I got my Maxwell 2 yesterday and after using a Logitech Pro X (Gen 1) for years. Honestly, I can't believe I've been missing this much audio. They're a little heavy, yeah. But get the strap with them and you're solid. 24 hours in and I'm absolutely loving them. Was worried I'd regret the purchase but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I’ve got a pair of g pro x with blue voice from 2021 it works fine but I’ve found IEMs to be far better for gaming only thing I needed to buy Dolby for headphones separately on windows. Maybe give a pair of iems a go. If I were you I would return it based off of what I’ve understood from your description
Ive used the 1st Gen pro x for a couple of years now. The mic isn't the best out of the box, you can be heard clearly but it just doesn't sound quite right. This can be adjusted with software. The audio quality is lacking out of the box as well. I personally love Dolby Atmos but the headset doesn't support it, or rather Logitech's drivers lock you out of it. Change the drivers to generic USB audio. Then you can enable Atmos. But you lose the ability to adjust anything in the app. I like the leatherette, has good sound isolation for gaming, even with wearing glasses. Battery life is good. Lasts about 20 hours for me. Just plug it in when you're done gaming and you'll never have to worry about it dying. TLDR: after workarounds the headset sound quality is decent. But a product should be good out of the box. No work around needed
For gaming Logitech G Pro X SE - Amazing headphones. Poor microphones. For music: Shure SE215 IEM - My favourite earphones, been using this since 2016. And Beats Studio Buds - Looks good. Sounds ok.
I have a wireless pro headset with a couple of thousand hours… (i’ve got it a few years) only thing i replaced are the earpads because the outer layer wore off due to short hair/beard touching the fabric… I dont know how you would break the hinges? What do you do with it?
Exactly, used a very long time without the software…
I’ve had the wireless pro (lightspeed) for a few years. I’m happy with the comfort , and quality. Only thung i replaced in these years were the ear covers since they got worn and the fake leather started to flake because of beard/short hair wear/tear. Only thing I miss is bluetooth. But i never regretted spending 220€ on this headset back in the day.
Logitech’s Pro X Wireless is a clear overall upgrade from the G633 for sound quality, mic performance, and build, while the G633 still wins if you specifically need wired multi‑platform flexibility and RGB. Both use G Hub, have DTS Headphone:X surround on PC, and support EQ presets, but Pro X Wireless adds detailed Blue VO!CE mic controls and better tuning out of the box. G633 gives you RGB lighting, on‑headset programmable G‑keys, and easy wired use with PC, console, and mobile via USB or 3.5 mm, which the Pro X Wireless cannot fully match because it’s mainly a 2.4 GHz PC/console dongle headset.
