My HyperX Cloud Flight wireless headset has been solid since 2019, but I’ve been considering a new set because the padding is fading. The HyperX treated me well, so I’ll most likely get another pair from that brand. I trust my own experience over any online reviews. Maybe try out some that have a decent return policy until you find the right one? Edit: I’ve just learned HyperX was acquired by HP in 2021, so I’m going to assume quality has dropped since then.
If you can increase your budget to 8k, I would highly recommend the HyperX cloud Flight wireless. They use a 2.4g dongle so latency is almost nonexistent. Sound and mic the best in their class. You will find them open box on HyperX pk website.
Hyper x cloud flight wireless. Love mine so much. Had it for 4 years now.
Yeah, I was first deciding between the Bose QC Ultra and the Momentum 4. But after some research\*\*, I\*\* found that they only work with Bluetooth, which would be a pain for me because I mostly use headphones for gaming. Would you recommend a desk microphone to pair with the Maxwell or Fractal? I used to use a Cloud Flight before this Arctis Nova 7 and I really enjoyed that headset. It was very comfortable; the only thing I didn't like that much was the microphone. Do you know how the Cloud III compares to it?
I have been using my hyperx cloud flight gaming headset for 7 years now. Sound quality is great, I only have had to change the ear muffs out from being worn from usage. They are $70.
okay so i was in the same boat a few weeks ago and spent way too long on this. a few things that helped me narrow it down: first, battery specs on the box are almost always measured at low volume so mentally knock like 20-25% off whatever they advertise. second, the hyperx cloud flight s kept coming up constantly in every recent comparison i found and for good reason, its comfortable for long sessions and the battery holds up well in practice not just on paper. that said if you game on both pc and console the arctis nova 7 is probably more flexible because of the dual connection thing. the one question i couldnt find a clear answer on when i was researching: are you mostly stationary at a desk or do you move around a lot? because that actually matters for which wireless standard holds up better in real use
