got hyperx cloud 3 wired from rbtech for 14k ( a little out of budget) but its a v good one. They might have cloud 2 for cheaper
Alienware AW920H(Wireless) and HyperX Cloud III(Wired) for Gaming.
Why didn't you ask chat GPT, while doing the message ? /jk I have the cloud 3 wired. Happy with it, with custom eq / unbound dts & apo equalizer, no complaints on mic so far. I had Sennheiser game ones (5 years old) before that was better in most ways but they are open headsets and i could hear everything happening after moving in with another person. Heard good things about steel séries before grabbing the cloud 3's. Just personal preference I avoid logitech headsets, always had quality issues in the past.
HyperX Cloud III S Wireless would probably be my choice (make sure it's the S version, not the standard one which is a bit bass light). They sound good, have pretty good build quality, and are comfortable. The Audeze Maxwell 2 is a great choice for a higher-end product with better sound quality, but it exceeds your budget.
Getting a separate desk mic actually wouldn’t be much of a problem if you get the right type. A Unidirectional/Cardioid mic specifically picks up sound from one direction, generally the front, so if it’s pointed towards you then it’ll pick up his voice less. And then you can also decrease the sensitivity of the mic because if it’s too sensitive then it could possibly still pick his voice up, so turning that down would focus more on picking up the voice physically closer to it. But if you’re determined on getting a headset, since you also like the Cloud 2 then the Cloud 3’s microphone is substantially better by comparison. The version of the Cloud 3 with the best mic is the wired one, which you can get for less than $100. It also comes with a PC-extension cable if needed https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-wired-gaming-headset?variant=43656365408413
If your maximum budget is $100 then go for the HyperX Cloud 3 Wired. Given the build, comfort, audio, and microphone, you can’t do much better for the money. https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-wired-gaming-headset?variant=43656365408413
Not sure if you have ordered yet, I currently have a pair of wired cloud 3s, they are great, the mic is very good, only issue i had was the wire always got stuck under my chair wheel because of how long it was which eventually led the usbc being ripped out. Everyone i have spoken to has preferred the cloud 2 and the cloud 2 is used by a lot more fps streamers and pros, i am likely going to order the cloud 2s so i can give you my opinion if you still need.
I ordered the cloud 2 and I love it honestly, took a minute to get used to but the sound is better for valorant which is what i play, the back of the sound controls has a lcip so i can just clip it onto something else. Both are honestly great imo.
