Not a cheap one, at least in the sense I think you mean, but I have had two Fitbit Versas (2 and 4) that I liked a lot, both for under $200. The 2 did die after like 18 months though, but I think that is atypical. I have never had a full featured smartwatch, so I don't exactly know what I am missing, but I know this has much better battery life and there isn't anything more I want it to do anyway

I legit had to bite the bullet and get a portable watch charger for the times I just didn’t have time to charge it before work. (I have a variable schedule so I can’t just charge it at the same time every day, and charging it when I shower the night before leaves me with at best 70 ish battery when I wake up—this is not always enough and sometimes I end up cutting it real close.) To be transparent, I have a refurbished S7 with 84% capacity, so it’s certainly not at its peak, but it’s also a rude awakening coming from fitbit. My old blaze I only had to charge every 2-3 days, the newer versa 4 I could get away with 4-5. But I eventually had to ditch the versa because notifications were inconsistent, I’d reboot it to fix it and it’d get stuck in a reboot cycle, and I got tired of not being able to control my music with it like I could on the blaze. (Unless you specifically use YT music… I don’t, lol.) I 100% get there are reasons it drains faster than other stuff but it’s still wild to me how much faster it goes than literally anything else I’ve owned.

Same! I've had Fitbits since 2018 and loved them - up until Google bought it and fucked it up! I recently bought a Versa 4 thinking the reason my old watch was crap was because it needed updating. What a waste of money! I have to reset Bluetooth multiple times a day to get notifications most of the time it doesn't update - the app is crap now since they git rid of the challenges and the notifications I do get are useless things like kitting me know I've started a walk - piece of shit! Garmin is so massive though its going to look ugly on my wrist 😂

I used to use a Fitbit versa 4. It did a fine job tracking runs with heart rate and gps. Data got sent into Strava. I switched to Garmin because it's no subscription fee for all the data. Fitbit is still fine though.

I have a versa 4, and I also switched bands to something more sensory friendly. That said, I was nervous about the whole thing, and it was fine. I bought it to track my anxiety but I get more use out of it tracking my sleep tbh.

I've worn Whoop (almost) exclusively for the past 1.5 years. I recently bought a Fitbit Versa 4 as I'm excited to see what Google are doing with Fitbit Coach this autumn. I wear both for training and sleep, using the Versa 4 primarily for outdoor runs. The metrics from each are largely identical for sleep and training.

I would try to check several times a day, and see where the discrepancy appears. That is to pinpoint if it is specific stuff that one incorrectly miss or count. I mean it could be either some arm-movements your Versa incorrectly counts as steps, or it could be some steps the GW7 misses.

I have a Fitbit Versa 4. I do not pay for "premium" options. Fitbit has been acquired by Google, but I haven't switched over to their platform since I don't know what to expect. My Versa 4 does a good job with steps, exercise tracking, calories burned, sleep (including sleep stages), heart rate variation, weather, alarm, timers, and on-wrist calls. It has GPS and can map where I go for a walk. My Fitbit is connected to an app on my iPhone. Also, I can wear it while swimming.

Its cheap tech, thats why quality sux. It costs like 25 SGD if you buy directly from Axtro. The latest version Axtro Fit 4 costs 28 SGD. If you're willing to pay more, can definitely get better quality ones. What kind of features do you prefer? For HPB, you'd look for steps tracking + sleep tracking + MVPA. How about other features like payment + spotify music controls + period tracking (for the ladies)? For me, I'm using a Fitbit Versa 4 for \~2 years. So far so good I'm satisfied. But with Google now the owner of Fitbit, I'm not sure if I'll stick to Fitbit if my current one dies.

Google is currently still selling the current Fitbit models but I think they won't be producing new models. Security updates for current models will be up till June 2026 (actual date depends on model). Likely Google will slowly kill off Fitbit and focus on their main smartwatch product, the Pixel watch. Being a Fitbit user for 5 years (I moved from Fitbit Inspire HR to Versa 4), its kinda disappointing.

Fitbit user here for a number of years Recently ‘upgraded’ to the versa 4 from a Versa 3 and it’s terrible, gps is woeful, they’re nice and all but they’ve gone massively downhill

This is such good Intel. I swim the same; 1.5 or 2km, all kick turns, no breaks, varying length of pool (25m, 33m or 50m) and my Fitbit versa 4 is junk.

Concur. My Fitbit versa 3 went spicy pillow, so it was replaced with the versa 4 which is somehow a downgrade. Trash product that I hate.

Fitbit versa 4 can track any workout, not just swimming But it tracks your workout duration, distance, average pace per 100m, calories burned, heart rate, and it has your graph with a heart rate showing a spike or something I'll dm you some pics

I had a Versa 2 that lasted almost 5 years. It still worked, but the battery would hardly last 2 days, and the display was getting a little wonky. I replaced it with a Versa 4 last year, I'll see how long it lasts.

Nope! Had my Versa 4 about 2 years worked perfectly. This past week they rolled out a new firmware that wrecked my watch. Their solution? Giving me a 35% discount code to buy a new one even though the solution would have been expediting rolling out a patch to fix the problem. I threw mine out and got an Amazfit Bip 6.

Been using FitBit since 2016. I'm on my second FitBit. My Blaze lasted 7 years. The battery on that thing was great. I'm on year two of my Versa 4 and the battery has already declined a lot. I'll be switching to Apple Watch when this one dies. That'll probably be soon; my brother and Dad both got Versas around the same time as me, and theirs both stopped working already. The FitBit app has gone downhill a lot since Google acquired them.

I had my Versa for 5ish years. Several months ago I started having to charge it twice a day. I agonized over which tracker to replace it with and decided on Sense 2. Before I bought that I noticed that My local Walmart put a Versa 4 on clearance for under $100 so I grabbed that instead 🤣😂🤣. It does everything I need

I still love my Versa 4. I’ve had it almost a year. Battery life is still good. I mainly use it to track steps, sleep, and heart rate. No complaints at all.

Fitbit Versa 4. I can get notifications from my phone and use it to track workouts, heart rate, sleep, etc. I love that I only have to charge it about once a week,

Hi I currently have a Google Fitbit Versa 4 as my smart watch/fitness tracker. It is clearly on its way out as needs charging every day now. Can anyone recommend a good European alternative? Thanks

I have a versa 4 Im a roofing contractor , got to the gym 5 days a week. Have a 4 and 5 years old. If you put the protective cover on it and change out the bands it will Last. I’m always sweating and the thing takes a beating. Still works like it should and looks new still. https://preview.redd.it/eqbrl86d0u9f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce2b76e9ac689667d7397fee1f52452efb863494

My Versa 4 recently crapped out (battery would drain in less than a day from full charge, and would get the flashing logo / red X) That was my second FitBit. I've since ditched them entirely and picked up a Garmin Forerunner 165.
