HyperX Cloud Stinger Core - Wireless Gaming Headset for PS5-PS4 for $70. It's wireless and has a swivel to mute feature. I'm assuming the PS5 is white, and so is the headset. Some people want them to match. I don't care personally but maybe your bf does. Wired headsets will have better sound than their wireless counterpart, but I hate playing with a wire.
i've tested a few in that price range. the [steel series arctis 1 wireless](https://featherab.com/shopit?search_keywords=steel+series+arctis+1+wireless) is solid - battery lasts forever and the connection is stable. [corsair hs70 pro](https://featherab.com/shopit?search_keywords=corsair+hs70+pro) sounds a bit better but battery is shorter. if you can stretch to $100, the [hyperx cloud stinger core wireless](https://featherab.com/shopit?search_keywords=hyperx+cloud+stinger+core+wireless) is what i use for gaming. all three have good mics and fit comfortably for a few hours. just avoid the super cheap no-name ones, they disconnect constantly.
for that budget and wanting bass plus surround, check the [Razer BlackShark V2 X](https://featherab.com/shopit?search_keywords=Razer+BlackShark+V2+X) - it's usually around $50 cad on amazon and has razer's surround sound software that actually works. [HyperX Cloud Stinger Core](https://featherab.com/shopit?search_keywords=HyperX+Cloud+Stinger+Core) is another one with solid bass for dayz footsteps. that flying around your head feeling is virtual surround and both do it well. your old pair probably had it enabled in software so just install the driver for whichever you grab. been using the razer one myself and explosions sound chunky enough.
How come no mention of CLOUD STINGER on your list? I bought these back in 2023: [https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08634653D?th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08634653D?th=1) I only pop them on when I am playing with friends, otherwise I just use my speakers. What would I benefit from if I upgrade? Mine are 7.1 and these were highly recommended back then.
They work fine? I used them when Online Zoom school was a thing. Maybe your Network or mic settings are set badly
These help tremendously, as I was looking at a few of these myself, so !thanks ! If I can add on, I bought a HyperX cloud stinger wireless before as my boyfriend's sounds pretty good - bought it from the same place, same price, etc etc - and no matter what I did it sounded absolutely abysmal, like I was stuck in a wind tunnel. Charging cord is also extremely short, so if you want to charge and use it you're a bit out of luck. I have Jbl quantum's currently and the sound is good, just one day suddenly the mic stopped working - if you can somehow avoid that happening, they're a good lower tier headset that I found worked pretty well. However they do have in headset controls but i haven't found a problem with them apart from the mic mute button just sometimes not muting.
I'm using hyperx cloudx stringer wireless. I think they goes for 60 bucks. Had them for a year or year and a half
