"The pinpoint accuracy is insane. ... This was more noticeable on Valorant as it is a more sound dependent game. You won't miss anything with these. I started to watch out at angles I wouldn't watch with the others because some audio cue made me suspect a door and ... it was 100% right all the time. I could tell where they were with excellent accuracy, both horizontal and vertical."
"they're also extremely crystal clear probably because of the 53mm drivers. ... I could feel everything, even just reloading a gun, I could hear all those metal parts moving. This was not even noticeable in any of the other headsets."

"the Cloud II's microphone sounded the best, the clearer on every single audio device I've tested. ... I'm still recovering from that one to be honest. It was a surprise that went against everything I've seen on reviews so I'd like to really underline that one because most people thing the Cloud II microphone isn't good."
"Good mic"
"One thing I disagree. These are not just for FPS they are very generalist in my opinion. ... I tried games like God of War, Hogwarts Legacy, Ghost of Tsushima and other dramatic/cinematic videogames and once again I prefer the clarity of the Cloud II than the muddy bass of other headsets. Even Kratos voice sounds better on the Cloud II. It's almost intimidating. Same thing for Diablo IV voice acting also low voices that sound great on the Cloud II while other headsets just give you the low part of the voice making the "WOOOF" too low to have a clear sound."

"I have a Hyper X Cloud 2 and it seriously hurts my ears with extended use. Not my ear drums, but my ears themselves. I hate it so much."

"They sound like very high but trashy at the same time. ... I made the upgrade to ps5 and they are a mess. ... On Apex Legends I can't play like normally because of this. It's like a chaotic sound coming from everywhere. :("
Cloud 2 from that list but the JT1 performs better than the cloud 2 even while being a "music" headphone.
I have had SS and HyperX different products from these but i think they both had their advantages and disadvantages. ultimately i went the with SS and glad i did, the comfort of the headset is really what sells me on this brand and the audio for me i find it to be better than the hyper x. The SS is the wireless novas and the hyper x was the naruto edition clouds which now just serve as decoration in the crib.
Alpha came out after Cloud II iirc. I don't know if there's any meaningful improvements over Cloud II however. As of the latter; I've owned a Cloud II and it was built like a goddamn tank. Sound quality is decent and I've spent countless hours in tactical FPS titles with that bad boy. I'd highly recommend it.
Love my hyperX. Sound great and so comfortable
Yup. Its sooo good and for such a great price. I also love the detachable microphone.
I always recommend something from HyperX. The cloud 2 has a more fun sound, while the cloud 3's are more balanced. I also find the 3's to be hands down the best for comfort and their wireless varieties (especially the 3 S) being the best tuned out of the box without eq
for me its HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset i still have it after 3y and its still better then any other take a look [https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/\_c3YaWPnH](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c3YaWPnH)
I understand. When I switched from Cloud IIs to X2HRs, it sounded there was absolutely no bass because I was so used to the Cloud II’s warmer tuning. I liked the Cloud IIs significantly more until I got used to the new tuning. Simply reducing the loudness of higher frequencies can make things seem muffled, and reducing the loudness of lower frequencies can make things seem tinny. It’s all in comparison with what you’re used to. I don’t know if the difference you experienced is due to the “brain burn in time” or weird audio processing (sometimes the headphones come with “7.1 surround sound” emulation which ruins the audio balance), so that’s why I recommended that you drive them a little longer. Generally it’s recommended to turn all audio enhancements off (spatial audio, 7.1, windows sonic etc) if you want the best tracking, unless it’s built for the game (like Cryspatial is). You honestly don’t have much choice at your budget if you want a significant “upgrade” in tracking quality compared to the Krakens. The Cloud IIs are generally known as having decent sound quality but I’m not sure what changes they made with the IIIs.
that explains my audio issues, sadly support never told me this and now i am outside the window to return them.
If it helps your purchase, I bought the HyperX Cloud II in 2016, a year after it came out. I’ve used it nearly every day since - it’s flawless honestly. If you can get a Kingston version, definitely grab it. I cannot stress how well and sturdy they’ve held up for nearly a decade.
hyperx cloud ii, right now i have one of the corsair hs headphones. dont remember which but id say hearing is good
