I've personally found that the Waves NX virtual surround function works best for my ears. Theres a couple headsets that use Waves including the Audeze Mobius and HyperX Orbit S. Everyone's ears a little different and different HRTFs work better for some than others. I'd recommend watching a tutorial on installing HeSuVi. It's a program that will let's you try out a whole bunch of different virtual surround sound HRTFs.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best wireless 7.1 headphones that use Dolby Atmos (or anything that just makes games feel immersive) ->The Cloud Orbit S, but it isn't wireless and also costs as much as the Audeze Maxwells. (in fact the Cloud Orbit S is just a rebranded Audeze Mobius headset)
r/HeadphoneAdvice • In the looks for a good gaming headset ->I haven't really used a Steelseries, I've heard good thing about them but I don't use one. HyperX does sometimes do rebrands of existing headphones, like the Cloud 2 is a Takstar Pro 80 (very similar to the Beyernamic DT770 Pro) with a microphone and the Cloud Orbit is basically an Audeze Mobius without Bluetooth (the Orbit S also removes the head tracking) for less money. The Alpha and Cloud 3 are their own designs and generally also have pretty good sound quality without being expensive.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Why are gaming headphones not as good? ->Mr.caboose! Quick question, I recently bought an Audeze Maxwell for $300 on a private audio store deal. Is this a good deal or should I part out my life gr t divorce and return this thing. Also curious to your opinion on the headset. It kind of just sounds similar to my hyper orbit S except with way better build quality. The orbit S plastics all cracked and muffs all fell apart in a year
r/bapcsalescanada • [Headset] HyperX Cloud III S ($230 - $60 = $170) [Amazon] ->If you want my honest opinion, avoid "gaming headsets" in general. They are all woefully over priced and very bad in quality. I have a sennhieser 560S which didn't even cost 200$ and came to it from using a hyperX cloud orbit S (which was 350 USD) and the sennhiesser mops the floor with the hyperX headset in every single way except the fact that it lacks a mic. I've never looked back because the 560S is so good especially with sound direction, that it has improved my gameplay, but most notably it just sounds far better overall. A slight con of note is that this headset is so good that it can make musical artifacts kind of jump out at you. There is a specific rock track i listen too by an indie musician on youtube (i purchased the track on bandcamp and am playing the FLAK file for it) and there is one part where with "normal" (aka poor quality) headphones it sounds like a brief half second gap. With the 560S on a DAC though, i can actually hear the musician very lightly strum an off note and catch it quickly. It isn't detectable under most circumstances, but it really bugs me that i can hear his error and he shipped the track with it, knowingly or not. This is a good point on how ridiculously sensitive this headset is. Assuming no errors exist in the track though, it sounds like your actually at a live performance with how good the acoustics are. Admittedly, the 560S is wired and requires a DAC with a 6.35 jack, but there are other models in the same line which are wired that use the more common 3.5 jack and don't require a DAC or are wireless. I'm personally an audiophile, so having studio quality sound is important to me. It might not be as important to you, so ultimately it falls to you to make the decision to ignore this or not. Just keep in mind that you can get get a razor siren V3 mini for 60$, and then still grab quite a few moderate to high quality studio quality headsets for less than 200$, and you'll get sound quality better than most 300+ dollar "gaming headsets" and mic quality that will compete with professional streamers. If the purpose of this headset really is gaming, i highly suggest wired be considered unless being mobile is non-negotiable. Even if you must go with wired, you'll still be treated better by a wireless studio headset + stand alone mic, and for cheaper. sennhiesser specifically has the [ACCENTUM Plus Wireless](https://www.sennheiser-hearing.com/en-US/p/accentum-plus-wireless/clptn4hsgc3440bvtlfmu9xad/) and after you add in the cost of the mic, a siren V3 mini by razer, this comes in at roughly 40 USD less than most "high end" gaming headsets which generally sit around th 250-350 mark, factoring in about 10 dollars worth of shipping fees due to having to ship products from 2 separate companies. Another really important note is most headsets aimed at studios often also sell parts so for example, you can replace the headband and ear muffs instead of the whole thing outright. In some cases, these headsets even allow speaker replacements. You will not find molecularity or parts for sale for most "gaming" headsets. Also, special note, if you have bad sound pollution in your area DO NOT get open backed headsets. The 560S is an amazing headset, but it doesn't insulate sound at all. Open backed headsets have much better sound stage which helps a lot with simulating directional sound at the cost of lacking sound insulation. If this is a factor for you, then absolutely get a closed back headset.
r/computers • Which wireless gaming headset should I get ->HyperX "makes" some actually decent ones, of course they aren't as good as some of the better ones from AudioTechnica, Audeze (though Audeze mobius and HyperX cloud orbits are literally the same and quite good (but overpriced)), Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic, but they offer headphones that have a decent sound profile and a really good microphone (in comparison to other headsets ofc) in an acceptable price.
r/LogitechG • Logitech creates some really awesome gear, so why are the headsets seemingly so bad in comparison. ->Galaxy Buds 2 when I'm on the go but at home, I have a pair of HyperX wired gaming headphones.
r/SteamDeck • What headphones do you use? ->I have HyperX wired headphones and they fit just fine with the headset.
r/PSVR • PSVR2 what headphones do you use? ->Wired Hyperx, because EVERY BT buds are waking up my Deck randomly.
r/SteamDeck • What Earbuds do you use ->I like my wired hyperx also but recently got a steel series bluetooth been using that needed a new bluetooth headset since my turtle beach headset decided to crack on both sides after about a year
r/XboxSeriesXlS • What's a good headset that won't break the bank ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
