Google Pixel - Pixel Watch 4 45mm LTE

My new 45MM PW4 came off the charger (after applying the OS update) last night around 7PM. I have always on display on, tracked a one hour spinning workout, and I am sitting at 74%. I came from the 45MM PW3, which was getting me almost 2 days from a full charge (more like 40 hours), so I am very curious to see how this goes over the next few weeks.

The main thing for me was getting a 45mm watch. The 41 felt a little small on my wrist. Dual band GPS is a god send for me as a runner, so I'll have much more accurate GPS tracking. Also the increase in battery size and charging speed were other things for me

Most recently had had galaxy watch 6 classic 43mm, watch 7 44mm, and watch 8 40mm, all great watches . Wanted to go back to pixel watch since all the improvements so I sold my watch 7 and got the pixel watch 4 45mm.. it's my favorite of them all now. Great display and battery life is the best out of them all.

Same! PW2 to 4 45mm and I'm in shock. I'm now over 27 hours in and at 68% battery still available. This will easily get me 48 hours or more.

Coming from the previous model (Pixel Watch 3) I'm also impressed with the 4's battery life!!

I'm on 31h and 10min with pw4 45mm Bluetooth with 30% of battery left!!! I'm so relieved I don't have to run to the charger every time i come from work 🤣

Took my PW4 45mm off the charger Friday morning, general normal use during the day, sleep track that night. Saturday battery was still good, so let it ride all the way through Sunday night when I charged it when it got down to 10%. Friday morning 100% Sunday night 10% AWESOME! Note: wifi only version with AOD always on :D

The battery life is very good on my Pixel Watch 4 45mm too. I just hit 50% battery (started at 100%), after 39 hours. Assuming it's linear (which is not always the case) I'll be able to get close to 80 hours battery life, or three and a quarter days. On my old Pixel Watch 3 45mm, which I still own, I was able to squeeze out about 52 hours on one charge with the same settings and same watch face and same usage pattern (or as close as I can get). So.. going from 52 hours to \~80 is a massive improvement. Remains to be seen though if the battery level indicated is accurate and linear. Would not surprise me if the remaining 50% will drain faster than the first 50%.

About 61 hours now, and 21% battery left. Estimated total battery life by the time the watch shuts off is currently just over 77 hours. That's almost 50% better than my Watch 3 45mm with same settings, same watch face and same usage pattern. Or as similar as it can get, at least. There are of course slight differences, this is not exactly a controlled experiment in a lab. Still, very impressive battery life if this holds up. Will update again tonight.

Final update. Just hit 72 hours, three full days, and there's 7% battery left. The battery saver kicked in at 15%, so in the end I think I would probably have been able to hit about 80 hours total, but I am going to sleep soon and I don't want it to shut down in the middle of the night, as I want to track my sleep. I am very happy with the battery improvements compared to the Pixel Watch 3 45mm.

I upgraded from a Pixel Watch 2. I used to wear my watch from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and I would be at 68% battery. This was w/o the always on display. This is my first day with the PW4 45, and I wore it from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and it is at 86% batter (no always on display). I am impressed with the battery life. I have enjoyed mine. The biggest difference is the battery life. No longer have to worry about bringing the charger on short trips.

To add to this, I went to a gig in London recently and had my Pixel Watch 2 with me and somehow left my watch charger at home. It was fully charged when I left the house and was using the watch to help me navigate around the tubes and London etc. It was on its ass battery-wise by the end of the 1st day and it ended up being a dead bracelet for the gig itself and my 2nd day in London. Worthless to me. Now I have the PW4 4.5mm and I'm looking forward to being able to actually use it for 2 days without worrying about it dying.
