"Blood pressure. The main reason I wear it."
"It looks like you can actually add custom workouts on the Samsung Health app. It can track specified data like Sets/Rest or calories burned. You can select free weights/machine etc ... Looks like you can also create routines. Shit, I might use this"
"BP is also VERY accurate but in the US it needs to be side loaded because FDA has never cleared it even though it's been working in most other countries for 5 years."

Yeah, the battery on the FE is definitely the shittiest of the current lineup. The FE is actually a rebranded Watch 4, which had a slightly smaller battery and a worse screen than the Watch 6 or Watch 7. Honestly, if you can, it might be worth swapping yours out for a Watch 6 or Watch 7 for the slightly better battery life. I mean, battery is still going to be kind of shit, but at least you should be able to get a single full day out of the 6 or 7. Also, sorry about the haters! I think your nails are fun!
former Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 40mm series here: battery is kinda meh, almost reaching 10-15h until battery is discharged. performance was also meh, but Samsung Health was plenty of features, from calories intake, to water drunk, to a plethora of exercises I've just switched to OnePlus watch 2R. is still wear OS, but more "vanilla"-ish. Battery life is amazing, never heard on any other watch (they use a new dual-architecture system). those are along the smartwatch line. if you don't want a smartwatch, but rather a fitness watch (a dumber smartwatch maybe?) then you should go for Coros, Garmin or Polar
I can't say exactly watch 4 > watch 7/8, but I had a watch 4 40mm then a 6 classic 43mm and now the 8 classic and I can say the jump between each was pretty big in terms of snappiness and battery life. Id imagine going from a watch 4 that's several years old, your battery is likely super worn and the new watch would be a huge upgrade maybe double to triple, plus the screen is now sapphire. My watch 4 was scratched pretty bad, but my watch 6 looks literally brand new. I just went to the beach and had my watch in the sand on accident, not a single scuff on the screen (sapphire is very hard compared to sand and dirt and quartz :) ) id say do it man. Better health tracking, better battery, smoother experience, and much more durable screen.
Bought it yesterday on [Motorola.com](http://Motorola.com) for $130 - probably see it Tuesday due to the holiday. I went from a Samsung S24 FE and went to the Razr 2025, but the Galaxy Watch FE I have just doesn't sync up quite right all the time. I don't use it to respond to texts or do much besides the activity stuff and seeing notifications without looking at the phone. I am trading the Watch FE in @ Best Buy for $75 trade-in. Just gonna cut my losses. Watch Fit seems to come with a lug connector, should be able to use my 22mm Watch FE bands on it.
I am using Samsung Galaxy Watch that syncs with my Samsung Galaxy phone
I wore my galaxy watch for 3 years climbing with no protection on it and while it got some scratches, it never really got anything on the screen and nothing cracked, it's a pretty durable piece of hardware. The only time it really got in the way of climbing was on the occasional very large sloper where you get an arm on the hold and on crack climbs. I don't wear it anymore because I no longer enjoy smart watches in general, but it was a pretty solid piece of tech in terms of durability.
I've been eaten alive for saying this, but I'll say it again. Most information available comparing smart watch accuracy find them pretty close to each other. If you want something to generally track this information then Galaxy Watch is a perfectly fine pick. If you're doing more extreme sports then someone more rugged like a Garmin smart watch might be a better pick. If you want the absolute most accurate measurements then get a medical device that measures that. Smart watches are not designed or claim to medical devices. Just accurate enough to be useful overall. You may have times where it misses something or has blips but the overall result is accurate to be actionable. And Galaxy AI can offer suggestions that may be helpful in improving your health or exercise routine.
Neither does galaxy watch. These watches last lole 1 day at max meanwhile Garmin can last for a whole week in a single charge.
For most a garmin a more than enough and that battery is a huge win. I went from galaxy watch to fenix and would not go back. Sounds like we are aligned :-)
I use my galaxy watch because I like to listen to music while I climb without having my phone near by. I use a protective screen on the watch. I run through em quickly.
