If those are your only option I'd take either the Cloud Alpha or G Pro X, probably the Alpha as it is really comfortable. As other's have said though, none of these are particularly good. Unlike what others have said, there are good gamer brand headsets out there like the LucidSound LS50x, Logitech G Pro X 2, Astro A50, a few EPOS models. They're just generally overpriced. Like the G Pro X 2 is a really good $100 headphone with a $20 mic selling for $250. The LucidSounds are a bit pricy new but very cheap on the used market. The LS50x or the little brother LS35x can be found used for under $60 and $40 respectively and will beat anything on your list. Sennheiser Game One's can be found for under $60 and are another step higher, they're the headset version of the HD 598. In general, you can almost always buy a new headphone of equal or better quality + a desktop mic for a lot less money than a new headset. The main exception is the Audeze Maxwell which is frankly way better than standalone wireless headphones at its price. The PC38x is also competitively priced on sale, it's right between the HD 599 and HD 560S in quality.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Which one of these Gaming Headphone is the best? ->They do on Amazon, but they're an EPOS | Sennheiser collab now and are just as much as the PC38X (but better imo). I think other than the re-branding on the headset that they are mostly the same as the OG Game One.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->These are goated. I love my pair. I've bought and sold them a few times (even gifted one to someone) but I've compared them to the PC38X and preferred them over them every time. PC37X were great too since they were just the Drop re-brand of these. I have a pair that I use for gaming w/ a mic and use an Arya & HE1000 Stealth for just casual gaming/music listening. I have an H6 Pro Open and the sound quality and comfort isn't anywhere close to the Game One. I don't think they'll ever make a better open back gaming headset.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->Since you want one with a microphone, the best I used under 200 Sgd was a Sennheiser Epos Game One. PC38x might be a better option and you should be able to get it under 200 on a regular sale.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • What is The Best Gaming Headphones in 2025? ->Game One was made when Sennheiser owned them. There is a huge quality difference, and it does not require a software. I am not suggesting other EPOS headsets.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • What is The Best Gaming Headphones in 2025? ->Why do these companies constantly use these crappy ear cups? If it's a premium headset, use velour. It's INCREDIBLY comfortable and seals in the sound great. I want a wireless set that can replace my legendary wired Sennheiser Game Ones.
r/FractalDesign • Fractal Design Scape - First Impressions ->11 years is a long time in today’s marketing-driven headphone and gaming headset market. When I say “gaming headset” I specifically mean one with a mic attached — nothing else. I’ve used the original **Sennheiser Game One** (2014) for 11 years now, and they’ve held up incredibly well. I play a lot — sometimes 6-7 hours at a time — and sort of semi-competitively back in the day. I’ve used them on Xbox with an Astro MixAmp Pro TR (which I kept after being tricked into buying an Astro headset many years ago). #TL;DR Comfort, durability, and sound quality have been unmatched for me for 11 years. I’d recommend the Sennheiser Game One to anyone — even second-hand in decent condition. They’re still better than the hyped **Epos PC38x** and the more modern **Epos H6PRO**. I’ve bought countless other headsets and headphones — but always end up coming back to the Game One. **And here’s why…** #DURABILITY I don’t baby my gear. I don’t keep it in a case. I toss it around. I’ve even slept with them on when earbuds weren’t available. Result: almost no wear and tear. The headband padding finally started coming loose after 10 years (a little glue fixed it). Probably my fault for not cleaning them well from dust and dirt over the years. Cable and ear pads? Still original. Never needed replacement. The fabric sleeve at the plug end of the cable has started to fray a bit (the actual rubber cable underneath is fine), but I’ve already bought a backup cable (that works fine) on eBay just in case. This one: https://www.amazon.com/ABLET-Replacement-Compatible-Sennheiser-Headsets/dp/B0CZST2KMH #COMFORT Very good, from my experience of having them on for 6-7 hours straight.. Maybe they feel slightly less comfortable than when they were brand new — but it could also just be my imagination. I still wear them for hours. The ear pads have probably flattened a little, because I can sometimes feel the inner driver housing or grill or whatever it is sitting close to my ears. Nothing major, though. And the clamp is still strong. #SOUND Again, I’ve tried so many other gaming headsets — from more expensive brands like **Audio Technica** to overpriced (and sometimes gimmicky) stuff from **Astro**, **Turtle Beach**, **Razer**, **SteelSeries**, etc. Then there’s the very hyped **Epos PC38x** (supposed to be basically the same as the Game One — hint: they’re not), and most recently the **Epos H6PRO Open** (back in the box after 10 minutes)… I keep looking, but nothing feels as good. Especially for sound-dependent multiplayer games like **Battlefield**. I can’t relax if the sound feels “off.” It honestly bugs me way too much and it doesn’t go well with my autism. Which is why I keep going back to the Game One. Watching a movie with bad sound is unbearable, right? Same thing here. These just sound alive. Fuller, warmer, wider. Like you’re hearing exactly what the game’s sound engineer wanted you to hear — uncompressed, with zero compromises. I’ve had some issues in **Black Ops 6** where spatial awareness felt worse, but that’s clearly a game issue, not the headset. No issues in any Battlefield games whatsoever and I’ve played them all. #The only alternative I’d recommend As I’ve made clear, I’ve tried many others, but the only other gaming headset I’d actually recommend is: **HyperX Cloud II** I bought the wired model around 2016, and honestly, I liked them a lot. Comfort, build, sound — all solid. But they’re not open-back, which I prefer for FPS games, so I gave them to my younger brother. Still, nothing has ever come close to making me as happy with the sound as the Sennheiser Game One. That’s my completely subjective opinion, of course — but the fact that I’m still taking the time to praise this headset 11 years later is probably a good indicator.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->I've had it for a while - it's very good but the mic is super quiet especially if used without a USB I've had to bass boost it which gets annoying. The general quality of mic is actually good. Certainly worse than you could get from a decent separate mic but good for a headset.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->Connected it using a kinda combination cable where it goes from the two separate audio/mic jacks to a singular jack that i plug into my laptop but I think it was fiddly when i tried doing it via USB.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->I have the Game One and love it but it's starting to fall apart. Wanted to check if they released an updated version, turns out they don't make consumer products at all anymore to "focus on enterprise solutions" instead. Ugh.
r/HuntShowdown • What are some good headphones for hunt? (with a microphone) ->My set from 2017 is still going strong. They look and feel brand new to this day. Mine are paired with the Mixamp Pro. I stumbled upon this thread while researching to see if there are any better options that are actually worth upgrading to 8 years later and I think I can comfortably say at this point I'm good for another several years at least.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->Facts, my go to is always sennheiser, specifically the game 1 headset
r/razer • Stay away from Blackshark Razer wireless headsets ->Curious your thoughts on the comparison between the two. I’m a big fan of sennheiser open backs, and have been running the Game Ones since 2017, but the cable kept breaking and I wanted something wireless. Have recently tried the Maxwells out, but not blown away by them yet, could be an eq issue dunno.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->Yo just chimming in, i've had a Game One for about 8 years at this point, and i got the same experience as you, nothing comes close, and i'm looking to buy a second one in case it fails me in the next few years, i'm in europe and it's impossible to find a new one in stock, the only options are Ebay, is it imported from anywhere or still in stock anywhere?
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->I got a basically new pair of Game Ones as “used” last year because they didn’t have a cable. Grabbed a cable and gave them to my kid who uses them for Fortnite and loves them. I’ve tried them, and love them as well. Also have tried the PC38X, and they’re fantastic as well, but I ended up going with the EPOS H6Pro Open. They’re so comfy, and sound so good. Either those or my HD6XX with a Modmic. If you love your Game Ones, treat yourself to a new set of the Dekoni Audio pads for them. They’re comfy and maintain the sound signature.
r/sennheiser • I’ve used Sennheiser Game One for 11 years. Here’s my honest review. ->Sennheiser Game One if you like open headset
r/buildapc • Best gaming headsets? ->EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE --- NON-noise cancelling, you can literally hear everything in-game and when your parents are calling you for dinner. $120. absolutely AMAZING sound quality. Razer Blackshark V2 --- noise canceling so good, you won't be able to hear your parents arguing in the background. $70. also has absolutely amazing sound quality.
r/xbox • Best Wired Headphones for Xbox? ->For a Logitech headset look at the: - G435 - G535 - G Pro X wired or wireless (version 1, not 2) Other gaming headsets include: - JBL Quantum One - Sennheiser Game One - HyperX Cloud III - Razer Barracuda - SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X or 7X - Turtle Beach Atlas Air. The tradeoff on all of this are the same: buggy apps, poor audio/mic quality and/or poor longevity. If you want a better experience I suggest getting a USB mic like the JLab Talk and pair it with audiophile headphones like: - Philips Fidelio X2HR - Sennheiser HD 560S - Philips SHP9500 - Sennheiser HD 599
r/HeadphoneAdvice • What is The Best Gaming Headphones in 2025? ->I actually havent tried the surround on my Pro X in the past year, so I’ll give it a go tomorrow again! I have had Astro A50, Sennheiser Game One and an Audeze-headset (wireless) that was $400 around 6 years ago. Absolutely hated Audeze, mostly because it was BT only (no dongle), so couldnt utilize the best quality of the mic and sound at the same time. Sennheiser was (back then at least) open headset, and I hate that - since I like to close out other sounds while gaming. Astro was actually superb, but horrible surround - but again, this was years ago (and before they was bought by Logitech).
r/LogitechG • 5 years later. Decided for the g pro x. What is happening? ->[https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-506080-Acoustic-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00JQDOALC/](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-506080-Acoustic-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00JQDOALC/) These, or similar type (the model slightly changes over time) have been my go to headset for ages. Mic's clear, open ear lets you hear everything as well as the game clear as day and the earcups are a velvety material so they don't make you sweat. Not even wanted to look at others since I got them to use. Just one tip, move the mic up to mute but move it at the earcup bit not the end of the mic or it will snap/break eventually, but thats just wear and tear - this prolongs it quite a bit.
r/EscapefromTarkov • [Discussion] Best IRL headset with a mic for Tarkov ->Just a note on the directional audio - I don't think any headset will be 'perfect' for Tarkov, for example you can have sound directly behind or infront and it sounds like could come from either, or if you spin around quickly it can skew the direction you hear - but thats the game not the headset.
r/EscapefromTarkov • [Discussion] Best IRL headset with a mic for Tarkov ->I would say hyperx cloud 3 wireless for wireless and austrian audio pg16 for wired. My all time favorite is the sennheiser game one bcoz at that time I couldnt afford pc38x. It is very durable, after 5 yrs of gaming it still in good condition.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best cheap gaming headset – Hidden gems or avoid budget options? ->$50 is pretty much what I would consider the bottom for anything good (9500 $50-$70, Drop’s version of the KSC75 because it comes with a mic—usually $30 with shipping, or a used/refurbished 560s for $100-$150). The old Game One from Sennheiser can usually be found in the $30 range and that’s fairly good for the price. Anything that is specifically called a “gaming headset” usually sucks ass.
r/headphones • Are the SHP9500 really terrible headphones? ->As someone who’s currently in the market for a good headset reading tons of reviews and feedback: Epos are trash and it’s a crime to put a Sennheiser logo on them.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Why are gaming headphones not as good? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
