Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I have a samsung Galaxy Fit 3. Works just fine and it's like 50€
I'll second the fit 3. costs $50 but has most of the galaxy watch sensors, plus the battery lasts 5x longer
Hi, I'm currently using Strava for tracking my activities but I'd like to buy a smartwatch to track sports that make it impossible to have a phone on me (swimming, badminton) and get HR reading on other activities (inline skating, cycling). I was wondering about Amazfit BIP 6, because it's cheap, and syncs with Strava, but apparently Zepp app doesn't have a feature that allows sharing live location. Strava beacon is a very important safety feature for me, and I don't want to lose it. So I have 2 questions: 1. Is there relatively cheap smartwatch that works with android, syncs with Strava, has safety features like beacon and works for those four activities I listed? Or 2. Is it worth to buy Amazfit BIP 6 for badminton and swimming and HRM belt for inline skating and cycling? I am aware that a garmin watch would be perfect for me, but their products are way to expensive for me, also I don't want to make that kind of investement for a watch that might stop being supported by Strava (I don't want to switch apps, Strava has most of my physical activity from 2018).
Heart rate and time spent doing specific activity, but I don't want to use general "cardio mode" for everything that isn't swimming/cycling, because most of my activities would be "cardio". I don't run at all, my favorite sport is inline skating, so getting something that doesn't support that activity seems kind of pointless. Especially that idgaf about the running functions (since I don't run, lol). Anyway, I decided I'll get Samsung Galaxy Fit 3, since it's cheap, simple and small, also supports the activities I do.
You can't go wrong with the Galaxy Fit 3. It's cheap, reliable, it has amazing battery life. I've bought it as a temporary fix when my Watch 4 went down and didn't saw any major reason not to keep it as my swimming watch, even tho I eventually got the Watch 7 for my daily use. Fit 3 is the one dealing with chlorine nowadays, and it's doing great.
If your cell phone is Galaxy it is highly recommended but if it is from another brand it does not work very well, I had it but it was not compatible with my cell phone
I wear the Fit3 every day and rarely take it off unless I'm weighing myself or showering. I find sleep tracking is semi-decent, but sleep time seems to be based off when you're moving/not moving. Seems to pick up when I'm tossing and turning in the night pretty well, as well as when my partner wakes me getting up for work lmao
