitbit • Gap in the Fitness Tracker Market in 2025 -- What Fitbit could've been? (Thought Piece) ->I have a Fitbit Versa. They have introduced a daily readiness score, which is based on heart rate variability, past week of sleep and resting heart rate. I’m watching it over time to see what I think of it, but I definitely noticed that when I’m feeling particularly low in energy that it often correlates with a low daily readiness score. When I was on Prednisolone and feeling pretty rubbish, it seemed to be consistently low, maybe because my heart rate goes way up due to the Prednisolone. Though they also have a sleep score, and at times I’m up for hours at night (long term insomnia) and it says i’m sleeping when i’m actually reading a book. So who knows!
r/CrohnsDisease • Fitness fatigue tracker watches ->I used to have Fitbit versa both 1 and 2 they were amazing with accuracy of sleep. Then I switched to Garmin Vivoactive 4 and everything else is fine but the sleep tracking is way off. You could be awake and just spend some time in bed, Fitbit would take that as awake but Garmin would count that as still sleeping. Also garmin does not seem to catch naps whereas Fitbit does. It is a shame Fitbit's future is a little unclear because like you I am also looking for my next watch but can't seem to find a good alternative.
r/smartwatch • Smartwatch recommendation for sleep tracking (with caveats) ->Have had a Fitbit since 2012. The last 2 years I've also had an Oura Ring. Honestly, the only reason I still use it is: 1. Vibration alarm 2. Watch face 3. Small size - I've always loved the thin little trackers, smaller than an eraser. I didn't enjoy the Versa. I'm using a Luxe currently. Will have to find something to replace those functions soon it seems.
r/fitbit • Is Fitbit still worth buying? ->I still have to first generation versa. It still runs great to this day 6 years later. It’s a shame what has happened to Fitbit over the years
r/fitbit • I am never ever buying another Fitbit ->Nope, I’m selling my charge 6 currently. It is incredibly uncomfortable to wear. Even if it’s loose, I wake up at night because my hand is numb. During the day it leaves a red mark (again: it’s loose enough) and my skin became chronically dry underneath. The app is getting worse as well, I have the highest score when I feel like shit and it doesn’t recognise exercise properly. It’s a huge disappointment. I used to have a Versa, that was somewhat better but still, I’ll buy a Garmin or a used Apple Watch.
r/fitbit • Is Fitbit still worth buying? ->I still love my Fitbit. I currently have the Luxe, but recommend the Versa. It’s now apart of the Google Pixel line. I love it so much because I only need to charge it 1-2 times a week. A full charge gets me through 4 days. I returned my Apple Watch because I couldn’t deal with the short battery life.
r/pelotoncycle • Help! Can't decide on a fitness watch to track workouts ->Google will continue making Fitbit fitness trackers. the Versa and Sense are what is going away in lieu of the Pixel Watch. And, for the record, you \*can\* get a pixel watch and turn off all of the smartphone notifications, should you want. I don't necessarily recommend it, but you absolutely can get a pixel watch and use it mostly as just a fitbit tracker.
r/fitbit • Google is killing off FitBit. Where are you migrating? ->Yes, as was said, they are sunsetting the Sense and Versa lines. but there is no indication that the Fitbit trackers are going away, and the fitbit fitness service is not going away.
r/fitbit • Google is killing off FitBit. Where are you migrating? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
