You might have problem finding $300 watch with both eSim and 3-4 days battery life... Huawei Watch 5 is probably the closest you can get to it, but it's payment system is a shit and outside of China you need to do some workarounds. Maybe Galaxy Watch 8 would do, but the battery will be more like 2 days (which is still better than your current watch). The ultra version might give you 3 days, but it's closer to $500. Oneplus watch 3 is promising, but still lacks LTE outside of China. The rest is covered, 5 days battery. Upcoming Pixel Watch 4 is great SMARTwatch, but has a shit battery and iffy swim tracking. Of course there are Suunto, Garmin and Coros with battery life of over a week, but no chance for esim in this price range. Only Fenix 8 Pro, but its $1300.
My Huawei watch 5 gives right left balance, contact time, vertical bobbing, besides cadence and other metrics. I bet so do the newer Amazfit watches.
Go with the Huawei. The best battery-time, best Sunflower GPS tracking, TruSense health monitoring. There is nothing better then this. Go with the Watch 5 with eSIM or Watch GT 6 Pro.
Hi there. I bought the Watch 5 a week ago, coming from a 2018 Samsung Galaxy Watch with wearOS that still works perfectly. As for smartwatches, i mainly focus on design, screen and watchfaces. Sports tracking and health measurement is also important, but 3d party apps is almost useless to me. Having said that, i love the huawei watch 5 screen, design, OS interface, menus, navigation, etc. Health measurement is amazing, not only because the new x tap sensor, but because of the Huawei Heath app, which has excellent tracking. Also the watch itself is sleek, and georgeous. I have the titanium version. It only weighs 55gr, and its very comfortable to use all day, even while sleeping and exercising. Having said that... 3d app support is way worse than Wear OS or Tizen, of course. Google maps is not available, and notification management is also worse. You cannot view WhatsApp images or the whole conversation. Third party store is pathetic. You cannot browse it on the phone, you have to manually browse it on the watch, which is very cumbersome. A 650€ watch, which is supposed to be premium, shouldn't have such poor app gallery. And laat but not least... battery life has been EXTREMELY disappointing for me. Not disappointing, but EXTREMELY disappointing. Huawey claims 4 day on a regular use. Ive seen a few youtubers claiming 5 day usage (on normal mode. Not battery saving mode). I have always on DISABLED, autobrightness, im not using the gps, i dont receive that many notifications and im not using a particularly demanding watchface. Im only getting TWO days usage between charges, which is the same i was getting on my Galaxy watch, which is 7 years old, and has a fully-fledged OS and app store. I don't know, i like the watch overall, but i think it is too expensive for what it offers. Had i known about real battery life usage, i may have bought the oneplus watch 3.
Had a similar situation(just lower budget) as yours, and I chose Pixel Watch 2. The UI, software updates, and fitness tracking are way, way better than what Samsung is offering. Still kind of upset that Huawei is sanctioned. I have a Huawei Watch 5 as a gift from a friend. That thing is built like a piece of jewelry. Too bad no apps, no NFC payments.. Go Pixel Watch if you don't have a Samsung phone. It's way better.
Hello Everyone I would like to share over 10 weeks of data for you to have a glimpse on and see the difference with these 3 fitness tracker (Huawei Watch 5, Oura Ring 4 & Whoop 5.0 MG) . I will provide data such as RHR, HRV, Sleep (Total Sleep - nap time inclusive, DEEP Sleep & REM Sleep) , Steps and Respiratory Rate for the last 8 days. Just for your information. My sleep pattern is way off because I work in aviation field. Most my duty during the night and come back during the afternoon. Find it hard to sleep as you can see from the data below. In summary, For workouts: The most accurate was Huawei watch 5.I have worn polar strap and it was identical with almost no lag. Whoop 5.0 MG was good just few bmp lower. The least accurate was Oura Ring 4. Hardly picks rapid changes in heart rate. For Sleep: Oura Ring 4 and Huawei watch 5 does detect nap with almost high accuracy I can say with similar total time but differs on REM & DEEP SLEEP. While on the other hand whoop doesn't add nap with your total time asleep And there is no adjustment with strain after the Nap! For Steps: Huawei watch 5 tends to over read comparing to Whoop 5.0 MG & Oura Ring 4. For HRV: OURA & WHOOP have similar results while Huawei Watch 5 is way off. For me personally. I like the Huawei watch 5. It has everything you need although some data isnt accurate. Best interface which shows all data in one page is the Aura Ring 4 and whoop has the best Stored Data to follow up with your fitness goals. For Heart health: For those who have irregular heart-beat during the day. Huawei Watch 5 can detect it using the x-tap feature or when it does a random check during the day. Sad Whoop 5.0 MG doesnt detect irrigular heart beat but it does detect Afib and so do Huawei Watch . For one time purchase and no monthly subscription. Huawei Watch 5 is a strong contender. They need to fix few things to be all rounder. Huawei watch 5>Whoop 5.0 MG>Oura Ring 4 Hope this helps some people to choose which product if there aiming to get one.
