Tbe Pulse Elite is known to be quite bad at its price point. I've gotten the chance to try a lot of new headsets recently, and these are my current recommendations in the $200-$300 range: - HyoerXcloud Alpha 2 - $300 - Razer Blackshark V3 Pro - $250 - Logitech G735 - $260 - SteelSeries Arctic Nova 7P - (budget) - $200, which you have on your screenshot already, but only recommended if on a strict budget. There's a few more I can suggest in that $150-$200 range if you'd like as well. All the ones I listed, I did so because they are the best at something at their price point. Things like mic clarity, battery life, sound fidelity, lag etc So if you tell me what's most important to you in a new wireless headset, I can narrow it down further for you.
The Nova pro is honestly junk. Maxwell sounds amazing but lacks some of the features. Fractal Scape is great. So is the cloud III S wireless. (not the III wireless). The cloud alpha 2 wireless also is promising.
Thats kind of hard to say. Because imo yet its worth it as its tuned so much better. An its wireless which is convenient, but the mic is worse.
The Alpha 2 wireless are pretty buggy right now so i cant recommend them. An judging by how the price is dropping they may not be fixing them. Fixed they may be better. But unfixed they are similar.
The software is a mess and its buggy. So I can't recommend them right now. But sound wise when working as it should it wasn't really any better. The driver seems to be the same if not super similar and the housing only seems a touch different. But overall neither sound better than the other (tho that could change with updates).

Get the HyperX Alpha 2 it's on sale and you can do an extra 20% coupon on it through HyperX Canada. It's a steal for the features.
If you scroll to the bottom left of the page there is a triangle to sign up to the hyper X mailing list to get 20% off. I'll try to see if there is a new coupon but CYBER20 doesn't seem to work anymore
Just got my HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless 2 and can confirm, like some have said that the sound is a little base heavy/muffled. which I am not very comforted by... I came from a pair of Cloud IIs which were falling apart, and their sound is super crisp and clear, even today. I hope this will get addressed in an update. I also think the volume on wireless(even with their DAC) is very disappointing, very very low... When i plug these in to a real DAC(built in to my motherboard) to operate them passively, the volume goes 3x that of either Bluetooth or the wireless function. Also just plugging it in to any device with a 3.5mm jack sounded louder by a mile. I suspect this is a battery thing? This particularly sucks because I love watching movies from my NVidia Shield as my cinema when I want to be quiet. The sound was good, but I found the Shield sounded even quieter than the standard Bluetooth function. And when I mean quiet, if someone sat next to me and said something, I could hear them. I hope this will get addressed in an update as well.
I’ve owned the headset for a little over a month. And Ive been on the same search. My dog decided the best time to chew on chords for the first time would be the day after buying a brand new headset. So I’m stuck with these for now. Like you I need LOUD sidetone. Like one of the select few that when they say loud, they mean loud lol. When eating the mic with no other audio playing, the headset has ok/decent sidetone. Good audio quality of your voice and doesn’t sound “tinny.” However, it’s immediately drowned out with any other audio coming through the headset compared to my previous Astro A40TRs. Despite having a volume rocker specifically for side tone, it just doesn’t get loud enough to carry through any other audio playing which is unfortunate for how expensive this headset is. If your main concern is LOUD sidetone, I would not recommend these. The app has to be opened initially and for the headset profile to be clicked on before the headset audio can come through. Unless there’s a workaround that I’m not aware of. But that’s pretty darn annoying to have to do every single time I boot up my desktop. I’m sure it’ll change over time but nothings promised and that’s where it’s at now anyways. I don’t mind the audio or game/chat dongle that comes with it like some people do. But obviously that’s a personal preference to what your ears are used to. It is one of the comfiest headsets I’ve ever used. I tried 2 headsets before this. Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 and Astro A50x. The steelseries were by far the loudest but sidetone was very “tinny” and audio was absolutely terrible in comparison in what I was used to. The astros sounded amazing but again that’s subjective because I’d previously been using a pair of Astros and it’s what I’m used to. The side tone on the Astros was very low and “tinny” as well. I returned those purely because the side tone wasn’t loud enough. Everything else I loved about them. Honestly, the one silver lining in all this, is that after about six weeks, I’ve gotten used to low side tone. I can tell in a few months time it won’t even be something I think about when I purchase my next headset. But it was definitely uncomfortable at first. Good luck, it’s an annoying journey lol. No one out there seems to make great audio headphones with LOUD sidetone anymore. Hope you find a pair you’re happy with.
I've tried this Headset for around 2 weeks and returned it. In my Opinion this is a $100-$150 headset with an inflated price cause of the "hub". The Software was a mess at my time of testing, sidetone was not as desired ( Cloud 3 Wireless in my Opinion has perfect sidetone ) and comfort is nothing like HyperX usually does, the Headband is thinner then usual and they hae a weird morph around the head making them somewhat pircing to wear. The "Hub" is a funny toy if it works as desired but it does not add a lot of value. The Sound ouf of the box also lacks in comparison to HyperX other Headsets. If you want a good device that ticks a lot of boxes its the Cloud 3 "S" Wireless, sounds way better, is more comfortable and Sidetone works.
I don't know, but I bought Hyper X Alpha 2 back in 2018, they're still perfect condition, and I can hear the exact location of a pin dropping across the map.
Budget? - 300$ Country? - UAE Platform? - PC Motherboard if on pc (or other audio gear)? - ASUS B550 Requested Guide: - Wireless gaming Open back or closed back? - I only used closed back all my life so idk, but afaik wireless are only closed back anyways? Any other gear you own (if important, like headphones or headsets)? - I used a wired cloud alpha 2 before, it was great for me for playing counter strike, Im just looking for something wireless while still being able to differentiate footsteps locations
HyperX cloud alpha wireless. Love them but mic is quite shit to be honest. If mic is the only concern you can think of separate microphone. For some 30-40 bucks you can buy a really good one with arm included and use it instead of the headphones built-in
Where did you get the idea your headset is bad? I looked up "HyperX Cloud Alpha wireless" is a 2.4hz dongle headset. Which can only be good thing, it's not bluetooth.
