Garmin - Approach S62

I have a garmin s62 because I’m a golfer but it does everything I want when it comes to running.

Using an S62 for golf, strength training, running and a bit of biking. Works well but the form factor may not be suitable for you.

My S62 is missing some workout features the cheap running watches have. So my next watch won't be a golf specific watch. Probably a used fenix.

Don't get a golf watch if you want VO2max. Garmin won't put the feature, that even the cheaper running watches have, in the golf watch. I have an S62. It's GREAT for golf. But it's merely okay for other sports. Next watch will be a lightly used fenix, whenever this one dies.

Yeah i have the S62 and I love it. But I use it strictly for golf. I have an apple watch for my everyday use. I like that it tracks my score and helps calculate my handicap on the app. Even for the range finder, im not good enough to need to know EXACLTY where the flag is. But knowing the distance to front, center, and back of the green is helpful. Also helps thay you can move the flag on the watch if you really want to be accurate.

That's wild. My Apprpach S62 lasts at least 3-4 rounds with daily wear.

Ya the Approach was branded a golf watch so maybe when in a round the GPS only is running with light use in the background. Whereas non-golf watches maybe still running all apps normally during your round. No idea but I highly recommend the Approach S62 to OP and anyone else who'll listen 🤣

I do the same, coming from a Garmin Golf Watch for sports. I hope they will release another and more modern fitness tracker with a slim and small design to follow up on the vivosmart 5
