I have a Fitbit Versa 4. My main complaint is that I have to recharge her every 3 days.

r/AppleWatchI’m really tired carrying an out-of-battery watch around.

I legit had to bite the bullet and get a portable watch charger for the times I just didn’t have time to charge it before work. (I have a variable schedule so I can’t just charge it at the same time every day, and charging it when I shower the night before leaves me with at best 70 ish battery when I wake up—this is not always enough and sometimes I end up cutting it real close.) To be transparent, I have a refurbished S7 with 84% capacity, so it’s certainly not at its peak, but it’s also a rude awakening coming from fitbit. My old blaze I only had to charge every 2-3 days, the newer versa 4 I could get away with 4-5. But I eventually had to ditch the versa because notifications were inconsistent, I’d reboot it to fix it and it’d get stuck in a reboot cycle, and I got tired of not being able to control my music with it like I could on the blaze. (Unless you specifically use YT music… I don’t, lol.) I 100% get there are reasons it drains faster than other stuff but it’s still wild to me how much faster it goes than literally anything else I’ve owned.

I have a Versa 4, just over 18 months. I shower in it every day and swim in it once a week. It gives me a good account of my sleep and activity and tracks my heart well. It has accused me of running twice, when I've been doing a bit of vigorous washing up! 🙃 otherwise I've no complaints. I forgot to mention - it charges to 100% in just over an hour and it lasts 6 days. Also I charge it at 17 - 15% if that helps anyone.

r/fitbitIs Fitbit still worth buying?

Same! I've had Fitbits since 2018 and loved them - up until Google bought it and fucked it up! I recently bought a Versa 4 thinking the reason my old watch was crap was because it needed updating. What a waste of money! I have to reset Bluetooth multiple times a day to get notifications most of the time it doesn't update - the app is crap now since they git rid of the challenges and the notifications I do get are useless things like kitting me know I've started a walk - piece of shit! Garmin is so massive though its going to look ugly on my wrist 😂

Not the versa 4. You can get stretchy bands to wear it on your arm instead of your wrist, but if you do, the heart rate tracking really doesn't work very well. Also the mechanism to connect the band to the watch is not something I would trust to stay fastened in full contact. Their skating activity is also very inaccurate, it tries to track you by gps which I suppose might be fine for trail skating, but not for going around in a circle.

If there's a discount or discount code, then yes, buy a Fitbit while they're still available. That's exactly what I've been doing. I started with a Fitbit Charge 3 with a fading screen, upgraded to Charge 5, which had a battery that died. Now I just bought a Versa 4 because of the discount. Off-brand Amazon smartwatches are not worth it. They are not as accurate, and the Amazfit has privacy issues.Pixel watches are expensive. Garmin and other brands are beyond budget and too big to wear during sleep to track sleeping metrics.

I own a Versa 4 and would not consider it a smart watch personally.

r/whoopFor those of you who wear another fitness tracker alongside Whoop, do you wear both for sleep?

I've worn Whoop (almost) exclusively for the past 1.5 years. I recently bought a Fitbit Versa 4 as I'm excited to see what Google are doing with Fitbit Coach this autumn. I wear both for training and sleep, using the Versa 4 primarily for outdoor runs. The metrics from each are largely identical for sleep and training.
