Huawei watch fit 4 pro or huawei watch gt 5
Both of them are pretty accurate. The GT series has the TeueSense sensor.
Guys, I am STRUGGLING. I’ve been a long-time Fitbit user for years but obviously they’ve now been completely nerfed by Google, I would never get another one. I loved Fitbit because it was simple - I just want a basic fitness tracker (ideally by a well-known brand) that does steps, tracks sleep, workouts, readiness/recovery insights, hourly activity/stand reminders. One of the biggest things for me is a simple user interface; something I’m not going to get overwhelmed by. Workout-wise, I’m mainly going to be resistance training and some yoga, walking and will build up to running so a good GPS would be nice. I’d prefer something that looks less like a fitness tracker and more like a watch, that’s suitable for smaller wrists (no ridiculous sized screen). I sweat pretty heavily so need a band that will cope with that but I know you can get interchangeable ones. I’d prefer something with good battery life. I’ve since tried the Amazfit balance, which I was completely overwhelmed by, with the sheer amount of data I just don’t need. I know I could just not look at it but I still find it so overwhelming. I then tried the Huawei GT 5 and the app is so ugly. There’s ads and I just want to be able to look at the bare minimum I need to get the information I want. I’ve considered an Apple Watch (I’m an iPhone user) but the battery life is terrible and it’s more like having a phone on your wrist - just want something simple for wellness/fitness, not a smartwatch (sorry, I know this is a smart watch Reddit lol) I know I’m being very picky here, but since Fitbit went down the drain there seems to be a huge gap in the market for a simple fitness tracker, unless I’m missing something! TIA :)
I recently purchased a Garmin forerunner 265. I was using a Huawei watch gt5 up until then but the Garmin is probably the best investment I’ve made for my running journey so far. The tracking is night and day compared to any smartwatch I’ve used before. I’d say spend the little bit extra if you’re planning to be serious because from what I’ve seen, the garmin watches last a while. I battled with the same thing of not wanting to overspend when starting out, but a friend reminded me that if I’m serious about this, why not invest in myself and have it benefit me throughout the journey. Check out reviews on the forerunner 165 and 265. Good luck!
You might have problem finding $300 watch with both eSim and 3-4 days battery life... Huawei Watch 5 is probably the closest you can get to it, but it's payment system is a shit and outside of China you need to do some workarounds. Maybe Galaxy Watch 8 would do, but the battery will be more like 2 days (which is still better than your current watch). The ultra version might give you 3 days, but it's closer to $500. Oneplus watch 3 is promising, but still lacks LTE outside of China. The rest is covered, 5 days battery. Upcoming Pixel Watch 4 is great SMARTwatch, but has a shit battery and iffy swim tracking. Of course there are Suunto, Garmin and Coros with battery life of over a week, but no chance for esim in this price range. Only Fenix 8 Pro, but its $1300.
My Huawei watch 5 gives right left balance, contact time, vertical bobbing, besides cadence and other metrics. I bet so do the newer Amazfit watches.
Had a similar situation(just lower budget) as yours, and I chose Pixel Watch 2. The UI, software updates, and fitness tracking are way, way better than what Samsung is offering. Still kind of upset that Huawei is sanctioned. I have a Huawei Watch 5 as a gift from a friend. That thing is built like a piece of jewelry. Too bad no apps, no NFC payments.. Go Pixel Watch if you don't have a Samsung phone. It's way better.
