I wear a fitness band on one hand and a normal watch on the other. Xiaomi band 8, it's actually amazing. 2 week battery life, tracks notifications and all the basic stuff id even want a smart watch to do for me, and it's small enough that it just looks like a regular bracelet when I put the screen in the palm side of my wrist.
I tried the xiaomi after band 8, its so inaccurate, thinks I'm working out just standing still, just ordered the band 10
Xiaomi Smart watches. I have a mi band 8. Love it. There's lots of different options within your budget
i have a samsung watch n i honestly prefer my old mi band, its not the most accurate (the samsung)
I use the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro which is a similar model. I do notice while you swim it undercounts by one length and then corrects itself later so it might a tracking issue. I think the main things are making sure you manually pause each time you stop swimming, and maybe check you've set the pool length correctly?
Lol same, upgraded from a miband to a garmin, its definitely way better at tracking distance accurately, and has a functioning gps. Also way higher battery life. If you have the budget, you can consider else the Miband is honestly the GOAT. PSA: there is a difference between the sport watches like Garmin and smart watches like apple watches with the apps and battery life. Depending on your use case you can uograde to either if you want more accurate tracking.
Yes, genuinely helpful - but mainly for habit building rather than data accuracy. The reminders, streaks and step goals create real accountability early on when consistency matters most. One caveat- ignore the calorie burn estimates, they're notoriously inaccurate and can mislead your nutrition tracking. For a beginner, a Xiaomi Mi Band or Amazfit gives you everything you actually need (steps, heart rate, sleep) at a very reasonable price. No need to spend premium money starting out. You can upgrade later if you want more features.
