Absolutely! It is fun way to produce great quality food from scratch. Also to get children interested in a healthy way to eat. I have had a Thermomix for 16 years, starting with a TM31 and you could take away every other means of cooking from my kitchen as long as you left me my Thermomix, even if it was only my original TM31. I had the TM5 and now the TM6 and yes I am a sucker for the 'latest'. I have had a go of the TM7 and can't agree about it appearing less robust. The actual bowl doesn't have the handle attached so may be that's why it apparently feels lighter? I did look at the insulated bowl cover and felt it might be tricky to clean but along with everything bar the base of course it can go into the dishwasher. I am 89 and still use my TM6 at least once a day often more to make good food that I still love to eat. Still make jams, sauces, chutneys, nut butters etc, they make much appreciated little gifts. Definitely you should go for it and enjoy!!

Hi, I am not a consultant but had I not become a lecturer, I would have been because I’m passionate about the brand. I have bought five Thermomixes. The TM31 a few years back, two TM 5 machines and two TM6’s. I still have the TM31 and a TM6. The others were gifts for my children. If I didn’t have a Thermomix I would definitely buy the TM7. However, I love my TM6 and my opinion is, if it ain’t broke, why fix it. I will be staying with this for now and waiting for any bugs to be fixed before taking the plunge. It may be worth buying a second hand TM6 for now. Fantastic machine. You definitely need two bowls for convenience. I hope you buy one. It was a game changer in my kitchen and I’m a good home cook. ❤️

I started using my TM7 now . Omg it’s shit - genuinely hard to use the outer bowl case is cheap plastic. We had the TM5 before and were very excited to get the new shiny thing but I would not recommend it. I used the TM6 also and that is the best so far . If I knew I would have never spent so much money on it. Hate that I can’t see what’s cooking used to love using the lid opening to create my own recipes and add ingredients as the TM was working. I will enquire about returning it. Very disappointing

Hey, I personally think you should go for the TM6. There’s amazing offers on at the moment and it’s a well known product, with no crazy glitches from a not so well known update. I have a TM5 and a TM6 and I love both. What country are you in? There’s options to do a cooking demo and have a play around so you can see id it will work for you. If you’re in Australia, I can pass you through some info :)

I bought a TM7 for my friends, who gave me their TM5, when they bought TM6 (2022.). When they received TM7, according to the deal, they gave me their TM6, and in addition I bought another TM6 with 5 years warranty and added bundle (additional mixing bowl, sliding board, cutter and spiralizer), which would be a really good deal even if they added only the additional mixing bowl (I still never used anything but that). The point for me, to keep with TM6, instead of buying neglectable (50€) more expensive TM7 was in a few things: Thermomix Friend, for soups, while I'm preparing a salad in TM6, so I can sit at the table together with the rest of the family. I bought two TM Friends, for each TM6, and maybe I'll buy another one, for (now) my son's TM5. Steam deflector (not yet, almost a year after releasing, available for TM7) which saved my kitchen cabinets from damage caused by condensed steam, by guiding the mass of steam into the exhaust fan (hub), while cooking broccoli (stem's) soup for 15-20 minutes or mashed potato for 20-25 minutes, etc. Availability of cheap (compatible) "handy" accessories on web. In comparison with Wundermix it is a big save. Hole in the lid!!! Because, when I make broccoli salad for 4-5 person (based on 400g of broccoli florets), I must be able to push content down to the blades with spatula, otherwise it will only overblend at the bottom, and remain intact at the top. Open lid is no problem for TM6 with a cheap Spätzle accessory (two parts, which of one is a "ring lid" with a big hole) bought on web. Seemingly easier to clean bowl. BTW, if TM5 had a 1g scale divisor (and hadn't a common scale failure problem), I would now have several TM5 (I could buy three of them for the price of the new TM6), and wouldn't envy to anybody who has TM6, let alone TM7. TM5 has simpler and more intuitive interface, yet have everything needed.

r/AskUKDo you have a food processor in your kitchen, and if so, do you feel that the appliance 'earns its space'?

bit of a different spin but i have a thermomix and i absolutely love it! it essentially combines multiple appliances together and in my opinion is well worth the money and the counter space! i use it at least once a day it’s so easy to clean as well as it does most of it itself you just need to give it a quick clean once it finishes (and obviously what you were making🙈) i love it so so so much! if you have the cash to splurge i’d so get one!

I have a Thermomix, it’s great for baby food but they move on pretty quickly to mashed food instead of puree pretty fast. Meat I just shred really finely or leave it in big chunks BLW style. Eg. Tonight’s dinner was mashed avocado, smooshed mince meat from before I added the taco seasoning and tomato wedges. She’s 7 months. Yesterday was mashed steamed pumpkin with a fork. But I’m definitely a sucker for nice looking appliances, so if you want it, who am I to convince you otherwise!!
