I went from a Fitbit Alta (RIP), to a Charge 2, to a Charge 5, and finally my current Charge 6 so there's a pretty clear trend in the types of devices I like, I guess. I had the original Moto 360 watch before moving to Fitbit and while smartwatch tech has come a long way in the past 10-15 years, I hated that thing because I don't want a small computer / large screen on my wrist. But I do care a lot about tracking the things I mentioned in my post so I want to keep the tracking plus a way to tell the time of course. I think my plan is going to be trying the Lily 2 Active for a bit, and then if I don't like it, moving on to the Withings ScanWatch or something similar. I looked into the Venu and its too smartwatch-like for my tastes, I really want something minimal that still has accurate tracking and at least some form of basic screen.

r/AppleWatchI’m really tired carrying an out-of-battery watch around.

Which watch are you using? And how old is it? I had one of the very first smartwatches, the Moto360. I thought it was awesome, an amazing novelty, and it was new enough that strangers would ask about it. But then I stopped wearing it after the novelty wore off, because the battery wouldn’t last a day. I have an S10, and the battery is usually between 40 and 50 percent when I take it off for the day. My ultra, which I used to wear daily, but now only for swimming and workouts, would routinely end the day with 60% What are you doing that your battery doesn’t last? If you’re using a watch that’s five years old, I understand the complaint. Tech pieces don’t last forever, but that’s an inherent issue with this type of device.

That's bad news for me, because I absolutely hated my Apple Watch series 5 for the 2 years I wore that. I very much preferred the moto 360 I had before switching to iPhone.
