Got 7 pro solar for 400 euro, best choice for the bucks
Np, sapphire isn’t worth the price increase.
I see. I guess it might be advantage for some. Don’t really feel the weight of mine.
I have the wrists of a 5 year old girl, so 43mm and under was my starting point. You're about the sleeping part. Whilst my vivioactive 4s has been dead, I've resorted to wea my nice automatic watch which is heavy and painful to wear to bed. I just bought the 7s Pro Solar used yesterday. The instinct 2 or 3 were on my mind simply because of the battery life. But essentially, what I wanted was at least 24 hours of gps, Solar boost, a torch, and having built-in maps means I don't have to upgrade again to get that. As it's used, it's probably a good idea to change the strap so I'll look at a nylon one.
I'm looking at the 7s (small wrists) Solar - £299 used.
Male with 16.5 cm wrists here. I tested both the 7 Pro and the 7s Pro and I ultimately chose the 7s. It comes down to personal preference, but I really liked the size and weight of the 7s Pro. I replaced the strap with a nylon one and I wear it 24/7, I hardly notice it now. I feel that the regular 7 Pro would have become uncomfortable to sleep with over a prolonged period. The only downside is the smaller battery but it still lasts at least a week for me with 5-6 training sessions, and I don't have any problems with that.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I have 16cm wrists and had a Fénix 7s. I always wished I had gone with the non-S model though for better battery life. I have an Apple Watch Ultra now (49mm) and it fits fine. I tend to think that the thickness of the watch makes a bigger difference than the diameter, and Garmins to tend to be pretty chonky. Trying them on is a good suggestion.
Fenix 7 Solar Safire, Sleep Index thingy, and recently added the Venu X1 to the collection. While it can look silly to have 3 devices but I have a tough one for workouts, a comfortable one to sleep, and one I can wear in the office. All this while keeping my data in the same ecosystem.
Fenix 7 pro gets 36 hours of GPS, Enduro goes even longer. This is far more than you will get from a phone and recharging takes far less power than a phone. There is absolutely no comparison (and let's not even get started on GPS accuracy between Strava app on a phone and a dedicated GPS watch).
Garmin Fenix 7 Pro - I do not want to be charging every day or so! I also do a lot of cycling and walking so it's perfect for my lifestyle.
