Not a cheap one, at least in the sense I think you mean, but I have had two Fitbit Versas (2 and 4) that I liked a lot, both for under $200. The 2 did die after like 18 months though, but I think that is atypical. I have never had a full featured smartwatch, so I don't exactly know what I am missing, but I know this has much better battery life and there isn't anything more I want it to do anyway

Hi I also have a versa 2, but somehow it's not picking up the steps/sleep/workouts from Fitbit to Healthy 365 even though I have already done the authorisation stuff. Do you have the same issue or is it just me?

I have had my Versa 2 for 6 years. It’s been near bulletproof, and I have only had to replace the straps (They do break easily.)

I adore my Charge 6 and I bought it last year knowing Google is trying to phase them out. (Couldn't resist the sale price!) In the past I've had some of the original Fitbit trackers: I had the original Classic, a Fitbit One, a Luxe, the Versa, and Versa 2. I enjoyed all of them, especially the Versas and for some reason the One. So the Charge 6 to me is like a happy medium: it's a basic tracker in a wristband, not a smart watch. So it doesn't do everything, but it's got a pretty sleek form factor and it does the basics quite well. I use mine the way it was intended: an activity tracker! I can log my walks and runs, connect it like a heart rate monitor to gym equipment and fitness apps, and... That's pretty much it for me. I like hitting 10k steps and seeing the little animation. I like hopping on a spin bike and seeing my heart rate. I like going for a run and seeing what zone I'm in. It's super basic and that's what I enjoy. The only thing I miss is that my Versas had a C25K app that I liked a lot, but I knew when I bought the Charge 6 that it wouldn't have this functionality... Although I do think it's a missed opportunity.

Maybe it’s just the older models, but my Versa 2 I got in May 2020 is still going strong. I just have to charge it a little more often. Never take it off when I swim or shower. It will be a sad day when I finally have to replace it, it’s counted millions and millions of steps for me.

Same here, have been using Fitbit as I didn’t need something too premium like a Garmin/Apple watch. My versa 2 has been with me for 3-4 years and still working well. But yes Fitbit’s app features has been lacking since Google took over, doubt I will stick with it once my versa gives way.

it does track heart rate, that's primarily what i use it for because i have health issues that make my heart rate super high sometimes. it doesn't track temperature though. (i have the versa 2, so other models might be different)

I have had the Fitbit Versa 2 for 4 years with no issues besides having to charge it every other day now, versus lasting me a week before.

I just replaced my 2020 Versa 2. I charge it while I shower (and have never used it in water) and it kept going from 90% to 82% in a day to 39%, so I knew it was going to die soon. Luckily I bought a Versa 4 about 3 days before it gave out.

Good for you mate. Ngl you are the first person iam talking to who's fitbit has lasted more than 5 years lol. Mine has something going wrong all of a sudden Heats up a lot at times and stuff. I think the battery is going bad. But hey it was fun while it lasted. I loved fitbit software. A shame Google ended Versa and Sense

I had a Versa 2 that lasted almost 5 years. It still worked, but the battery would hardly last 2 days, and the display was getting a little wonky. I replaced it with a Versa 4 last year, I'll see how long it lasts.

Just got mine and set it up. Looks awesome. Coming from Fitbit Versa2 so its not even in the same league. It will take time to adapt - been with fitbit for 11 years. Hope I enjoy the experience.

My Versa 2 lasted four years, I guess that’s pretty good as far as these types of things go? Never got it wet, however and rarely ran the battery all the way down. That may have helped.

I have the versa 2 my daughter gave me when she bought her Apple Watch. I love it. At one point I thought I’d upgrade to the AW, but hated it. Ended up returning it and going back to my trusty Fitbit.

I used to have Fitbit versa both 1 and 2 they were amazing with accuracy of sleep. Then I switched to Garmin Vivoactive 4 and everything else is fine but the sleep tracking is way off. You could be awake and just spend some time in bed, Fitbit would take that as awake but Garmin would count that as still sleeping. Also garmin does not seem to catch naps whereas Fitbit does. It is a shame Fitbit's future is a little unclear because like you I am also looking for my next watch but can't seem to find a good alternative.

Honestly for the price point I would not get a fit bit. I had a charge and versa 2 or 3. The product wasn't great. The features struggled to work outside the basic health tracking and after a 2.5 years it was getting finicky about charging. I got a Samsung galaxy 6 instead. It was about the same price as a versa. All the advertised features work consistently without a fight. It is a much better product. Like you said they're phasing out the fit bit so if I were you I would go with the same brand watch as your phone for ease of use or something like a Garmin.
