Still using my Garmin Vivosmart 4, it does everything I need, no subscription. I also use the free visible app.

I’ve been using a Vivosmart 4, still works so haven’t upgraded. Have heart rate alerts set at 100 and 50. I wish the upper threshold would alert even if I am moving, but no other complaints. I recharge it every week or so. I also use the Visible free app for symptom tracking and morning HRV.

If you’re ok with not having a flashy screen, I still use a garmin vivosmart 4. It doesn’t do food tracking afaik, but garmin app integrates fine w/ myfitness pal. Unsure of other integrations. Anyway, the vivosmart4 is discontinued, but if you can find a used/refurbished one, it might run you less than 200.  (Didn’t realize it was discontinued as I was writing this, my bad)

My vivosmart 4 is still working fine but looking worse for wear after 6+ years of constant use so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they release a new vivosmart that feels sleek like the 4 instead of chunky, cheap and plasticky like the 5 🤞🏻 Personally it's not the price point I care about. I just want something unobtrusive.

I got a Garmin vivosmart 4 on ebay for around 50 USD. I don't use GPS or sleep tracking, etc...I mainly use it for heat rate tracking and does what I need. Cheap, simple, and fairly effective. Ebay or some reseller will be your best bet as the newer models are the ones being pushed. Like I said, super simple, mainly for heart rate tracking and a few really small simple things...for a decently cheap price.

I have had a Garmin Vivosmart 4 for almost 9 years so it's getting pretty old and I'm starting to think I want more detailed insights into my health, specifically HRV (curious to see if it changes in the coming weeks as a potential indicator or labour onset - I'm 30 weeks, 6th pregnancy). My wrists are \*tiny\* so a lot of models are just too bulky and I've been trying to find something smaller. I'm considering the following: Fitbit Charge 6 - I like this one, but I don't think I'd use all the features, so is it worth my money? I like how it has an ECG function, I go for ECGs every 18 months to keep an eye on an underlying condition. Fitbit Inspire 3 - small, which is great because my wrists are tiny. No ECG function which is a bit of a bummer but I could live without it. No smartwatch functions. Hume Band - this was looking good but it's reviewed really poorly. Plus it only comes in black. Blah. I don't have a huge budget, so things like Whoop, Oura etc are too much. Garmin is also too expensive. Am I missing something?

I’d kind of like something to replace my Vivosmart 4 which I wear when I don’t need the bigger watch. The 5 looks a lot wider so something with no display would be ideal!!
