Logitech - G PRO X Wired

So I’ve had these OG g pros not x for 5 years. Got them when they first came out in 2019 for 100$. Well I really liked them. Prime day deals had them 69$. Ordered them up and the audio is worse? What’s the deal here? I play bf2042 a lot. My original g pros using the dac and dts enabled in windows spatial settings sounded fantastic. I could hear people from all directions fine. Well this new dac for the pro X has it only through g hub. It sounds muffled. The foot steps are literally non existent and all I hear is explosions and gun fire across the map but before had no problem. Fiddled with the eq got it to sound slightly better but it’s not even in the realm of the g pro using the windows setting for dts. I paid for a license years back as I didn’t realize they made just a g pro non x. Wondered for years why I had no surround setting in g hub. Any fix before I return these things? Not trying to spend an arm and leg and feel I just wasted $$ because despite the condition of the 5 year old g pros they work fine and sound great still I just figured it was a good time to buy a backup on sale and was torn on the cloud iii vs these but had good luck with the previous set. G hub was uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version before plugging them in. Also the blue voice…. In 5 years are very competitive gaming. Never once heard someone say I sound weird. Or bad. Or anything. Now using the blue voice everyone says I sound weird and completely different.

I actually think I’m gonna try the cloud iii and return whichever one sounds worse. I see complaints on those but they’re a newer set for the same price. On my OG g pros I can use atmos and all the spatial settings while retaining ghub eq and mic settings. They just don’t have the blue voice which I really don’t care for anyway now after trying it. And no surround option through ghub. I figured they’d be better or atleast the same through g hub but not this LOL in bf2042 people can litterally run on concrete inside a building right next to me and I can’t hear them. That’s an absolute deal breaker for me cause I could hear people across the room on the g pro non x with dts enabled through spatial setting in windows. It’s like they forced you to use ghub with the pro x to have dts and it’s a downgrade now. WHY LOL

Logitech g pro x wired a 150 is amazing

If you're not worried about quality and want convenience then I would probably just go for a wireless gaming headset. Audeze Maxwell is one I am seeing a lot, but I've heard mixed opinions, as you typically will with gaming headsets. The only headset similar to that that I've tried is the Logitech G Pro X 2. Hated them. After hours of failing to get the audio to sound better than my $100 headset from 5 years ago, I returned them. Wired is always going to be better quality.

I am not professional and but I had quite a lot headsets specifically for gaming and the best ones I ever had and have rn are Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed but since they are not in your price range unless you can find them on discount series 1 of G Pro X is very good replacement

Logitech g Pro all the wayyyy

I’ve got a pair of g pro x with blue voice from 2021 it works fine but I’ve found IEMs to be far better for gaming only thing I needed to buy Dolby for headphones separately on windows. Maybe give a pair of iems a go. If I were you I would return it based off of what I’ve understood from your description

I ended up purchasing logitech g pro x since its closes to studio level headphone and its insane i tried every single one on the list and most professional and advanced feeling + quality was on logitech g pro x and hyperx clould alpha but i prefer logitech because of blue voice and hyperx being bought by HP is bad thats why out of them all best is logitech g pro x

If those are your only option I'd take either the Cloud Alpha or G Pro X, probably the Alpha as it is really comfortable. As other's have said though, none of these are particularly good. Unlike what others have said, there are good gamer brand headsets out there like the LucidSound LS50x, Logitech G Pro X 2, Astro A50, a few EPOS models. They're just generally overpriced. Like the G Pro X 2 is a really good $100 headphone with a $20 mic selling for $250. The LucidSounds are a bit pricy new but very cheap on the used market. The LS50x or the little brother LS35x can be found used for under $60 and $40 respectively and will beat anything on your list. Sennheiser Game One's can be found for under $60 and are another step higher, they're the headset version of the HD 598. In general, you can almost always buy a new headphone of equal or better quality + a desktop mic for a lot less money than a new headset. The main exception is the Audeze Maxwell which is frankly way better than standalone wireless headphones at its price. The PC38x is also competitively priced on sale, it's right between the HD 599 and HD 560S in quality.

It's all relative. Considering his restrictions, I'm guessing he's found a cheap thrift store and that's his selection. A HyperX Cloud Alpha or G Pro X may be bad products at $150, but at $20 they're both excellent headsets.

xbox headset, or he plays on xbox? If he's on PC, I've tried a few and I really like the Logitech Pro X 7.1. They're about £120. There's also a SE Amazon-exclusive version at just £60 at the moment which seems to have all the same features. The reason I like them is that the audio positioning - which is super important in PUBG - is fantastic, amongst the best I've experienced in multiple sets of headphones at all prices. Note, they are wired. Wireless, I'd recommend the CORSAIR Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE 7.1. The spacial audio on these works really well too, and the mic quality is unparalleled - listening to friends who also use this headset, there's not a whisper of background noise or hiss or anything, it's so clear it's like they're narrating an audio book to you. These are a tad expensive - £250 - and I stopped using them only because I swapped to a different audio system and some wired headphones...otherwise these would be my go-to.

While I love my Logitech g pro headset I wouldn’t suggest it. Sennheiser or their gaming side EPOS probably have amazing deals on. And I wouldn’t steer anyone clear

ive been considering those when i was shopping for a headset a year ago, i did some extensive research at the time and i just got rubbed the wrong way at how the cloud 2 was worse than the cloud 1 but i still wanted clear surround 7.1 stuff ... after a week of being undecided i settled on the logitech g x pro and i've been super happy with that, look into that if you're undecided, just another option :p

Logitech pays a lot for marketing. I find that hard to believe since Cloud 2 are literally a pair of studio headphones - Takstar Pro 80, to be precise, just with a worse tuning and a mic.

All in one headset or so called gaming headset won't get you far for overall quality of each parts, that is audio quality, mic quality, comfort or fine tuning. They often discount parts of their quality and no one of them truly are "really high end quality". If you want the best of everything, you better get a separate headset + mic, like DT770 pro + Shure MV7 (or SM7B if you want to buy an audio interface). For the wireless headset, good "audiophile" quality one are really expansives (we're talking more than half a thousand), like the Focal Bathys. The whole setup can get to the thousand if you're taking into account an audio interface and more if you want it wireless. If you want to go in a standard "gaming" wireless headset with mic, I'll probably let other people recommend you something. On my side and before switching to a full audio setup, I used the Logitech G Pro X that was decent, good audio quality even tho it was not neutral, but no gaming headset truly is, good mic, comfortable BUT it was pretty fragile. Know just that you won't get "high end audio quality" without the all in one aspect of the gaming headset that can be mediocre at best on audio + mic quality.

First off, I'll admit that my title is a bit misleading but truthful, and so I'll immediately tell you what it is; the "**Corsair Void RGB Elite**". You might be thinking "*What? The $70 headset that came out in October 2019?*" Yes, that headset. If you value comfort, sound quality, mic quality, and quality feeling materials, this is the headset for you. It completely blows the competition away, all the way up into the $200-$300 price bracket. This headset is the 2nd best headset I've ever had, only coming after the now unavailable "**Corsair Void Pro"** released in August 2017. The pro had better quality earpad foam which made it unimaginably comfortable. When I got my *Void Elite* to replace my worn-into-the-ground *Void Pro* three years ago, I immediately noticed the downgrade in earpad quality, but having compared them to the current market, I now see they are still miles above everything else available, and for a fraction of the price. Just today I've purchased 3 more pairs of the Corsair Void RGB Elite so I know I will have a decent headset for the next 10 years at least, as the quality of all others continues to degrade. I want to make it clear I am **NOT** talking about the "Corsair Void Wireless V2". *The V2 is objectively one of the* *worst headset I have ever used*. The rest of this post will be a rant about how absolutely shite the rest of modern gaming headsets are and me bashing some bad ones I bought. Just this month I read people's reviews and suggestions on Reddit, Amazon, and YouTube and naively purchased the "**ASUS Rog Delta II**" ($208) then the "**Logitech G Pro X**" ($180) and then the "**Corsair Void Wireless V2**" ($140). All were in their own way, horrible quality and insanely overpriced. With the Logitech's technically being the best as long as you don't plan on using your mic. **ASUS Rog Delta II**: Complete garbage. My roommate and sister have ASUS Rog Laptops and I have a Rog motherboard and ASUS graphics card, so I had high hopes for these. SHITE. Seriously, I'm not an audiophile that complains about sound quality constantly. I use Airpods when I'm out-and-about and think they sound just fine, so believe me when I say the Rog Delta II sound quality is SO bad that it sounds like your listening to a speaker in a different room. Yes I downloaded all the drivers in the Armory Crate app. Yes I checked the connection and Hz in system sound settings. I did it all and I promise there was nothing wrong. They are just bad. I also got in a discord call and apparently the mic sounded like I was talking through a "red SOLO cup". RETURNED. **Logitech G Pro X**: Arguably the best of the bunch, pretty quality feeling, comfortable enough, good sound quality, but the mic... My biggest gripe is that if you have sidetone on and talk in anything more than a whisper, it gets overloaded and distorts the sound back into your ear super loud. Its extremely annoying. On top of that you don't get any sidetone if you're not currently using an application that is using the mic. I like having my sidetone always on, but with these if I'm not in a discord call, no sidetone. And finally, it's a detachable aux-cord mic which isn't a deal-breaker for me but is annoying and makes them sound worse in my opinion. RETURNED. **Corsair Void Wireless V2:** Oh my god, these are the worst of the whole bunch. I don't even know where to begin. They're supposed to be the next evolution of the Void Elite but are infinitely cheaper feeling and worse in every way, yet twice the price. I'll just make a list comparing them to the Void Elites. (*which, if you actually read this whole thing, will know are the already inferior version of the Void Pros*) \-Earpad foam quality: Worse \-Metal frame? Nope, Plastic \-Earpad Depth: Half as deep (*so your ears press against the hard inner plastic speaker*) \-Mic Quality: Poop. \-Sidetone: Sounds like your underwater, AND HAS A DELAY LOL \-Price: $140 (twice as much as Void RGB Elite) They don't even have the nice Corsair symbol lit up on the side. They are shit and it's sad to see Corsair go straight down the toilet. These headphones genuinely feel like they were bought at the Dollar Tree. I'm not just saying that because I'm upset. They genuinely feel like that. Buy a pair and try them out if you don't believe me haha. If you don’t care about side tone and are fine, keeping it off without hearing your voice back in your ear, they are completely fine. and I promise you you won’t regret the $70 corsair I’m talking about.

I've been running a g pro x since launch, been disappointed since day 1. Feel like directional audio is hard to pinpoint minus like explosions or something. If someone's walking in tarkov idk where theyre at.

I believe they're the same thing. The SE just comes with less accessories

I highly recommend the Logitech G PRO X headset. I’ve been using it for quite a while now and it‘s fantastic - there’s no audio delay, the sound is crisp, and overall it‘s just a great headset.

Logitech G PRO X was good. I tried a few, also Headphones. But currently I main a BOSE 700 with ANC because of the ANC. It can be used with cable and there are cables with boom mic for under 20 bucks. Mainly play PUBG.

I've been using them for a 1 year now, if you want a headset exclusively for your desktop there is no better option in the market considering comfort, build quality and battery life. I've also tried for a month or so the logitech g pro and the razer blackshark. Sadly mine died out of nowhere yesterday, got in touch with warranty and they are solving everything really fast.

Dude you either buy the wireless hyper x or the logitech g pro X, NEVER I REPEAT NEVER buy Razer headphones. Mice and SOME keyboards are fine, specially mice. I've had 3 hyper X, the Cloud alpha, then after a few years I bough another Cloud alpha and then when the Alpha wireless came out with 300 hrs battery I bought them and they lasted many years too. Hyper X is probably your best option, they also have excellent customer service, I sent an email and they sent me new earcups.. for free, no expense at all. Now I don't know about steelseries I've never own one personally but I don't think it's gonna be worse than razer. If you want my sincere opinion... buy wireless, it's the only thing I would buy a gaming headset for. If you want quality just buy beyerdinamics or sennheiser headphones and be open to buy an arm-mic combo. Have a nice day

I'm currently rocking a Logitech G Pro X. Wireless. Detachable mic and a dedicated hardware mute-mic button. Voice quality is good. Earpads are replaceable. And all-black with metal accents on the earcups, so fairly neutral in appearance.

You used to be able to muse Dolby atmos with them if you turned the surround sound off in the ghub but they seem to have patched it. Atmos was so much better than the ghub offering in terms of sound. Alternatively should play with the eq to get the sound you want, or as close as you can. I have never been happy with the sound from mine. To start with i thought it was me and if i fiddled enough I’d sus it out. Dolby atmos helped but that didn’t last. I still have them and just suffer. too expensive to replace without getting my monies worth. I am sworn of Logitech headsets now though. Never again.

Logitech g pro x are the best headphones I've ever owned. Most comfortable I've ever owned and some of the best audio and microphone quality.

My Logitech g pro just broke yesterday after using it maybe 3 years. It snapped at the part where ear cups come out of the headband. The two pieces of plastic held by 2 screws broke... Not too happy with them being 100 dollars.

Still, things aren't build to last anymore. I fixed the headset with some clear tape so hope that'll last another few years.

I got into the Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset a while back, and it impressed me with its clear audio and solid mic performance.

That's a great headset but I'll still give it to the HyperX. Maybe single player would be slightly more immersive in the Logitech if you're playing some adventure game, but FPS and team comms the HyperX wins hands down. The bigger magnets provide better sound separation and you can hear bullets and footsteps even when everything is messy. Also the higher pitch microphone will allow your teammates to hear you will even in loud situations.

I think Logitech g pro x are the closest to what you're looking for at an OK price. Not the best, but confortable and great for gaming with all the features you're asking for. I'm sure there are people who can feel a huge difference between wired and wireless headphones or a 250€ pair vs a 100€ one, but I'm not one of them so I'm happy with the Logitech.

Logitech gpro is what I've used for the last few years. There's some different versions, some for $80-100USD. The newest models and wireless versions will be more than that. I had the cloud 2's and alphas with the same mic issues as you before I got the Logitech. Really like it and will upgrade to the newest model when if this one finally gives up on me.

For wireless gaming headphones specifically -- I've had the G Pro X's, Steel Series Arctis 7, and Astro A50. Out of those, I'd probably choose the Logitechs However, I've since moved onto using IEM's + Antlion mic. If wireless isn't a deal breaker, I'd recommend IEM's. Don't really need noise cancellation with IEM's if they fit properly + great/raw positional sounds (I play CS and Valorant). Personally, I hated the over filtered EQ sound from all the mass marketed gaming headphones. Also IEM's don't jack up my head/hair with a headband dent FWIW, a lot of pro gamers use IEM's, however they wear their gaming headphones on top over them either for sponsorship purposes or another layer to block ambient noise

I work from home and have many zoom / Teams meetings. additionally I am an avid online Gamer. So I need a headset that will cover a WIDE variety of needs. For high quality audio Recording I have a completely different recording booth setup with an XLR mic (AT2035, scarlet 2i2 etc). So the mic only needs to be good enough on the headset for online gaming and business meetings. Previously I have had the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum – Wireless and I am currently using the Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset. the G933 was a very practical headset and I liked being able to walk away from my desk while remaining in communication. I had some small issues with the mute not always un muting working as expected. after a few years the headset starting having wear (used 6 or 7 days a week for 8 -10 hours a day so think it held up well). I replaced with my current Logitech G Pro X I had some software issues getting it setup but it works great and does everything I need. However it is also starting to wear, I already replaced the ear pads twice. And the volume control has now developed a quirk where the wheel in some positions switches to mono instead of stereo (loose connection?) I could replace the volume cable, however with the wear on the top of the head band and 5 years of use and thinking it may just be time to replace. Between the 2 headsets I think I prefer the feel and build of the Logitech Pro X (it also lasted much longer) I was looking at maybe going back to wireless for the convenience, one less wire to get caught on my chair and not standing up quickly forgetting to take my headset off and pulling the cable. So was looking at the Logitech G Pro X2... however I would really like a charging Dock that I can just hang the headset on when I leave the desk rather than having to actually plug a cable in. So am hoping with that info on preferences and experience people may have some recommendations. For a Logitech headset look at the: - G435 - G535 - G Pro X wired or wireless (version 1, not 2) Other gaming headsets include: - JBL Quantum One - Sennheiser Game One - HyperX Cloud III - Razer Barracuda - SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X or 7X - Turtle Beach Atlas Air. The tradeoff on all of this are the same: buggy apps, poor audio/mic quality and/or poor longevity. If you want a better experience I suggest getting a USB mic like the JLab Talk and pair it with audiophile headphones like: - Philips Fidelio X2HR - Sennheiser HD 560S - Philips SHP9500 - Sennheiser HD 599

All these people recommending the audeze maxwell have never played a fps with them before. Uncomfortable with shit surround sound so hearing footsteps/shots directions is not happening. Just get him a pair of logitech g pro x or something that is similar to what he had before. All this audiophile bs is a waste of money time and comfort

Mine must be still 1st-Gen's and I put them aside as my Mains and replaced them with SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7: World of Warcraft Edition, which are great for gaming, but the G Pro X are better for Music and they only make me feel hot in Summer and they are getting a bit uncomfortable after longer sessions, while wearing glasses, that's all. I use the Logitech G Pro X headphones and they are pretty good for what they are. For gaming is quite nice, it's nice and bassy but not too much where it becomes muddy. If you can afford it the G Pro X 2 is the updated version and apparently its far more better.

The Logitech G Pro X is just above 100 but no more than 110, it's really trusty and works great. Every other headset feels weird and uncomfortable to me after I used it, it's great. Normally the repairs will just set you back 10 bucks to order an official wire from Logitech, don't bother getting a knockoff, they fuck up your mic and audio and break in a month. Been there done that.

The soundlock worked when I plugged the headset wired. Enchantments(loudness equalization) worked when I connected by BT/choose nova pro headset in audio outputs instead of sonar virtual. I fully agree with you. The G Pro X 2 and the Astro A50 are on sale and the same price on Amazon right now - I went with the G Pro X 2. Some might find that surprising, but the Astro A50's dock-based connection is a huge dealbreaker for me. ​The dock is the main connection point and houses the Bluetooth, which means you can't use the headset on the go without it. This seriously limits its portability. Plus, the range is poor and the signal gets choppy if you're not right next to the dock. ​The only real advantage of the Astro A50 is its microphone, which is supposedly fantastic. But I'm okay with a slightly less perfect mic for a better overall experience. The G Pro X 2's mic isn't as bad as people claim - there's even a "clear mic fix" preset in G Hub that fully resolves the clarity issue. While it may not be on par with the Astro's, the G Pro X 2's comfort and flexibility are better, and I think it looks much sleeker. Regarding sound output, on paper, the X 2 is better since it has a 50mm graphene driver versus a 40mm in the astro. ​If the G Pro X 2 had the same mic as the Astro A50, it would be a no-brainer. But for some, mic quality is more important than portability, range, battery life, usb c charging, and not being limited by the useless dock station. It just comes down to personal preference.

If the G Pro X 2 had a better quality mic, the Astros wouldn't stand a chance. The fact that its functionality is tied to the dock is the biggest design flaw. You can't easily use it across other devices and it's wireless range is very poor. G pro X 2 a bigger graphene driver, better battery life, lighter, 3.5 mm jack, usb c chargeable, and a detachable mic. Although the mic quality isn't as good as Astros, everything else is the same, if not better, on the g pro X2.

i have the g pro x 2 and am absolutely in love with it! got it 2-ish years ago, no faults or anything. the only thing that i dislike is that you can't play sound from two instances at the same time. so i use it on my computer via the lil plug, and have it connected to my phone via bluetooth, it won't play both at the same time, you have to switch channels. my previous logitech headset was able to do that, but i strongly disliked everything else about it hence the switch. other than that it's fantastic. i use the dolby access software instead of ghub which makes it sound SO good, it's incredibly comfy and durable, plus the white matches my setup. i don't use the mic so dunno how that sounds. my boyfriend has the arctis nova and i've used it plenty of times, absolutely hate it lol. i know it's so popular but the shape is strange to me (looks very wide) and makes my head hurt. also presses into my glasses all the time, which makes my head hurt even more.

Personally I really like the Logitech G Pro X 2, I’ve had them for a year with zero issues, and they sound really good in my opinion.

I tried the HyperX and it had dogshit bass, and sounded awful. To me. Everything is subjective. The best headset I've ever used, again, to me, have been the Logitech pro-X. Amazzzzzing bass. You hear it differently in those things. I don't know why or what happened but every other headset I tried, all the "professional" ones like razer etc all sounded tinny and terrible. Like so bad I felt they were closer to Five Below quality airpod sounds.
