Logitech - G PRO X Wired

The in-game 3D positioning is pretty awesome, so you don't need to worry too much about Dolby or other headset-specific 3D tech. To main things you want to look for are: 1. Wired 2. An external DAC. This is basically a dedicated sound card and you'll almost certainly get better audio out of it than any motherboard's on-board audio. The more you can spend here, the better. I've compared these to several different headsets and the Logitech give great positional audio and pick up stuff like footsteps with good distance and accuracy. The mic is great, but not quite the best - to be honest the best on-set mic I've used is on the Corsair Virtuoso, which are an excellent set of wireless headphones with unnoticeable latency...but they're much more expensive.

if you want wired headphones with a mic, a detachable cable and a detachable soundcard, then logitech g pro x are a great replacement for the old hyperx clouds. speaking from experience.

Never liked any of the hyper x headsets. The quality of build and sound felt worse than steelseries. But I would say the 770 pro and the Logitech g pro (non wireless (had issues with the wireless ones that never occurred that being said there were some driver issues in the early days on windows 10 but since fixed))

I think it is a step in the right direction. The only thing they should have done was allow the earcups to be able to rotate flat like the Logitech GPro X2. The Aw 920H was a disaster story all because of the earcups falling off and the low battery message. Alienware should have reverse engineered the Logitech GProX2 headset. I have the Logitech GProX and added the Blue Icepop mic and aftermarket Soulwit Cooling Gel earcups.

I like the Logitech G Pro X wired. I got a brand new pair never used but open box for $45 on ebay

Logitech G pro x gaming headphone. If on pc the software lets you tweak the sound. Engine never sounded better

For anyone looking this up in the future, I had the G Pro X and they broke so I went to go buy them again (I really liked these headphones and didn't feel like researching new ones), saw that the G Pro X SE was cheaper and when I bought them, 30% off. I figured if they were weird or I just didn't like them then I'd just return them. So far I cannot tell a difference between the two pairs, they're the same size, and came with everything I needed to set them up. The sound and the microphone are the same so I would buy the SE as it's cheaper.

While I love my Logitech g pro headset I wouldn’t suggest it. Sennheiser or their gaming side EPOS probably have amazing deals on. And I wouldn’t steer anyone clear

My Logitech g pro just broke yesterday after using it maybe 3 years. It snapped at the part where ear cups come out of the headband. The two pieces of plastic held by 2 screws broke... Not too happy with them being 100 dollars.

Still, things aren't build to last anymore. I fixed the headset with some clear tape so hope that'll last another few years.

Yeah after being a huge steelseries fan I got tired of their Rickety plastic creaky shit and bought Logitech g pro and I haven’t even remotely missed plastic steel series headsets

I had the wired version of this, gen 1. Was absolute garbage. Mic problems, cord problems, sound was mediocre.

I liked it at first, it took about a year for all the parts to stop working. Maybe I wasn't being nice to the headset... Other headsets haven't had problems though.

logitech g pro x, used daily for 3 years and only upgraded them for better sound, they still work and get used now and again.

I ended up purchasing logitech g pro x since its closes to studio level headphone and its insane i tried every single one on the list and most professional and advanced feeling + quality was on logitech g pro x and hyperx clould alpha but i prefer logitech because of blue voice and hyperx being bought by HP is bad thats why out of them all best is logitech g pro x

I saw things like logitech g pro x being better than alpha and cloud 2 and both are same generation also they say g pro x is closer to studio headphones what do you think about this?

If those are your only option I'd take either the Cloud Alpha or G Pro X, probably the Alpha as it is really comfortable. As other's have said though, none of these are particularly good. Unlike what others have said, there are good gamer brand headsets out there like the LucidSound LS50x, Logitech G Pro X 2, Astro A50, a few EPOS models. They're just generally overpriced. Like the G Pro X 2 is a really good $100 headphone with a $20 mic selling for $250. The LucidSounds are a bit pricy new but very cheap on the used market. The LS50x or the little brother LS35x can be found used for under $60 and $40 respectively and will beat anything on your list. Sennheiser Game One's can be found for under $60 and are another step higher, they're the headset version of the HD 598. In general, you can almost always buy a new headphone of equal or better quality + a desktop mic for a lot less money than a new headset. The main exception is the Audeze Maxwell which is frankly way better than standalone wireless headphones at its price. The PC38x is also competitively priced on sale, it's right between the HD 599 and HD 560S in quality.

It's all relative. Considering his restrictions, I'm guessing he's found a cheap thrift store and that's his selection. A HyperX Cloud Alpha or G Pro X may be bad products at $150, but at $20 they're both excellent headsets.

No problem. The G Pro X has better directional audio for shooters but the Alphas sound better overall and is extremely comfortable on my opinion. 

Logitech pays a lot for marketing. I find that hard to believe since Cloud 2 are literally a pair of studio headphones - Takstar Pro 80, to be precise, just with a worse tuning and a mic.

I believe they're the same thing. The SE just comes with less accessories

Logitech G PRO X 10/10

I got into the Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset a while back, and it impressed me with its clear audio and solid mic performance.

I can vouch for this, i have used mine for over two years and the fabric looks like new with no damage

That's a great headset but I'll still give it to the HyperX. Maybe single player would be slightly more immersive in the Logitech if you're playing some adventure game, but FPS and team comms the HyperX wins hands down. The bigger magnets provide better sound separation and you can hear bullets and footsteps even when everything is messy. Also the higher pitch microphone will allow your teammates to hear you will even in loud situations.

For a Logitech headset look at the: - G435 - G535 - G Pro X wired or wireless (version 1, not 2) Other gaming headsets include: - JBL Quantum One - Sennheiser Game One - HyperX Cloud III - Razer Barracuda - SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X or 7X - Turtle Beach Atlas Air. The tradeoff on all of this are the same: buggy apps, poor audio/mic quality and/or poor longevity. If you want a better experience I suggest getting a USB mic like the JLab Talk and pair it with audiophile headphones like: - Philips Fidelio X2HR - Sennheiser HD 560S - Philips SHP9500 - Sennheiser HD 599

All these people recommending the audeze maxwell have never played a fps with them before. Uncomfortable with shit surround sound so hearing footsteps/shots directions is not happening. Just get him a pair of logitech g pro x or something that is similar to what he had before. All this audiophile bs is a waste of money time and comfort

Logitech G Pro X is nice

It's also a popularity contest and a hype thing. I haven't tried the HyperX II but I did a lot of research on as many headsets as I could and I landed on the Logitech Pro X. They're $20 more, but I found that the mic was significantly better when listening to videos and it offered customisation options for both the mic and the sound. I'm almost certain that in most cases, despite being a bit more expensive, the Pro X are better than the Cloud II, and yet, they're nowhere near as popular.

I tried the HyperX and it had dogshit bass, and sounded awful. To me. Everything is subjective. The best headset I've ever used, again, to me, have been the Logitech pro-X. Amazzzzzing bass. You hear it differently in those things. I don't know why or what happened but every other headset I tried, all the "professional" ones like razer etc all sounded tinny and terrible. Like so bad I felt they were closer to Five Below quality airpod sounds.

I'm ashamed to admit that that was the deciding factor for me between the stealth pro, maxwells, and pro x.
