If it’s only a good headset for overall gaming. Any top five or top 5 YouTube recommendations. But if you focus on footsteps for fps, it’s a hard time finding one. I got pulse 3d, turtle beach 600 gen 2, cloud x 3 and Logitech 300 family. The best one of these for footsteps was the turtle beach, but the microphone is garbage, it keeps getting any background noise, don’t know the gen 3 if they fixed that issue. I updated the firmware but is useless. The second best one of these four options for footsteps for me is the cloud X 3. But for overall gaming any one.
HyperX Cloud Pro HX-HSCL-SR. Everything sounds like straight dogshit after these
I second this ☝️ I'm on my 2nd pair, they're great.
I like the hyperx cloudx
HyperX CloudX. I’ve been using the same pair for 2+ years, so when it was on sale recently I bought a spare. Very comfortable, I’ve worn it frequently for 2-5 hours consecutively. Feels higher quality than the Turtle Beaches I used to have + sturdier material.
I am also a fan of my Cloud X. Lightweight, good battery, decent audio. Compared to the rocat I bought its fantasic.
I have a pair of Logitech astros now with a mix amp. But before when I was on more of a budget I bought the hyper cloud x and I don’t have any complaints
That's up to personal preference. I prefer the HyperX Cloud 2 because they have more presence. They have slightly larger drivers (The Alpha has 50mm drivers while the HyperX Cloud 2 has 53mm drivers). The Alpha also has it's frequency range too wide (13hz - 27.000hz) which most devs do not design their audio for. The Alpha may have arguably more quality due to the way it separates lows/mids/highs but Cloud 2 in terms of end user experience is way better and balanced IMO. Edit: Without that awful 7.1 cable of course, pure 3.5mm, and if you're on console go for HyperX Cloud X instead of Cloud 2. The Cloud X was designed for Xbox but works flawlessly on any console with a 3.5mm jack. The difference between the Cloud 2 and the Cloud X is nothing but the fact that the X is more sensible making them sound louder on a less powerful amp (like the one inside the Dualsense).
