Lol. Same with hypercloud. Why are people getting downvoted for reccommending gear they themselves have a positive experience with? Used mine for over 15 years. Has not skipped a beat. Comfy. I like the sound. Boom cones off if you don’t need it. It’s been fantastic bang for the buck.

HyperX CloudX. I’ve been using the same pair for 2+ years, so when it was on sale recently I bought a spare. Very comfortable, I’ve worn it frequently for 2-5 hours consecutively. Feels higher quality than the Turtle Beaches I used to have + sturdier material.

I had 3 of these. They always break within 6 months.

The right earcup always fall off the hinge and the material on earpads starts deteriorating after 6 months of daily use. I used to like these headphones but not anymore because build quality is bad. I switched to Sennheiser 660s and a usb mic.

Hyper x. Are pretty decent, had mine for around 3 years, no sign of wear and tear, still crispy clean audio, they are wired. The included mic was ok, but I disconnected it as I have a blue yeti. Would recommend

I bought a HyperX wired and it felt pretty quality to me, is there something specific you were looking for? Personally idk that ive ever found something better than the Klipsch earbuds ive had for over a decade. The Razer BlackShark V3 is ridiculously light but has worked purrfectly with a fully wireless setup, no crosstalk. You might have read the posts in the Wiki community bookmark but if not there's 2 on headsets that might help.

That's why i mentioned the Razer Blackshark, but I couldve been clearer. I have my mouse, headset, keyboard, and controller all wireless connected to my pc. Granted they are all using the original dongles and some care is observed with plugging them too close together, they never interfere with each other or lag even after long sessions of use. Assuming your intention of "quality" is how cheaply made something feels, the BlackShark actually feels less quality than the HyperX as the BS is so light it feels like a toy. Where HyperX actually had weight to the headset and was about half the price. My advice would be just ask your favorite streamer what they use and buy that, there's already a bunch of great recommendations by others here.

r/buildapcFor PC Gaming, are gaming headsets really that bad and should be absolutely avoided?

If you're sticking to all in one headsets/gamer brand gear. Hyper X for sure (imo). Grab the nicest one they sell and be done with it. If you're willing to get wacky, theres always the DAC + Studio Headphones (DT990s or something) + Mic (Modmics and stuff exist for this). I went that route after years of gamer headsets and couldn't be happier. Not wireless anymore so if thats a deal breaker, stick with the gamer stuff unless you're ready to plonk down dumb money. The Hyper X stuff will do the job though for sure. :)
