Could I recommend the razer barracuda x? I wear glasses too and the clamping force is actually so weak it'll fall off your head if you tilt back- if that's not a deal breaker for you

I was happy with my Barracuda X, but am nearing the same point of failure. One day the hinges started cracking and although they still haven't completely snapped yet, parts of the plastic fell off. Also they discontinued driver support for the headphones like 2 years after release. It's a shame, since I was really happy with the headphones - decent audio quality, removable mic, BT support, battery life.

Don't buy any of them. Buy regular headphones e.g. Sennheiser (or what they are called today). Pulse 3D - the plastic thing that connects ear buds broke in the middle of the headset and when I bought Pulse Elite I couldn't believe what shitty products Sony produces nowadays - they re constantly disconnecting during gameplay (still after updates) and the sound quality is not that great - it's probably a personal taste but my ears were used to budget headset RAZER Barracuda X and even Pulse 3D had better sound than this Elite's artificial one.

I don't know many headphones, but I can assure you that I wouldn't recommend the Razer Barracuda X. The sound is rather bad, and at least the ones I had, the microphone was somewhat deficient; they would be problematic for gaming.

Yeah, some older JBL speakers from an acquaintance sounded better and were cheaper XD, I hope you find some good ones but those, at least I, don't really recommend them.

Philips Shp9600 for open back.  They have a version that comes with a mic but I would pair it with the v moda boompro which just sounds amazing.  Razer barracuda X is a really good closed back wireless headset. Don't bother with "7.1 surround".  I have never used one that didn't sound like complete muffled shit.

These things are crap yet are priced like they're premium. Ended up switching to the Philips SHP9600 for $60, using a v moda boom pro as the mic. For a dac I use the little apple usb-c to 3.5mm lol. Sounds infinitely better than anything I've bought from logitech. For meetings I use the razer baracuda X which is both wireless and closed back. Also sounds very good and has insane battery life.

The Razer Barracuda X is what I use for wireless, works on anything with a Type C plug, compared to other Bluetooth connections I’ve never had issues with it.

The only good thing razer have is mouse and mousepad, i tried my first razer headset (Barracuda X), and i notice the design failure, broke the headband adjustment in two days, 3months to receive a new one with RMA, same problem again in less than 24hs... I bought a hyperx cloud iii, and now i use the Barracuda only on my bed

Pretty much anything you’d like tbh. Being real here, buying headsets specifically for a single game will not help you nearly as much as you might think. If you’re still into buying one, just get anything with surround sound, which would help you differentiate up and down as opposed to just left and right. Other than that, just get headphones with a sound profile that you like. I personally use the Razer Barracuda X, and I got it for the equivalent of <100$. It’s wireless, can play wired, great battery life, and best of all: I love how it sounds. The 7.1 surround software thingamajig I got with it is kinda helpful in siege, but i’ve only gotten like 10 kills from it in the 6 months i’ve owned it. Hence my advice: get something you’d like to use in it’s entirety, and not just for one game.

>Genuinely good gaming headphones? Here's the thing: all these products are good on paper/in the lab. However, there are tradeoffs in daily use. The biggest issues with gamer headsets are mostly the same and haven't improved with time: - poor quality control/longevity - problematic software/firmware - poor sound quality - poor soundstage If you're good with that, you're better off just going with whatever RTINGS, Tom's Hardware or PC Gamer recommends because, the folks here are fairly hostile and one note re: gamer specific needs. Many are more concerned with trying to impress with their purchase history than helping solve people's problems. For what it's worth, I wouldn't have tried to convince you to go with the DT 900 Pro X. I think the choices that tick the most boxes for your partner will be either the Razer [Barracuda](https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/razer/barracuda-wireless) / [Barracuda Pro ](https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/razer/barracuda-pro-wireless) or Logitech G [Pro X 2](https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/logitech/g-pro-x-2-lightspeed-wireless) Lightspeed. The Razer is designed to be multi use. It has a sleek, casual appearance (no boom mic) and a more neutral sound for casual music listening. The Pro version ups the utility with ANC and decent mic quality. However, the standard model is more versatile allowing you to use it passively with an analog connection and has decent passive noise isolation with low noise leakage for better immersion. Between Razer and Logitech, the Razer app is probably less disruptive to enjoyment. The Logitech set has a bassier sound, so you'll really feel explosions and footsteps should be clear. Both headsets are on equal footing with sound localization; but, soundstage on the Logitech is marginally better (which helps with perceiving distance), whereas stereo imaging in the Razer is marginally better (which helps with pinpointing direction). The Logitech has the upper hand on battery life with 2x the continuous runtime and shorter charge time. The included cables are also longer and wireless latency is less (important in competitive games) with longer range. Since the mic is detachable you could connect your mic to the headset instead to make use of mic monitoring (Sidetone) (edit: if your mic supports this).

For a Logitech headset look at the: - G435 - G535 - G Pro X wired or wireless (version 1, not 2) Other gaming headsets include: - JBL Quantum One - Sennheiser Game One - HyperX Cloud III - Razer Barracuda - SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X or 7X - Turtle Beach Atlas Air. The tradeoff on all of this are the same: buggy apps, poor audio/mic quality and/or poor longevity. If you want a better experience I suggest getting a USB mic like the JLab Talk and pair it with audiophile headphones like: - Philips Fidelio X2HR - Sennheiser HD 560S - Philips SHP9500 - Sennheiser HD 599

I actually use the barracuda as my travel headphones! Its survived plenty of gym, flights, and every day use and it's perfectly fine. That being said i do know what you mean, its one unlucky accident from breaking for sure. However that being said i love them. I will recommend the barracuda, specifically the pro if you wanted noise cancelling!
