Robot Coupe. Real professional grade machine. Second place, a Cuisinart Custom 14.

I have had at least half dozen food processors over 50 years. The best, by far, is the Robot Coupe. I have had two. I got my first as major present from my grandmother when I was in college. I had to get another after my divorce (the ex-wife got it). Yes, very expensive. Lots of power, everything goes in a dishwasher, just works, indestructible. Your kids will be fighting on who gets to inherit it. I have had disappointments with a variety of Cuisinarts and Kitchenaids over the decades. I really tried to like them but I alway lusted after my Robot Coupe. Finally a decade ago I splurged and got one again for me. No regrets.

I'll agree on robocoupe and Hobart, but waring shit is garbage. I've seen two relatively new waring blenders and a food processor die from normal use and they all kind of sucked before they died.

A robocoup will last years. I worked with one that was dropped so many times the plastic that the outside was made of was cracked in multiple places and the safety didn't work, and it would still do anything I wanted it too

Unless you are VERY rough with your possessions, you likely won't need replacement parts. They are available from multiple places online and in person (restaurant supply stores),however. Though they are not cheap

Robot coupe or their residential side - Magimix A good ol’ cuisinart is a good choice too. The other box store brands are toys. Don’t even consider them.

It is a product that is worth spending more on. The more you spend the longer it will last. As far as a recommendation, I've had a Cuisinart in my home use for about 15 years and I use it fairly often, still works great. I've never used anything other than a robot coupe in a professional kitchen and they are very reliable, but probably out of budget. However, if you're just getting into cooking you probably don't need one. Use the money you would've spent on a budget food processor and get a few nicer tools.

This is the only answer. Everything else is trash by comparison. Unless like Vitamix makes food processors now or something, but I'd still 100% go with robot coupe.  There are refurbished ones available if they're out of OPs price range and honestly I would feel comfortable with a refurbished one.

If money isn’t an issue you want a RobotCoupe. Those things get beat to hell in nearly every kitchen in America and work for years and years. You buy one and take care of it, and it will be passed on to grandchildren.
