I have the HS80 wired, and it's great, I just hate the wire, so I tried the MAX for a few days and returned it. It was amazing being able to get snacks without taking it off or laying in bed without needing to change headphones, but the sideline sucked on it.

Logitech is ass, all the same cheap shitty plastic. The HS80 RGB is lasting me quite well, though I baby it and put it on a padded surface when I'm done. Stay away from any "enthusiast" or gaming grade brand in general, stick to professional hardware if you're serious about sound/ build quality.

I didn't call Corsair professional hardware, it's obviously a gaming brand, I'm just saying Logitech has gone down the gutter hard too the last few years... when I think professional hardware I think brands like Sennheiser, AKG, BeyerDynamic. A set of quality headphones on a DAC And a dedicated condenser/ midrange shotgun mic. Which I do have, I just don't have a good desk to set it up on atm.

I have the HS80 RGB (not max). I love them now but didn’t at first. I purchased them specifically because they were advertised as having decent sidetone. What I discovered is that I had to turn my game volumes down and the main headphone volume up. At around 40% sidetone comes alive and works great. Love the rich bass with Atmos as well.

The Corsair hs80s in 12th place is quite a surprise. My earpads failed after a year and the replacements are easy to replace but still

I have the corsair hs80 and it frequently loses connection and will randomly refuse to reconnect. I've moved the USB dongle multiple times including using an extender to get it closer to me, still has issues. Not to mention the usbc charging port is so low quality it won't hold the cable in. Never left a review but definitely don't buy a corsair hs80..seriously

I have the Corsair hs80s, they are just ok, the sound quality is good for both mic and listening. I honestly mainly use them for work meetings. They are uncomfortable for long periods of time however I can only wear them for about 90 minutes at a time.

I have these and I really love the sound quality and the mic. But....they've cracked in half 2x on me. Just putting them on my head. The plastic is really cheap.

The only downside of the hs80 in my opinion is the range. Many people have to buy an external microphone to have a microphone as good as this headset. What Corsair has achieved in this headset is fuckin incredible.

My sister had one and let me use it when she was being sponsored by Logitech, and I really loved them. I play War Thunder a lot and the surround sound on it just worked really well for me. Much more than the Logitech G733 I have been using. Unfortunately the charging port just broke and came off her HS80. She also really liked it and now has gotten an Logitech G PRO X 2. I just ordered the HS80 Max for myself on prime days on amazon (as the G733 elastic band is loose and it hurts my head) should arrive tomorrow :)

I came here to see if someone else was having this problem. Corsair support sent me a new headset and it had the same issue so it's not a hardware issue. For me, whenever there is a lull in sound in a game (goes quiet), the headphones",switch off" until their is sound again, but there is a delay in that sound so you miss the first second or so. Sounds minor, but it's quite frustrating when a cut scene starts and you miss the first word .. but happens all the time, and Corsair has no idea why. It could be a windows issue, but then why does it happen only with this headset. Who knows

At the time I did my research, i was looking for 2.4ghz wireless, high mic quality, comfort and good range. The Razer blackshark V2 pro 2023 turned out to be the winner for me, the hs80 were falling a bit short, and the razer ones turned out to be amazing tbh. I think the only negative I can think of is the pads getting a bit hot, and if you skip on the software, it's amazing really.

I have the Original HS80 replaced the stock ear pieces with something better and best headset I've used also. https://preview.redd.it/lz9wnerrktie1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93219dd2f3af3781ffd74d232054fd14af5c8f76

Have you tried putting the heads strap higher up, so that the headset sits a little lower? I noticed that I can have them at different heights and still fit me Pretty well. My strap is almost touching the head band that hold the headphones together. Otherwise maybe try to stretch them like have them around a pillow or something that is a little wider than your own head. Like walking in your shoes.

Every corsair headset I've owned has sounded great, but I found out the mic quality was so bad that I sounded like i was talking through a tin can on a string. I'll stick with my logitech headset. Love my corsair keyboard though. Wish icue would stop self destructing every few months

Eh, I used to feel this way but now I just want to be able to put on a headset with a mic and call it a day. Don’t get me wrong gaming headsets stupid expensive but I like the convenience. I have a pair of hd6xx and a Samson Q2U mic but now I just reach for my corsair hs80

My Razor Nari headset is still going strong for 4 years now. I know it’s not the best, but I returned some equivalents like the steel series arctis and corsair hs80. They just sounded tinny.
