But I checke if I change from my 41mm pixel 2 to pixel 4 41mm the battery size is almost the same 45mm is too big for my wrist

I went from the PW2 to a 41mm PW4 (didn't want to re-buy a lot of the bands I had) and it was still worth it to me. I thought the PW2 was completely fine and mine was still usable, but I felt like the better battery life and faster charging was significant in my day to day in just not having to worry about the battery lasting throughout the day anymore. And as someone that felt like the bezels weren't THAT big of a deal on the PW1/2 because of the design.... the difference in real estate was really nice to have.

Getting right to it, I love this watch and am glad that I made the switch as well as went with the 41mm size (LTE). It's way above the Garmin in smartwatch functionality and is like having a mini-smartphone on my wrist. The hi-res display looks great and I like things like the colorful notifications and being able to see emojis and photos in SMS messages. I don't care about sleep tracking and some other "fitness" features so shut it off overnight and easily get 3 days on a charge. The charging stand is also really convenient compared to the short and finicky charging cable for my Venu 2+. However, as a sport tracker it falls short, and if I were still a runner I would probably end up using this as my daily watch but keep one of my old Forerunners to strap on when going for a run (like the pre-smartwatch days when I had a "dress watch" and a "running watch"). Fitbit is just not in the same class with Garmin. For example, the other day I went onto the Garmin Connect website (Fitbit has no equivalent!) and was able to look up a bike ride that I took 10 years ago to see what route I had taken. It's a whole different environment. I'm now using the Strava app on my PW4 to track casual activities like walks, etc., and have a Garmin Edge for my more serious cycling activities. One activity-related positive about the PW4 is the GPS accuracy, which appears to be quite good. The other day, my wife and I went snowshoeing and I tracked our outing with the Strava app on the watch, which was under a couple layers of winter clothing as well as being in a wooded area. It did very well as could be seen from our return leg on the same trails that we had started on with the tracks exactly overlaying. So kudos for getting that right. HR also seems reasonably accurate although I haven't used the watch for any activities strenuous enough to get my HR much above 120. I might try it someday on an indoor cycling route and see how it compares with my Polar HRM. In conclusion: great smartwatch, well worth the money, not a Garmin competitor for anyone serious about their running or cycling performance. (Watchface: Analog PRO)

1000%. I did it. Pixel watch 2 41mm wifi to a 4 41mm wifi. It's a huge leap. The main thing for me is the screen. With way smaller bezels and a more domed screen underneath, it feels like a waaay bigger way. Then I'd also say battery life is better and the charging nodes being on the side is so much nicer. Lastly, having Gemini as the default instead of Google Assistant rocks

Google Maps was never really good for hiking, have you tried downloading and using one of the apps on your watch like AllTrails, Gaia GPS or OS Maps (if you're in the UK)? The Pixel Watch 4 dual-band GPS/GNSS should give decent location accuracy.

Indeed. I went through the crazy phase of buying everything to guard my pixel watch 3 45mm and all of them even the expensive zagg ones were shi+. For my Pw4 I wear it bare and beautiful the way it's meant to be looked at and got pixel care for accidental damage for $5 a month through Google. Much better path for me.

I just transitioned from a Venu 2 to a PW4. After around a week, I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed in the fitness tracking compared to Garmin. I knew Garmin would have a leg up in fitness, but I didn't think the PW4 would lack some really basic fitness functionality. I like how Fitbit creates custom workouts based on your goals and metrics, but its inability to transfer those workouts to the watch is really strange. With Garmin watches, when you create a workout, it will tell you what exercise to do, automatically tracks reps and has timers for rest periods. Not the case with the PW4, which seems like a real miss given how it wants you to sign up for Fitbit's AI features. The Gemini integration may be the thing that keeps me with the PW4. I really like just pulling the watch up to my face to ask it a question. I also feel the sleep tracking is more accurate than Garmin's.

For basic watch needs there's no need but personally I've upgraded to the new watch model that came out since first owning the PW1 for improved battery life, call quality and UI experience. I'm definitely noticing an improved experience from the PW3 to PW4.

I used a Charge 2 for 4 months last year and it massively overcounted steps, so much so that it was useless. Sleep tracking, on the other hand, seemed pretty accurate. I have had a PW4 since the end of November 2025 and it is much more accurate with regard to step count, though I find it still adds steps incorrectly when I'm doing anything with lots of arm motion such as washing dishes or folding laundry. For me it falls within the acceptable margin of error. The sleep tracking on the PW4 is also good, though as I mentioned, my ancient Charge 2 was decent so I don't see a huge difference there. The biggest improvement I have noticed is that when you edit sleep times (because the PW4, like the Charge 2, just gets it wrong at times), the Fitbit app updates all of the detailed sleep data (sleep score, sleep stages). That did not work often with the Charge 2 but always works with the PW4.

I find the PW4 accurate comparing step count. For sleep, I'm not a fan of any watch and use the oura ring. I find that to be much much better. I had the Apple Watch Ultra 2 prior to the PW4 (bought in December) and think they work fairly close to one another.
