I got a Wahoo Rival it tracks everything well, and was only £100. Used to have fitbits but they kept dying.
My Garmin died on me, and not wanting to spend another $1,000, I picked up the Wahoo Rival three years ago. I was very happy with it until it fried after I forgot to take it off in the sauna. I recently got it again for $99 on sale a few months ago. Solid GPS watch with excellent battery life and multi-sport profiles. You can download workout files and upload them to platforms like TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu, Strava, and others. It covers all the core functions you want. One thing to keep in mind: the built-in heart rate monitor becomes unreliable when I’m really sweaty. That said, you can pair it to a chest strap for more accurate readings anyway. Also, I’ve found the pedometer significantly overcounts daily steps, so I wouldn’t rely on it if that’s a metric you care about.
What data are you trying to record? I use a Wahoo Elemnt Rival smartwatch but I'd probably need a chest hrm in combo with it because I take the watch off to use wrist straps. Duration... heart rate...
