My friends kept saying I had mic issues. I bought these back in December and forgot I had the Best Buy plus return period. I returned them and got the rog delta 2 mic. It has a bigger 10mm wide band mic over the logitechs 6mm They both have 50mm drivers and I think the Logitech sounds about or a little better but the rog delta has Bluetooth and 2.4 ghz mode & I’m able to connect my phone and pc simultaneously. I also use them for work now and I think there the best gaming mic I’ve ever had so far. Not needing a dongle is a big plus for me tbr. I also use them for work and the mic sounds nice and clear.
Hi guys, I recently replaced my old HyperX Flight with the Asus Delta 2, but I'm not very happy. They have almost everything I wanted: \- LED light on the microphone for mute \- Simultaneous PC/iPhone connection \- Quality microphone \- Long battery life But there are some flaws: \- They're uncomfortable on top of my head, I can feel them pressing down \- The EQ isn't adjustable on my smartphone, so if you're connected via Bluetooth, your music will sound flat \- Sidetone still works even if the microphone is muted \- Chat/game adjustment is missing Since I got them on Black Friday, I paid about €150 for them. The alternatives I was considering are: \- Razer Blackshark V3 \- Steelseries Nova 7 The only thing is, the Razer doesn't have the LED light on the microphone, and the Steelseries has a terrible microphone. These are things I could do without, but I'd like to know if it makes sense to switch. Ps: I started using Steelseries Sonar for the Delta 2 EQ because Armory really sucks
I've been using ROG DELTA II for 10 months or so now, and I'm loving it. I'm no audiophile, but I think it sounds great, and the microphone is outstanding, especially with a tiny bit of tweaking. There's also dual flow audio, so simultaneous 2.4gHz audio and Bluetooth audio, which I find super handy. And sidetone is top tier level once you upgrade the firmware. Battery lasts for 120-140 hours with no RGB. Check out the review from Gadgetrytech. He's very thorough. https://youtu.be/hI3Qi9zED6o?is=_ujU3ewwiHq6C4oZ If ANC isn't an important feature for you, I truly think this is the best overall headset on the market right now.
They hurt my ears so I returned them but the sound was good. I ended up with Delta 2 that felt much more comfy and the sound was on par
I'll put the rog delta 2 on the mix I've been using mine for some days and I love it for music and gaming
First off, I'll admit that my title is a bit misleading but truthful, and so I'll immediately tell you what it is; the "**Corsair Void RGB Elite**". You might be thinking "*What? The $70 headset that came out in October 2019?*" Yes, that headset. If you value comfort, sound quality, mic quality, and quality feeling materials, this is the headset for you. It completely blows the competition away, all the way up into the $200-$300 price bracket. This headset is the 2nd best headset I've ever had, only coming after the now unavailable "**Corsair Void Pro"** released in August 2017. The pro had better quality earpad foam which made it unimaginably comfortable. When I got my *Void Elite* to replace my worn-into-the-ground *Void Pro* three years ago, I immediately noticed the downgrade in earpad quality, but having compared them to the current market, I now see they are still miles above everything else available, and for a fraction of the price. Just today I've purchased 3 more pairs of the Corsair Void RGB Elite so I know I will have a decent headset for the next 10 years at least, as the quality of all others continues to degrade. I want to make it clear I am **NOT** talking about the "Corsair Void Wireless V2". *The V2 is objectively one of the* *worst headset I have ever used*. The rest of this post will be a rant about how absolutely shite the rest of modern gaming headsets are and me bashing some bad ones I bought. Just this month I read people's reviews and suggestions on Reddit, Amazon, and YouTube and naively purchased the "**ASUS Rog Delta II**" ($208) then the "**Logitech G Pro X**" ($180) and then the "**Corsair Void Wireless V2**" ($140). All were in their own way, horrible quality and insanely overpriced. With the Logitech's technically being the best as long as you don't plan on using your mic. **ASUS Rog Delta II**: Complete garbage. My roommate and sister have ASUS Rog Laptops and I have a Rog motherboard and ASUS graphics card, so I had high hopes for these. SHITE. Seriously, I'm not an audiophile that complains about sound quality constantly. I use Airpods when I'm out-and-about and think they sound just fine, so believe me when I say the Rog Delta II sound quality is SO bad that it sounds like your listening to a speaker in a different room. Yes I downloaded all the drivers in the Armory Crate app. Yes I checked the connection and Hz in system sound settings. I did it all and I promise there was nothing wrong. They are just bad. I also got in a discord call and apparently the mic sounded like I was talking through a "red SOLO cup". RETURNED. **Logitech G Pro X**: Arguably the best of the bunch, pretty quality feeling, comfortable enough, good sound quality, but the mic... My biggest gripe is that if you have sidetone on and talk in anything more than a whisper, it gets overloaded and distorts the sound back into your ear super loud. Its extremely annoying. On top of that you don't get any sidetone if you're not currently using an application that is using the mic. I like having my sidetone always on, but with these if I'm not in a discord call, no sidetone. And finally, it's a detachable aux-cord mic which isn't a deal-breaker for me but is annoying and makes them sound worse in my opinion. RETURNED. **Corsair Void Wireless V2:** Oh my god, these are the worst of the whole bunch. I don't even know where to begin. They're supposed to be the next evolution of the Void Elite but are infinitely cheaper feeling and worse in every way, yet twice the price. I'll just make a list comparing them to the Void Elites. (*which, if you actually read this whole thing, will know are the already inferior version of the Void Pros*) \-Earpad foam quality: Worse \-Metal frame? Nope, Plastic \-Earpad Depth: Half as deep (*so your ears press against the hard inner plastic speaker*) \-Mic Quality: Poop. \-Sidetone: Sounds like your underwater, AND HAS A DELAY LOL \-Price: $140 (twice as much as Void RGB Elite) They don't even have the nice Corsair symbol lit up on the side. They are shit and it's sad to see Corsair go straight down the toilet. These headphones genuinely feel like they were bought at the Dollar Tree. I'm not just saying that because I'm upset. They genuinely feel like that. Buy a pair and try them out if you don't believe me haha. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. \*bow\* **tldr -** "Corsair Void Pro" are the best ever but are no longer available so their slightly inferior descendant the "Corsair Void RGB Elite" are the current best even though they're only $70 and 6 years old. You'll like them if you buy them.
Return them, they're on sale now for $159. should have waited a bit. They run great. If youre using the bluetooth on discord and 2.4gz for gaming. Make sure you set the Mic to 2.4ghz on discord or else youre get data interference running both audio and microphone on the bluetooth. Also the motherboard bluetooth is horrible. its not the headset. To mitigate this issue I had to purchase a Bluetooth dongle from Amazon. Avantalk C82 works great with it. The clarity, latency and distance. For a cheaper model you can get the Avantree DG60 works just as good. Honestly If youre not going to use the duel band 2.4gz and the bluetooth at the same time. Just get the Pelta. Save you a few bucks.
I wanted the maxwells but no anc or simultaneous bluetooth killed it for me. Plus their heavy as hell over 550 grams. For them to not have simultaneous bluetooth in this market when everyone else does is wild. They should have figured that out before releasing their v2s. In case you're not familiar, simultaneous bluetooth allows you take calls on the headset while gaming or use the bluetooth to be on discord calls while still having game audio in both scenarios. I ended up with the rog delta 2's. Only 325 grams, has all the features I want and actually sound pretty great. Im sure the maxwells sound slightly better but im not willing to drop that bluetooth.
Just because you personally don't use features doesn't mean their not a massive concern for others. I also have a studio headphone setup (denon ah-d7200s w a Fiio dac amp) so I know what great sound sounds like. You have a point with the gaming headset vs studio headphone debate. For me if I really need to nerd out on sound ill get on the pc. For casual living room gaming on console, I like the ability to take a call from mom, join my buddies on discord, or listen to a YouTube video while also having game sound.
The fact you said the rogs don't do anything better despite acknowledging the maxwells flaws has me a little baffled. You know one thing the rogs do better? Simultaneous bluetooth 🤣. The weight is also a massive difference at 320 grams vs 560 grams. The rogs are super comfortable and you barely notice them on your head with that low weight. I also could have afford either headset but I value my money and care about features so the on sale Rogs for $160 were a an easy choice at that price point. Why would I pay over x2 the price for a heavier set with less features? I'm sure they sound better but the rogs are very serviceable for my PS5 pro setup. I have a desktop setup w denon ah-d7200 cans and a dac amp if I really need to nerd out on audio anyway.
Personally, for me, I play console games with people who like to use discord on PC. Having simultaneous bluetooth allows me to talk to them and have game sound at the same time. Other use cases are taking a phone call while I'm playing a game, you still get game audio and you get the call. Lastly I'd like to watch youtube guides while playing games sometimes. And I can hear the guide while hearing the game. Losing all of that for me wasn't worth it. I ended up settling for the ROG delta 2s which are incredibly lightweight at 325 grams (vs 500+ grams for the maxwells). The Deltas are pretty comfortable too honestly barely notice them on.
100%. I had them in the cart today and was honestly about to check out then I thought I should compare them to my current headphones feature set and see if there's anything I would miss. It turns out my turtle beach stealth gen2 from a few years back, has simultaneous bluetooth which I use ALOT. Ended up going with the asus delta rog delta 2s on sale for 150 for the upgrade. Those also only weigh 320 grams as well. I really wanted these maxwells because i'm a sound nut but i can't justify taking away a feature + the added weight. I feel like these guys fumbled the bag when they could have took over the market. Just wait until you figure out simultaneous bluetooth before you put out the new version 🫤
