I use Preeti Master chef food processor. It can make cutting vegetables a breeze. I have tried the atta/dough kneader on another (Ninja brand) in USA. That made kneading and making cookies easier. It was useful to me as I was not very familiar with kneading atta for rotis. Cleaning effort is added step. But it is ok if you make large enough quanties.
Well, if it helps you decide I would point out one problem with the normal food processors. We Indians use many vegetables and fruits cube cut in our dishes and that can't be done properly in regular food processors even if we chose one with a width adjustment cutting blade. I am using Morphy richards icon superb with width adjustment feature and feel it is still lacking in vegetable chopping for the same reason and prefer my other hand dicer over it for many tasks. so I was looking for a change and found out Preethi zodiac has this feature. If you have the budget and need a cube cutting feature then check that out as well.
Yes, that is the issue. No brand model is an absolute perfection in this department and Very rarely companies offer only food processors parts compatible with their machines. Probably you are already aware but still there are some attachments on Amazon that fits some specific brand models you can check that out if it fits your requirement and machine. Search it as food processor attachment. Other than that while searching I kinda also liked this product for its compact size but the brand name is unfamiliar to me. https://amzn.in/d/0gglgd4T Hope it helps.
I have Ninja’s food processor with blender and everything. It’s about 30k and build quality it too good, works as new even after 4 years of usage. I even make my chappathi maavu with that in less than 5 mins. But I got my mother a Preethy zodiac for10k which basically does everything that my ninja does except chappathi maavu. Mom loves it.
Preethi zodiac cosmo and videm both have cube cutting plates. You get 2 sizes of cubes in preethi. I have preethi and i like it. Spares are cheap enough that the blades can be replaced if they dull. Videm has a stainlesss steel food processor container. More durable, but not as appealing as transparent plastic ones. Videm also have more cutting options than preethi.
Western blenders have sharp blades. So they cut. Preeti and Indian blades are blunt. So they pulverize. That in my view is a fundamental difference. Besides I like the fact that Indian jars are made of steel. In comparison Vitamix is plastic, so a little dose of micro plastic comes in food, specially because the food brushes against it at high RPM.
