I currently own four headphones: * **OneOdio Over Ear Headphones (₹2,000)** * **Sony MDR-ZX110A (₹700)** * **Soundcore Q20i (₹3,500)** * **JBL Quantum 100 (₹2,000)** Here’s my experience with each of them, broken down into key aspects: # Comfort * **OneOdio**: Comfortable enough for long use, though not exceptional (7/10). * **Soundcore Q20i**: Extremely comfortable; the best in this area (9/10). * **Sony MDR-ZX110A**: Just okay, but can feel tight after a while (6/10). * **JBL Quantum 100**: Terrible. The earpads barely feel like cushions (4/10). # Sound Quality * **OneOdio**: Balanced and clear for the price (7/10). * **Soundcore Q20i**: Decent, though not impressive for its price (6/10). * **Sony MDR-ZX110A**: Poor sound quality, especially with bass (4/10). * **JBL Quantum 100**: Mediocre at best; tweaking the EQ helps slightly (4.5/10, or 5/10 with adjustments). # Build Quality * **OneOdio**: Feels solid for its price, though not premium (6/10). * **Soundcore Q20i**: Excellent build, sturdy and well-made (9/10). * **Sony MDR-ZX110A**: Cheap plastic that feels flimsy (3/10). * **JBL Quantum 100**: Very disappointing; feels fragile and low-quality (3/10). # Mic Quality * **OneOdio**: Decent but nothing special (5/10). * **Soundcore Q20i**: Below average for voice calls (3/10). * **Sony MDR-ZX110A**: Surprisingly good for a budget headphone (6/10). * **JBL Quantum 100**: Excellent mic, the only highlight of this model (8/10). # Overall Verdict The **JBL Quantum 100** is not worth the ₹2,000 price tag unless you specifically need a good mic. The comfort, sound quality, and build are all subpar. For better overall value, the **OneOdio** is a great budget-friendly option, while the **Soundcore Q20i** stands out for comfort and build quality. I wouldn’t recommend the JBL Quantum 100 unless the microphone is your main priority.

I would not go for a off-brand one it'd be best to go for a Turtle Beach, PDP or JBL, I personally like the JBL Quantum 100X

idk if theyve changed something, but i was happy with mine. and ive owned alot more expensive headsets before. i was actually shocked how they were this cheap, bought them as a temporary replacement, but ended up not being temporary.

Fifine H9 is an example of a headset with USB, however there are more options than it may seem. If you want USB, then search for 7.1 headphones, because they come with a dongle (with surround virtualisation). They can cost more than headsets and heaphones without it though. You can get a regular pair with a jack and add a USB dongle like for example apple dongle or Jcally JM20. If you need a mic, then Jcally JM20pro has a mic input. Apple dongle has mic input as well. The difference between Jcally and apple is the power output, which is higher for Jcally. It can make the headphones louder and also build quality is better. Apple dongle is somewhat delicate. Apple limits the output on non-apple devices. These two small dongles have very high audio quality for both headphones and the mic. There are even less expensive dongles from aliexpress and there's a lot of them, but it's hard to make sure which has a working mic. The cheapest that I found is 'Essager External USB Sound Card' for $2 on AliE. Logitech makes very lightweight and comfy headphones (ex. G432 and G335 which are now discounted), although they're also delicate and they break easily. For lightness they're hard to beat though. Well maybe JBL Quantum 100X, which is now discounted for $19. Razer Kraken is also popular for comofrt. Eksa E900pro is also this kind of comfy but chintzy model, but they have detachable cable... Maybe something like Jeecoo J70 is better although they're also not the sturdiest. Fifine H9 is better made and still lightweight. However you can also buy a mic and headphones separately. There are inline boom mics available. The benefits are that you are getting replaceable cable with a mic, so if something breaks you can just swap that one cheap thing and not the entire headset. Headsets with both the mic and the cable detachable usually cost more, but maybe you can find one. For a microphone I'd pick oneodio inline boom mic. With some discounts on aliexpress you can find it sometimes for like $8. You can also get it together with Oneodio A71d headset. If you want a noise canceling mic, then go for V-moda boom pro X. Comfort is subjective and some headphones clamp your head strong when they're new, but they stretch over time. You can also help them stretch faster if they have metal headband. I'm just saying in case you get something that may squeeze you. We all have different heads and some headphones are made to accomodate many people and they have that initial clamp. The plasticky headphones that sit softly, get very loose over time and they fall off your head, so you may want some clamp and some metal in the headband, so that they hold on to your head. Now you can pick some headphones like Fifine H8, t.bone, ISK, DNA, or anything else with a jack. Later you can find some nice earpads for them. You can find some big ones made of velour or linen. Pleather is used for headphones to have more bass and isolate your from expternal noise, but it also makes your ears sweaty in the summer. That's why I think it's better to buy cheap headphones and invest in nice, plushy earpads. You can wash them, ideally every couple of months, and they'll serve you well for longer than pleather earpads, that fall apart after a year.

You should rather ask what is the best headset for myself. It depends what you want from the headset, is valorant the only game you play? Do you also watch something or hear Musik? What about the Mikrophon on the headset, does it need to be good or are you buying a stand alone one? And even if it's just for valorant, there is also a difference. Do you play for fun, for elo, as streamer or do you want to go pro? I use the JBL quantum cause it has 2 audio inputs one for chat and one for game. I can make the game loud and my friends quit if I need to concentrate or I can make my friends loud If we are talking. It is definitely not the best but it fits for me wonderful.
