+1 for cuisinart. Do yourself a favor and get one that has 2 mechanical levers instead of the ones with digital buttons. Pulse and on are all you need. It will never die.

I have a 4 cup Cuisinart that I use often. It’s probably 30 years old or more. I also have a 2 cup Cuisinart I bought a couple of years ago that I use rarely. I also think it’s no where near as substantial as my old 4 cup.

r/Cookingany suggestions for a budget friendly but powerful food processor?

The cuisinart 4 cup is really affordable! I find that I never need more than the 4 cup capacity personally, but it would be limiting for a large amount of pie dough.

r/AppliancesWhat’s the best food processor these days? In need of something reliable (and not impossible to clean)

A robo coup lol. Best investment I've made but i work in hospitality so it pays for itself. Also easy to clean and can take an absolute thrashing. FYI, This is the company that made the original Cuisinart food processors back in the day.

Don't really use blenders much. I do have a 1200 watt Ninja that I got @ Costco that works pretty well, when I need a blender I bought an All-Clad cordless immersion blender a couple of years ago because it was pretty cheap (\~$50). I got it because I have no power outlets near my stove, so a cordless one was in order As far as food processors go, get a classic style Cuisinart. Accept no substitutes. I bought one about 30 years ago, and I still have it. I've purchased others, and actually got my holy grail, which was a DLC-X, which is the 20-cup one that was actually rated for residential as well as commercial use. It is an absolute beast. They still make a 14-cup one w/ a stainless skin, in the style from the 80's. It's \~$200, which is what I paid for my 11-cup one 30 years ago!
