I don’t use ring, but I had a Xiaomi mi band 5 (there’s mark 9 or 10 now I believe); they’re very cheap and decent, especially for the price. Not reliable data for strength training, but honestly no watch is. Totally good enough for cardio, and if you (hopefully not) burn out, you won’t feel bad for spending hundreds of $ on something you dont use. Also it has a PAI (Personal Acitovity Index) that updates daily and is visible on the main screen; I found this very motivating in the beginning and honestly I wish my Garmin had something similar too (luckily I’m past the point where no visible number change would stop me from wanting to workout).
Hello! I would like to ask you guys some questions. First of all, I am 20 yo dude who is planning on getting back to doing everyday activities (walking, swimming, gym etc). I have never had any fitness tracker except for old xiaomi mi band 5 when i was a kid. I would like to track my heart rate, seeing the results of my workout, sleep score and some basic smartwatches things like reading messages, listening to music (optional) and maybe more. I am nothing more than a amateur „athlete” I am nothing close to pro or even semi pro athlete. Lets say I am just a casual dude who likes to move his ass from time to time :) I would like to buy a watch, I thought about getting an apple watch se3 (ehh god damn apple propaganda :P) I did some research and I found that metrics from apple are pretty accurate, the watch is nice, good looking, and helpful in everyday situations. However the battery….. I read that for most people battery is a deal breaker, that Apple Watches battery is ridiculously bad. There was of course different point of view. Also I thought about getting garmin forerunner 165 or Vivoactive 5. I dont want t spend some much money cause I am „poor” student. If anyone reading this can share his opinion, recommendations I would be grateful:)) Have a nice day!
My Mi Band 5 was around 300SEK in 2020, and that has logical SW, you can set timer in the widget on the band, and it remembers it, in contrary to WPx that has a dumb widget, and so on...
I assume you are looking at the Galaxy fit 3 because of the subreddit you have posted in. Galaxy Fit 3 is excellent for it's price. Only gripe I have about it is it's battery life. It lasts only 2.5 days with AOD and everything turned (Continuous hr, sleep tracking, etc.) on. With AOD off, it gives way better battery life (abt 5 days). But still, it's the best choice at 3.3k. Don't buy from Indian brands like Noise, Boat, Fastrack, Fire-bott, etc. They are just drop shippers. They sell cheap Chinese watches which break within a year. They do offer replacement under warranty but are generally shitty health trackers. All of these my family has bought have failed but my Mi band 5 is still functioning. Albeit the battery is busted only lasting an hour, but still lasted 3.5 years without any issues. But the others had issues with a year and one got fried (no fire) 1 week after buying because I plugged it into a fast charger It has taken the place of Mi bands in the Indian market Tldr: Galaxy Fit 3 is a great product, battery life could have been better. Don't buy from Indian brands
I received as a gift a Xiaomi SmartBand watch 5 (between 89 and 119 euros) 16 days ago. I made this day a first full charge. I use it intensively since (obviously, new toy) and battery say I still have 43% battery left (16 days!). I am conscious it sound pretty suspect and I guess one morning it will show a sudden low battery left. But for now I enjoy this performance! All sensors are active, only display light is set to auto.
i have a samsung watch n i honestly prefer my old mi band, its not the most accurate (the samsung)
