Suunto Peak 5 is good, the 7 is apparently even better. Currently in Nepal trekking and using the Peak 5.
Love my coros pace 3 for xc skiing. Way better at it than my previous Suunto 5 peak
I do hiking, cycling, running, yoga and gym in addition to climbing, and like my Suunto 5 Peak for all of it. It allows me to indicate active time and nonactive time (belaying etc). It has been really durable as well, although I do take it off for trad climbing
I've had the Suunto 5 Peak for a few years now. Generally enjoy it (triathlons, downhill skiing, ski touring), have had to get it replaced twice and found customer service to be wonderful. However, I find the pool swimming mode to be awful and constantly undercounting my laps. Last week, I swam 1650 yd and it counted it as 1200 (!). I've tried being more intense with my turns/kickoffs, no change. Anyone else having this issue? Are there other models out there that have better performance? I've looked at switching to Garmin watches, but the app seems inferior to Suunto and it'd be a shame to lose all my historical data.
