I can share some insight on choosing the nova over the maxwell. I did not choose the Elite, but the pro. In fact, when I purchased my pro, I did not know the elite existed. But at the 600 price tag it would not have made a difference.  The reason I returned my maxwell is simple: weight and bulk. They're huge and heavy. I have chronic lower back issues that my mid and upper back compensate for.  The maxwells did sound incredible, but they were so heavy they would make me very sore after an extended gaming session. Also, they caused a hotspot right at the midpoint of the leather strap on the top of my skull. They are also very bulky to consider for a mixed use that's 80% gaming at home-20% travelling for work, where I don't use them for gaming but listening to music and seminars for work. So I chose the nova pro for the much lower weight, and honestly didn't lose much that's noticeable in terms of quality. The comfort is night and day, I could wear those in any context. I'm not an audiophile and I can't tell the difference most of the time. Also, my previous headset was the asus rog strix go, which was average at best.  Shave 200g from the maxwells and I would have kept them gladly.
