Astro A20x. It has a fantastic microphone, it’s fully compatible with Xbox, it has a light clamping-force so it’s good for glasses-users, and it’s wireless with both 2.4ghz and Bluetooth but unfortunately not simultaneously. Retails under $200. https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/shop/p/astro-a20-x
I had won a new pair of the new a50x last year and while I did like them their are not something that I would have spent or thought were worth the price of them. I eventually sold them cause they were too bulky with the light speed base to really work with my tv stand. Plus at the time I had a PlayStation but I sold that as well and just have my Xbox so the switching wasn’t necessary. I used my old wired for a while but recently bought the a20x which isn’t really Astro it’s basically g522 rebranded with some extra features being able to connect on Xbox and any platform. It’s half the price of the a50x and I found it way more comfortable for me with a bigger head, also the tiny switcher is a lot better for space than the big dock base. I had a $50 gift card for Amazon and a $20 promo as well so I got it even cheaper and really happy with it. Only thing I miss is the simultaneous Bluetooth, but as far a Xbox the only options were either too expensive, didn’t fit to my liking, or not fully as compatible with Xbox needing a pc to do a lot of things which I don’t have at the movement.
I got the logitech a20x which is not pictured but in the same price range. Love them so far.
I have had a 2023 Razer Blackshark V2 pro for almost two years. Great listening sound, PHENOMENAL recording sound. The biggest problem is that the construction is garbage. Already RMA’d the original, and the second set broke the same way, so I gave up. I read that the 2025 V3 has a WORSE microphone than the V2, and same bad construction, so I avoided it. I just bought a Logitech G Astro A20 X Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC with 2-System PLAYSYNC Audio, Bluetooth, LIGHTSYNC RGB, and 48 kHz Boom Mic - Black and the sound is also awesome. My podcast mic is only marginally better. Although the Logitech dongle does work in Linux, I paired with Bluetooth instead.
I've had numerous pairs of Astros A30, A40, and A50 headsets while competing in Halo & Gears of War. If you're going the wired route, some great bang for your buck can be found in Sennheisers & EPOS headsets. The PC38X (get the one from Drop) is fantastic, though its microphone can't be removed. The EPOS H6Pro (open or closed back) is more or less the same, but it's mic can be removed. Both are solid. But my current jam for a wireless headset is the Logitech G522 or the similarly renamed Astro A20 X headset. It's very light weight, incredibly comfy, has great battery life, a wonderful microphone, and can pair via Bluetooth or Lightspeed (via an included dongle). I use it for work, grinding ranked in The Finals, and pair it with my Steam Deck. There's a ton of range on its receiver, as I can easily walk all over my house with it. And its mic can also be removed if I want to use a dedicated boom mic, like an Elgato Wave 3, when at my desk. But honestly its mic quality is so good, I haven't for several weeks now. As I understand it, the key different with the Astro branded headset (Logitech owns Astro) is it comes with an extra dongle that allows for more connectivity to consoles like the PS5, etc. I'm not a big fan of RGB on my devices, but thanks to their G Hub app, I can easily turn that feature off. Overall, really nice headset. I ended up liking it so much, I ordered a second.
I’ve been using Astro A20s for a while now and they’re easily the best pair I’ve ever owned.
Astro a20s have been decent for me but I think it’s only worth it if you can find it for around $100
My astro 20s survived like 6-7 years and there still alive and kicking
I can only speak to my experiences. I’ve tried the pulse 3d, which I liked until they broke, then Astro A20s, which were the most comfortable, but the sound wasn’t much better than the pulse 3d. And these arctis 7s sound unreal compared to the two. I’m no audio expert - just my personal experience.
Astro A20’s are good
