Why did you changed from Epix Pro gen 2?

I currently have Garmin Fenix 6x Sapphire, wanted an update and took Huawei Watch GT6 Pro, but didn't like it and returned it. I'm currently wondering between few watches: \- Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro \- Garmin Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire Solar (used) \- Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 (used) \- Garmin Venu 4 I've read that Garmin Fenix 7 and Epix are out of feature updates, only maintenance and security updates. Garmin Venu 4 have no maps and have weak battery(not too big of an issue)

In my experience for now seems better than Garmin Fenix 6x Sapphire and Huawei Watch GT6 Pro, but uglier.

HUAWEI GT-5 or 6 works flawlessly with my iPhone 13 and 15. The GT5 is a good looking very functional watch with a long battery life. The GT5 Pro is on sale as the new model GT6 is being released.

You forget Huawei, better sensors than Garmin (one of the best HR sensor with Apple) and better battery life on the GT series (21 days) for around half the price. GT6 beats the 570 in every aspect for less than half the price.

Amazfit is better since it offers more features for your sports, especially for weightlifting (sets, reps, creating workouts and follow it on the watch, customized data pages, intervals, etc), while Huawei can only start a workout and end it. Zepp app allows export to fit and gpx files, while Huawei app is locked in and has no export options. Sensors are very good and comparable on both of them. Training metrics (load, recovery) is much more accurate on Amazfit. Huawei always shows low figures for everything except for running. Huawei has more accurate calorie expenditure algorithm.

GT Pro series is essentially a "sports/fitness" watch. Premium materials, absurdly good battery life (like, 20 days), but it doesn't run a full smartwatch OS. You can take phone calls, see notifications and use basic maps, control your phones media and all your fitness tracking, but the "apps" you download are basically nothing. Needs to be tethered to a phone to work. The "Watch" series is a "proper" standalone smartwatch, in that it has it's own WiFi and eSIM support, and you can run "apps", although given it's HarmonyOS there's not a huge ecosystem in the west. Much bulkier, lesser battery life. I personally prefer the GT series as they're slimmer, and you can literally just leave it on your wrist for weeks at a time without worrying (and get proper sleep tracking), and I can live without the smartwatch features. My basic needs and notifications, call control, music control. GT Series does it fine. Ultimate series is basically a cracked up GT watch with absurd materials.

Not sure if the watch will sync to Strava (it might, but I don't use strava). Last I checked, Maps on the GT series requires you to set destinations on your phone, but once that's running it'll stream everything over. GPS tracking is perfectly fine, if you just want the tracking data and not to actually use maps for navigation. Music on the GT series is mostly about controlling music you've started playing on your phone. You can't see the playlist, you can just skip, go to previous, play pause, etc. You can manually add tracks to the watch, but the player is very basic; no streaming. Your headphones or whatnot will still mostly be connected to your phone. Huawei Watch can stream, but IDK any streaming apps for it. Ultimate series exists for rich people or scuba divers really. If I had the money to waste I'd buy one, but not for any specific feature 😅

Huawei sounds like a good option for you. It automatically syncs with Apple Health, battery life is great and the stats are pretty accurate. Oh, and the price is also not too expensive (for the GT series, that is). Another option could be Garmin, but their prices are high.

If you will use the new functions that the watch allows you, it is totally worth the change. If it is only decorative, there are smartwatches with longer battery life at the same price. I went from the Huawei GT Line to the Galaxy, and it was totally worth it. If you have an LTE and you are worried about not being able to call in emergencies, use the "Watch Only" mode, you get up to a week of life and you use it when you need it.
