They work fine? I used them when Online Zoom school was a thing. Maybe your Network or mic settings are set badly

Stinger 2 or the Logitech. Neither of these is really "good" but for less than ten bucks it's okay. And these are still better tuned than the other options here. Though at that price point you might want to try IEMs instead. Truthear Gate or Moondrop Chu 2 are both about 20 dollars and are far, far above any of these sound wise.

I just bought Hyper X Cloud stinger 2 for like £33 with delivery, I can let you know how they are once I’ve used them if you haven’t ordered any yet, can’t go wrong at that price unless you’re really looking for something to improve your gameplay. My opinion might be biased as I’ve been using an old set of Turtlebeach headphones for something like 8 years until they broke, and now using old Apple ones until they arrive, so they might seem better to me than they actually are lmao.

So, honestly they’re not some crazy good set of headphones, but definitely a lot clearer than what I’ve been using for years. Pretty comfortable and lightweight. Better/clearer bass on them is what I noticed was a big difference, but again, could be because my old ones were so bad. I couldn’t even play on them full volume because of the bass when shooting (I have tinnitus and not trying to fuck my ears up even more lol), but if you can I’d imagine they’d be even better for hearing footsteps etc. Not noise cancelling but better than my other headphones. My friend said the mic was fine but sounded a bit more like a walkie talkie than my old ones. Overall, worth £35 for the headphones + delivery 100%.

Honestly though it depends on your budget, I don’t care enough to spend an extra £60 for a £100 set of headphones, these are more than fine for siege I’d say. Maybe they won’t last very long and that’s why they’re such a low price, but they don’t feel too cheap, just lightweight.

All good, I’m not an expert by any means so sorry I can’t really give good feedback, all I can say for sure is I’m happy with them for £35, and felt like I could hear enemies well with them. Better than my teammates, because I was calling out for them based on sound quite a lot lmao. So they must be better than whatever they were using.

For something cheap, Acer Nitro K2 is decent at 3-3.5k. Great battery life & good mic, although audio quality is not great. Had wired HyperX Stinger before, that definitely had better audio quality. Still, its good for gaming. Sadly seem OOS now.

HyperX CloudX. I’ve been using the same pair for 2+ years, so when it was on sale recently I bought a spare. Very comfortable, I’ve worn it frequently for 2-5 hours consecutively. Feels higher quality than the Turtle Beaches I used to have + sturdier material.

I have had my HyperX Cloud X for months now. It's a great headphone. I think it cost me around $50.

I got the HyperX Cloud X for when I played Xbox one… 6 or 7 years later I’m still using it. Most comfortable leather earcups ever and they still look and feel new… still smell new too not to make it weird. Think I got it for about $80 but it’s half the price now.

Hyper x cloud. No need to install driver. Put the jack inside and you are done. Best gaming headset. I switched a lot of headset in 6 years and I’ve now returned to this. It’s my second pair

Another vote for the HyperX Cloud series. Good sound quality (for a non music aficionado like me) and actually amazing build quality compared to lots of expensive gamer headsets. No flimsy plastic but solid medal frame. My old HyperX lasted 8 years. Finally, consider going wireless. I resisted a long time but finally got the Cloud Alpha and it truly has 300 hours of battery life. I don’t need to charge it for months and I use it daily for multiple hours (also for work zoom calls so mic quality is actually good).

Maybe I am a bit late on this topic but from what I have heard, the HyperX Cloud series and Logitech Pros are quite good. Or am I wrong and those are not worth mentioning (I am really on the search for new headphones cause the padding on my Hyperx cloud mix are dying)

Love my hyper X headset. I recently purchased their gaming earbuds bc I can’t wear a headset for long, I have a scar on my head in the shape and size of a headset basically, and the earbuds are surprisingly awesome! Sure there isn’t a ton of low end but that’s expected. For $20 they’re worth it imo.

tl;dr: Hyper X headsets check the cheap and comfy boxes and have a mic attached to them, but I don’t think most headsets would be anywhere close to what you have now. Depending on what people are looking for in a headset. If someone is insistent on a headset instead of a dedicated headset instead of separate headphones and mic, then I usually steer them towards Sennheiser PC37x or PC38x for a flat sound and build quality. Hyper X for cost, comfort, and features. And Astro for a jack of all trades, master of none kinda headphone (Not really too familiar with their QC since they were acquired by Logitech though). None of these headsets sound exceptional, which is why most users try to steer people towards dedicated mic and headphones if they can. But headsets still have a place and some people just prefer them. The only gaming headset I’ve heard with good imaging is the Sennheiser PC37X and PC38X (also known as the EPOS Game Zero and Game One), but the 490 is still vastly superior in most ways. Imaging in headphones is hard. Whether we like it or not, headphones are stereo. So in the end, it entirely depends on the game engine and devs to determine whether or not they are going to emulate surround sound for headphone users. Some do, some do not. It’s a crapshoot. So most of the time, well imaging headphones are still only accurate on the stereo axis because games don’t simulate 360 audio. One more edit: Headsets that advertise 7.1 are using software emulation too. As I mentioned above, headphones only have stereo channels (L/R). I have NEVER heard an out of engine emulation that sounded good. They all sound bad (except ATMOS, but that’s a whole different can of worms that we won’t get into). Don’t use them.

I've had the Hyper Cloud X. The plastic part holding the earphone to the base has broken 2x. The first time they reluctantly replaced the headphones after a month of arguing. The second time they wouldn't. They don't sell the little plastic piece so you have to find a 3d printer to pay for them to be made. Total waste and won't buy their product again.
