The scan watches seem to do all they claim - I don't use most of them - but I wouldn't be buying another one, because the integrated battery cannot be replaced. It's advertised to take 500 charge cycles - which is all well and good but that's an almost meaningless metric - the charge capacity of the battery will very likely be a great deal less long before 500 cycles - like mine which gradually expired over 6 months outside the 2 year warrantee - the watch was still immaculate - but junk.

I've used a Scanwatch for three years and wouldn't recommend it for sleep tracking. It doesn't recognize biphasic sleep patterns and is inconsistent with daytime naps.

The scanwatch is very good. the 30 days of battery life depends on a lot of things depending on what you have activated. The documentation on their site is very clear. It’s the most beautiful hybrid connected health watch! It takes heart rate very well for health during the day (every 10 minutes) while walking or at night. But for sport it's less good, it's better to turn to another brand which is more sporty. The step counter is precise as well as the floors mounted. The Ecg and oxygen have been clinically validated. Notifications are limited but it's a health watch. Personally I just have notifications for treatments, reminders and calendar. A lot of people complain about this but in general it's always like that in reviews. So yes it has bugs at times, it's a shame that functions are announced but take a lot of time to come out. Which manufacturer has no problem Call, google microsoft everyone frankly every 2 months releases products which at times are buggy. My scanwatch nova lasts 3 weeks of autonomy and I recharge it while it is at 20%. I wear it every day but I don't sleep with it. I take an ECG and oxygen once a week. I start walking or hiking exercises and the frequency is always good. On the other hand, I do crossfit with a call watch because the screen displays more information, the heart rate is very precise and the GPS is included unlike the scanwatch which requires the phone.

Hi there, been between the two now for ages. Scanwatch is really crappy with sports tracking and subpar with sleep, so I usually have the Garmin for sports stuff and the Scanwatch as an EDC. And if I have a digital itch I switch it up. If you want a watch that looks like one and tracks some metrics but not too OCD or data hungry, don‘t think twice and get one. It‘s the nicest hybrid watch package out there. The analog Garmins look like children‘s toys in comparison. If you care about HR tracking, combine that nice Withings watch with a cheap Apple watch. Using Apple with the best tracker around for workouts and sleep tracking, you are finally getting the accurate sleep phase tracking Withings promised but never delivered. But all those numbersw don‘t mean much to me and I prefer having a real watch on my wrist…

Basically all the options in the market sync to apple Health. My favorite is either a Garmin (buttons instead of touch screen, many shortcuts via buttons, mip is less screen and more watch) or a Withings Scanwatch, which are the best hybrid watches that give you real watch vibes while still providing notifications and health metrics.

I like my Withings Scanwatch, it’s significantly cheaper than a Garmin or an Apple Watch at £230 or £330 depending on the version you select. Battery lasts a month and it’s an accurate heart rate and step tracker. It has a calorie tracking feature but I don’t use it to track calories so I can’t really comment on its effectiveness for that. It’s also waterproof so I swim wearing mine too! I also like that it can pass for a normal watch as the screen and pedometer dial are integrated into a regular watch face. However, it’s not touch screen but is operated with a tiny knob on the side, so it depends what you prefer really.

I have the original scanwatch and before that had a steel HR. It tracks steps well, pushes messages for a small number of select apps which I want prompting on, and notifies me if I'm getting a call. I run a few times a week and track my runs. Some are treadmill runs, and some are outdoors. I track my sleep, and sometimes my watch picks up other activities. I charge about once every 3 weeks or so. 99% of the time everything works seamlessly. There are a few niggles - sleep sometimes is lengthened by me laying in bed and having a coffee so I often have to manually adjust the sleep length to when I actually woke up - not a hardship, but probably something which I shouldn't need to do. I also find it under calculates calories - I use a polar heart rate monitor with my treadmill so would assume this is accurate and on a 10k my treadmill will suggest around 1000 calories whereas my watch will say 750ish. I can't compare for outside running with GPS as have no direct comparison but it seems to be the same sort of calorie assumption so assume it's under. Again, not an issue - more of an annoyance. My only major gripe is that I can't overwrite the calories to correct them and have it pull through. So, if I record the 1000 calories manually against my run, the lowered 750 calories remains the value in my total daily intake - manual adjustment are only recorded against that one metric and not pulled through elsewhere. Had a right ding dong with the customer service about that as it's really not helpful, but no changes. Anyway, yes, I'd recommend. I like that it looks like a watch and I like that it does the basics of a smart watch. I like the ECG and the O2 monitoring. I like the breathing prompts. And I particularly like wearing it for weeks without taking it off.

I have owned the Scanwatch and a Garmin. While the Scanwatch was a nice watch, and I definitely see a use case for it, it was not competitive as a sports/running watch.

I have a withings hybrid that I love. less ugly imo, was a decent price, and feels less like you have a piece of tech attached to you at all times. plus it measures everything I need and want
