I have the enduro 1 and it’s still crushing it. Lasts two months with notifications on and everything if I don’t use the gps too much.
r/Garmin • Which Garmin has the best battery life in days? I keep notifications off and only use it as an activity tracker (not a smartwatch) ->Enduro 1 : \~ 40 days. If your main concern is battery life go for the enduro.
r/Garmin • What’s everyone’s real world battery life looking like? ->I’ve been using Enduro (One) for a year swimming at sea. No problem on the sea water resistance at all as I will rinse with tap water every time after swimming. The only problem to me is the GPS reception despite all other functions including the total distance, pace etc are fine. My route travelled can’t be displayed on the map most of the time! I am satisfied with the made of Garmin watch but I think a strap maybe needed as the GPS reception via the watch would not function well under the sea water.
r/Garmin • Which Garmin watch exclusively for swimming in the sea? (I already own a Venu3) ->Fenix 7 pro gets 36 hours of GPS, Enduro goes even longer. This is far more than you will get from a phone and recharging takes far less power than a phone. There is absolutely no comparison (and let's not even get started on GPS accuracy between Strava app on a phone and a dedicated GPS watch).
r/Strava • Most energy efficient way to Strava several days of backpacking? ->Here, here. Me too. Went from an AW6 to an Instinct 2 and eventually to a used Enduro. Couldn't be happier. I get weeks on a charge, health tracking is great, and it has all of the smarts I want but is an excellent timepiece and less of a distraction. (Bonus: new Instinct 2 + used Enduro 1 cost less than a new base model Apple Watch.) I also find the Garmin/Apple Health integration to be pretty solid. Rarely have I gone from something from Apple to something from another company and been this happy with the change.
r/Garmin • Apple Watch to Garmin Instinct 3: My experience after 6 weeks ->If you want max battery like I did, go with the Enduro. I bought the Enduro 1 used about 2 years ago and still wear it, has about 35 days of battery, with normal use.
r/Garmin • Help me pick a Garmin because I am over my Apple Watch ->I second the enduro line. I have an Enduro 1 that I got cheap when the 2 came out. It is bulletproof. It does what you want, and you can turn off what you don't need. Battery life did a (slow) 100 miles on navigation with 1k split beeps. (This was an error psychologically).
r/Ultramarathon • Best watch for 100 miler? ->You can get any watch you want and then just turn off Bluetooth or Or just turn off all notifications/buzzers on your watch which is what I do, my watch is my watch and just for time, activities/tracking and heart rate etc. I open connect at the end of the day just to upload info into connect During the day I receive zero notifications/buzzing or the like, it’s so good 👍 I’ve got an enduro V1 You can make them as smart or dumb as you want/need
r/GarminWatches • Fitness watch with ZERO notifications (no texts, calls, emails) strictly fitness ->Garmin Enduro, first version. Cheap on ebay these days.
r/AppalachianTrail • Benefits of Hiking Watch ->Inside WearOS: - OnePlus Outside WearOS - Samsung (GalaxyFit3) - Garmin - Polar - Coros - Huawei - Amazfit - Xiaomi - Pebble Personal recommendation for Android WearOS? - OnePlus Watch 3 Personal recommendation outside WearOS? - Huawei Watch GT series - Amazfit Bip 6 - Amazfit Balance 2 (Up to 21 days, from my experience, it is a tank in endurance) - Amazfit Active 2 - Garmin Vivoactive 6, Venu 3 (4 rumored to be coming soon), Garmin Fenix series, Garmin Enduro series (usually MIP display but there is one with AMOLED display, can last around a month) - Redmi Watch 5 (up to 21 days or so) - Pebble Time 2 or Pebble Duo 2 (Upcoming release with E-ink Paper display, up to 30 days) Note that these recommendations are strictly battery life related. Functionality wise, you're gonna have to choose.
r/smartwatch • Recommendations for a 'big brand' watch that has battery life that's longer than 1-3 days? ->I love my Enduro solar!!
r/Garmin • i dont run, i mostly walk/hike and do some gym stuff. should i get Instinct or another Garmin? ->You may feel too big with enduros 51mm. Better to try it on first.
r/Garmin • Best Garmin for Long Distance Hiking ->It sounds like a Garmin would be a good fit for you. My advice if you are going to be running regularly is to get a chest strap as they are much more accurate for heart rate data. A cheaper watch and a HR monitor would be better for running. A better watch would be best for overall health metrics. You haven't mentioned budget, so I'll put a few options. The cheapest foot in the door is an entry level Forerunner. This will cover basic health and running metrics. Vivoactive 5 will cover more health based metrics and is a good recommended starting point. Forerunner 265 will be a great watch which covers nearly all running and health metrics. Paired with a HRM, this is a solid choice even for intermediate and advanced runners. Top tier would be the latest Endure or Fenix 8 with a HRM. Expensive, but you'll find very little better. If you want another brand to look at, I hear the Polar watches are good also.
r/Garmin • Would garmin be a good watch for my purposes? And which one? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
