I've only used the mic in a discord lobby with a friend but it works well enough for that and from tests of my own audio it seems to be good on the latest firmware. What I will say is that the pro headset is seriously the most comfortable headset I have ever used. Comfort was the number one thing I was looking for and I rolled the dice on these based on a couple other redditors saying they were comfy and wow. Top tier comfort + awesome sound quality. I've worn them seriously for 8-10hours straight, basically without even feeling them on my ears/head vs the immediate discomfort I've felt with both my Corsair sets. Highly recommend the alienware pros

I’ve got mine recently, used it for a couple weeks, the sound quality is nice (after tweaking in Dolby Atmos) the build quality is comfy, I thought that the lack of rotation in the cups would be bad but honestly it’s been perfectly fine. The mic is meh, you’re not getting a studio quality mic but it’ll work fine for gaming (Ive done testing for myself and it gets the job done, I wouldn’t use the mic for streaming though). Battery life could be better but it does work wired so that’s not a problem for me. It doesn’t come updated out of the box so you’d have to install their drivers from dells website (I wouldn’t recommend using AWCC as it’s a pretty atrocious piece of software and completely unnecessary, the headset actually tries to install AWCC automatically when you plug in which I don’t like but you can simply cancel the install). Any sound tweaking can be done in Dolby Atmos which you get a free license provided with the headset. Overall I don’t have any issues or regrets in purchasing it, I like the color (I got the white/grey ones) the sound quality is surprisingly good but then again it does have some nice graphene drivers, between this and a set of Astro A50s I think I’d take the Alienware since I haven’t had any big issues like I did with the A50s as of yet but then again I’ve only used it for a few weeks now so we’ll see. I’d say if it’s in your budget it’s a good option

I ran anc on for about a week, only humming/crackling sound I had was when menu music would fade out in video games otherwise I haven’t had major issues.

You don’t need an activation code it will appear automatically once you connect the headset to your pc and open Dolby Atmos

I only had a crackling like noise when lobby music would fade out for me (in apex specifically actually haven’t had it in other games), if I’m listening to music or not playing anything at all there’s no sound at all like a normal headset. Are you using 2.4 or Bluetooth

I’ve only used 2.4ghz, have you tried downloading drivers from dell? I also have my dongle plugged in directly into my motherboard not through the usb cable, don’t know if that’d make a difference but it’s been working for me.

Alienware got it right with this headset. It is on the same level as the Logitech GProX2 if not better.

I have both the AW 920 H and the Alienware Pro headset. The difference is the build quality. The AW 920H has a fatal flaw the earcups break off. I am on my third pair and I take great care and they still broke. The only thing they should have done with the Alienware Pro Headset allow the earcups the ability to rotate flush like the Logitech G Pro X2 wireless.

Own Alienware and Audeze even the Playstation Pulse Elite aren't bad Maxwells are amazing but cumbersome this was further made apparent when I used the TurtleBeach Atlas Air no one talks about these open back headsets best Open Back in a decade which in return made putting the Maxwells uncomfortable Alienware Pro a recent purchase are light aesthetically perfect for gaming and I've used them gym wise also. Nice balanced sound and a good thump at the end

I was say which system? Console or  PC. Console wise Maxwell not even close mobile app gets a lil janky but EQ with @Gadgetry Tech on YT excellent sound profile. Alienware is decent on Console excels on PC with Dolby Atmos and again Gadgetry Tech lol. Smooth audio once you adjust AW bass it's dominant after that butter love the comfort and good ANC and Transparency mode I rock them at the gym also beautiful sound .Maxwells are to heavy but sitting still relaxing Audeze nails every genre in my opinion.

It's a loaded question sorta lol hear ne out Maxwells sound like an audiophile level headset it's amazing but they are so heavy Yiu will feel the fatigue especially long sessions. Alienware is a nice headset not as robust but above good lightweight they feel "adult" like they make sense? The look works home and out in public crisp neutral sound similar to Maxwells and consider your gaming also FPS RPGs Single player Maxwell isn't great at FPS but excels everywhere else Alienware is even across the board not amazing but really really good

With the pro headset out I would strongly encourage looking at those instead. WAY more comfortable, better battery life, no 0% battery bug and a better design without the hinge that has been known to fail.

At full price I would say no, they are priced too high, but at that price I would say yes for sure. I really like the Pro Headset, it's comfortable and has good sound ( for a gaming headset ). It's just priced too high when there is no sale IMO. I would go as far as to say they are easily the most comfortable gaming headset I have ever had. What are you using them with? The only downside is if you are using a system that does not support Command Center 6.0, as it will want that. If you have an Alienware system that uses an older version of Command Center that won't let you install 6,0 then it also won't let you install it for just the headset. If you have a custom build then it should work fine as you can install 6.0 on those.

I have not had any issues on the 2.4ghz with mine. I used them via bluetooth as well, they just don't sound as good due to not having the EQ settings when connected that way.

With the AW on sale + a 10% newsletter rebate it was like $100 difference for me, and even if I had the money I'm stearing clear of the Maxwell with all the problems I've read, however better they undoudtebly sound. I was pleasantly surprised with the AW. It sounds a lot better than my current Sennheiser Game One and Arctis 7 and I wont keep forgetting I have a wire when I get up. There was so few reviews but it was mostly positive, so I took a chance and was ready to send them back but so far it's been great. Did have to play with stereo mix to fix them missing the first half a second of pretty much everything after a minute of silence.

Mic is still awfull. It has incredibly agressive noice cancellation that'll keep cutting the first syllable of words. When I told Dell of this problem 6 months ago they thought it was the unit (I was certain it wasn't as the problem was known) so they sent a new one and it's the same thing, across 3 computers. No amount of playing with settings will change that until they fix the firmware. I am told to repeat pretty much everytime I use this mic instead of the other mic I got because this one is shit. Amazing sound, terrible mic.

Thank you! Im a worried because of the weight. With new cushions and headband it’s sometimes over 500g. What about the build quality… there is a hissing issue pretty often? With other presets the directional is fine? Since Im playing fps also The mmx200 having less Features. Theres no Eq to fix the sounding. So Right now Im more between the AW one and the Maxwell. But I can’t find good reviews there. At YT only 2 right now Techne and Gadgetrytech

Im testing around right now. The sound is more fuller and the bass is more heavy. For my ears it’s an Upgrade. Only AwCC bothers me so… and the Bass-boost with anc on is kinda weird. The ANC thing could be an update-thing

Tough question... In my case my 920h are over 2years old and Im having no issues with them besides this .. battery low and off within the next second bug. I think you have to try. The fit is better. It has no aux (for example). The mic is not important for me right now. The sound is nice but you have to rely on the AW CC a bit to set up your mic and Im not able to to so.. thats bothers me. In my case Im fine because I got a nice deal with 25% off. When you have no discount I would prolly test others

It depends on your use case. I went with the Alienware Pro's personally because I wanted an all-in-one headset that I would also be able to use if I were to throw it in my backpack and use it in a cafe. The Audeze Maxwell wouldn't do well for this because you need to treat them like glass to a certain extent. I'm pretty happy with the Alienware Pro's and the sound quality in general. The Audeze Maxwell's sound quality would be better though, but I think the imaging for footsteps would be worse. So it's all a trade off and depends on what you're looking for.

Like I said, it really depends on how you're going to end up using those headphones. Both Asus rog delta 2 and a50s are very solid choices, though the Asus rog delta 2's have a better mic but worse sound than the Alienware Pros. Is that something that matters to you? You should judge that yourself. The Astro A50X are an awesome pair of gaming headsets from what I know, but they require a base station to use, so you won't be able to use it in planes or whatever if that matters to you, but the A50X have a better mic and better sound than AW Pros AFAIK And neither of these headsets have ANC if that matters to you. Only AW Pros does. I recommend you check out the reviews for these headsets by GadgetryTech on YouTube. He has really good reviews. If price is the only thing that matters to you, then go for the AW Pros. They won't disappoint you.

Just got the Alienware Pro's. They're pretty good for music and gaming, but they're not perfect, but also, neither are the Audeze Maxwell's frankly. It's all a tradeoff. Mini Alienware Pro Review Cons: - Sound is great, but the treble is not the best. Most music and games sound amazing but music with a lot of treble like electric guitars or games with gunshots noises doesn't sound the best and can be ear piercing. - No simultaneous BT/wireless - No multipoint BT - No game/chat wheel - No action button so can't quickly pause music - Mic Quality is meh - can't store eq on the headphones Pros: - Great sound quality - mediocre mic quality, but it's super clear sounding and background mic noise isolation is good - passive and active noise cancellation is awesome - they're good for travelling / moving around. I bought a random headphones case for them from temu and I feel pretty confident about the durability of these if I through them in my backpack. - switching between the Bluetooth and wireless is quite good. Better than Maxwell from my research. - very comfortable. Overall, happy with my purchase. I just don't think the perfect wireless gaming headset exist on the market yet. There are a lot of good compromises, but I think everything has its own tradeoffs atm

I tried so many headphones and headsets it's crazy. The Maxwell is fine but really heavy and meh mic Rog Delta 2 has a good mic now and easy to EQ, but too expensive for what it is Razer is just average at best for most of them. Astro is great, but f the dock. JBL Quantum series sound is very average. Great bass Corsair Virtuoso Max audio quality is insanely below others at the same price point. Alienware Pro is 100$ too expensive, ears gets hot unde an hour and mine lasted 4 days. I heard good things about the Atlas Air.

Percebi outro problema com este fone de ouvido: ao segurar o botão ANC, o cancelamento de ruído do microfone é ativado/desativado. No entanto, não há diferença na qualidade do áudio entre essas opções. Theoretically, the audio should become crystal clear but with all the background sounds. However, that doesn’t happen.

I've had mine for exactly a week, and I'm dealing with the same issue. There are noises, like small tapping sounds on both sides, when nothing is playing and only the ANC is activated. I find this noise extremely uncomfortable, and it's clear that it started after I updated the headset's firmware. Did you update yours as well?

Currently im using BT5.3, but frankly it doesn’t matter which source I’m gonna choose. Even with no device connected there’s a humming noise coming from the left cup. My SO did also agree there’s some weird noise coming from the headset making her head feel uncomfortable. Already got my second pair and it sounds exactly the same. Not sure if I’d RMA it for another one and get a working one eventually. I mean what’s the odds two identical product got the same issue out of the box?

Yeah I did, nothing to be configured here, unfortunately. I did the same, basically I tried everything I could. The fact that it’s humming straight away with no devices connected at all makes it even more so odd. Guess I’ll live with it and get in touch with dell support in several weeks. Maybe there’s a newer revision or even an update upcoming. Anyway thank for your insights, much appreciated!

Arctis nova pro is garbage in my opinion it just doesn't have any bass even when you EQ it remains very weak and thin sounding in this area however treble comes across very clear and detailled and the imaging is pretty good if you only play competitive gaming it's a solid option. Though if you like to play story games i recommand something like the maxwell it sounds absolutly amazing but the comfort is as bad as it can be if you are really big person with strong neck and very little ears it might be comfy to you but if not the weight of the headphones will kill the back of your neck in less than 2 hours and the shallow pads will hurt your ears and don't even think about changing pads yeah it fixes the depth issue of the pads but it adds even more weight. So as a all rounder headphones i recommand the alienware pro wireless it sounds almost as good as the maxwell and it's way more comfortable however you ears gets very spicy in about a hour because the space inside the ear cups is not really there but it really never bothers me even now with the very hot weather. Edit: Ah yeah and if you are ever interested by wired headphones you have two others headphones that are worth it the pc38x and the epos H6 pro i don't know how the first sound but it gets a lot of praise around the gaming audio community and if you take the h6 pro make sure to take the open back i've tried the closed back and it's not really good sounding headphones compared to the open back which has more bass more detailled sound and it doesn't have this echoing boomy sound that the closed back have

I was just looking around trying to find what 3.9 is fixing and am updating the headphones right now. I actually use these headphones with ANC while roasting coffee on an fluidized bed roaster (air roaster) that has a huge exhaust fan hooked up and they are spectacular for that. I got these with points from buying a new computer and they would have been worth paying full price. Absolutely love this headset.

My Pro wireless headset microphone was cutting in and out. me and my friends set had similar issues and was one of the first batch from alienware. I contacted Alienware and they replaced with brand new sets that was manufactured on August 2025. Wow. the microphone is now way clearer. My colleagues and game mates now ask me whether did i change my headset. I guess alienware fix the mic issue already.

I bought them. Major positives and major negatives. The biggest positive is there are easily the single most comfortable headset I have ever used and I have MANY including nova pro, BlackShark v2 pro, Nova 7… they also feel and sound AMAZING right out of the box. Bass is amazing and well tuned. Now the bad bad downsides, #1 you cannot adjust the volume using the volume wheel on the headset, you have to go into volume settings EVERY time you want to adjust them when playing on PS5. Also, these do not work properly with Switch 2. They have two different volume channels including chat, and game and it constantly changes the channel and stops work EVERY time I dock it or turn it on.  All and all, I’m not sure how to feel about them. On one hand, they are the nicest feeling and best sounding headset I have used. On the other hand, having to go into settings to just change the volume is a crazy bad software design that is bad for a $200 headset. I still have them but I think I might return them.
