I have been using UH for more than a year now and I align with all the reviews posted. If you want to read about the positive things you can look up their subreddit
Sleep tracking is okay-ish. Activity and workout tracking is very off. The best thing about them is their mobile app I'd say
Also same problem at work I use a Fitbit and ended up getting a health tracker ring - love it just use the Fitbit as a digital watch and alarm now
I got the Ultrahuman one but they don’t sell them in the US at the moment some sort of lawsuit with oura effective in October. You might be able to find some residual stock at Walmart or best buy I got mine from Best Buy
I also wear an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I wouldn’t say a smart ring adds very much over what the AWU already provides, in terms of data. It’s more about how it aggregates and displays the data that’s more helpful. I really wanted to get better about tracking my sleep and wearing my giant Ultra watch to bed wasn’t comfortable so I decided to get a smart ring. I got the UltraHuman ring which is priced similarly to Oura 4 but with no subscription and I can tell you I wore it for 2 months and had nothing but issues. Looking deeper into Reddit, I found I was not alone by any means, in fact, it seems that the majority of users have reliability and connectivity issues. I finally had enough and threw the ring away and got an Oura 4 and it’s so much better, not only in terms of reliability / build quality, but in how it displays data and sets goals based on your data. I can’t speak for RingConn but UltraHuman sets impossible goals and activity metrics that do not move on a sliding scale. As an example, I slept poorly the other night and Oura recognized my recovery was low and lowered my activity goal to align with what’s realistic when you’re overtired and you didn’t have time to recover. It’s encouraging that even on bad days, goals can be reached by making them realistic. I’d much rather pay a subscription for something that works well than try to save $70 a year by getting something that won’t work half the time anyway. Buy nice or buy twice (like I did). Worth noting is both UltraHuman and RingConn were just banned from selling their rings in the US after October 21st in an ITC ruling that found they had infringed on Oura’s patent.
Ultrahuman has everything except good battery. Samsung has nothing except decent battery. That said, the new ultrahuman ring pro is about to come out. 14 days of battery life if I remember correctly! You might as well wait a bit for that one.
Check out Hume Band from Hume Health. I purchased a Hume Body Pod (smart scale) and am very happy with it. After getting the scale, they are now pitching me on the Hume Band. Looks like a Whoop clone. First, Hume BodyPod scale is excellent. Looks, build quality, the app is clear and well designed. I really like it after 2 months. FYI - I wore Whoop for 2 years and now have an Ultrahuman ring for 1.5 years. Reason to move to the Hume Band is that it will integrate with same app as the BodyPod. Haven’t done it yet.
Tried both UH and Ringconn simultaneously with Oura, got rid of both and keep Oura. Both have good data etc, but it's also a matter of personal preference about the app, imho - I like Oura UI the best, even after redesign. UH was my close second and I like certain features like the ability to upload 3rd party blood work. Ringconn was my personal 3rd place. If the money allow, I would recommend trying all three to see whichever works best for you personally.
