Cloud 2 from that list but the JT1 performs better than the cloud 2 even while being a "music" headphone.

Just get HyperX. They are tuned for gaming and are awesome for music with a bit of equalizer tuning. I recently got the 7.1 version and they came with a year of Dolby DTS X for movies as a complimentary gift.

I have the 7p and it's a decent headset. In all honesty though, as much as Arctis Nova have a great reputation, they do feel quite plasticy and cheap to the touch. I'm really happy with the audio quality and battery life, but I previously had an older (I think 2nd gen) pair of HyperX Cloud which had a metal frame and felt MUCH more solid than anything Arctis produce, at a cheaper price point.

The fact that responses are so mixed with everyone's anecdotes of they either do break easily, or if you're careful then they won't break, kind of hints at yes, they are poor quality. Of course you should take care of your things, but accidents happen, and since there are so many people arguing here, there's obviously problems with their construction. I have old HyperX Clouds with the metal build that have taken an almighty amount of abuse with no problems except foam padding going crappy. I replaced them to go wireless and went for SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7p, and although I love the headset, the construction isn't a patch on the old Clouds, because it's just plastic, like the Sony ones OP has broken. They won't take nearly as much abuse.

I have had SS and HyperX different products from these but i think they both had their advantages and disadvantages. ultimately i went the with SS and glad i did, the comfort of the headset is really what sells me on this brand and the audio for me i find it to be better than the hyper x. The SS is the wireless novas and the hyper x was the naruto edition clouds which now just serve as decoration in the crib.

I've had the Hyper Cloud X. The plastic part holding the earphone to the base has broken 2x. The first time they reluctantly replaced the headphones after a month of arguing. The second time they wouldn't. They don't sell the little plastic piece so you have to find a 3d printer to pay for them to be made. Total waste and won't buy their product again.

Hyper X cloud headset. Had my originals for 6, almost 7 years. Replaced the ear cups twice. Only reason I moved on is I wanted wireless

Hyper X clouds are excellent for the money. I've had the same pair since 2019 and had zero issues.

Steel series is overrated and quality leaves something lacking. I prefer the hyper x cloud. They’re nice and comfy and sound is nice. PlayStation brand headsets are tight on my large head.

Pulse Elite is really good if no disconnect issue (buying an extension cable solved the problem for me - USB dongle overheats if plugged directly into console for some reason). I also tried cloud hyper X headset recently too and it’s not bad on sale price.
