You got a dud, I have both og blackshsrk v2 wireless and 2023 edition and both are great, 2023 have the best wireless mic. I also had v2 x, absolute best buy with greta mic quality.

Hey I actually just switched to this headset (kind of). I had a cloud stinger wireless 2 for a long time and love it, but I was always annoyed how bad the mic quality was. I see other people recommending HyperX and I agree, their headsets are generally pretty good. But I assume you want a Blackshark because you heard how good the mic is? And I fully endorse that. Obviously a desktop mic is going to sound better, but the headset mic on these is pretty crazy comparatively. Easily the best one I have heard aside from maybe the Corsair HS80 Max. I have the Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed which is just a cheaper chassis with the same internals as the pro. So far, it’s super comfortable and light weight. The battery life is crazy, like easily 40+ hours but I want to say they advertise 70-80 hours. You’ll have to use Razer Synapse which I haven’t had any issues with but it takes some experimenting to get your audio balance right. I can give you my settings if you decide to pick one up. I totally recommend this headset (so far, I’m on week 2) but also recommend going to a store and trying on headsets. Idk if you are in the US, but Best Buy usually has some on display. Edit: also worth noting, you’ll want the most recent version of the Blackshark so V2 Hyperspeed or V2 Pro. The old V2 has the same name but the mic isn’t as good imo. Look at the release year before you buy 😊

I have the black shark v2s for wireless gaming - the sound quality is good enough, and it has an excellent mic if you need one. I also use small speakers on my sim rig when I want to hear and “feel” the sound.

If you can stretch your budget, my recommendation would be the **Astro A50 X.** I'm recommending it based on two factors: comfort and mic. It's generally rated as comfortable by reviewers and it's not very heavy compared to other good headphones. It also has one of the best mics, even considering wired options. A great budget option would be the **Razer BlackShark V2 Hyperspeed**. It also has a top of the line mic for a fraction of the price. Just don't expect the same sound quality from the headphones. That's not to say it's bad though. It still has a well-tuned frequency response. You could buy the **BlackShark V2 Pro** if you want to detach the mic for outdoor use, but I can't really recommend it due to the inferior wireless performance to the newer Hyperspeed and the massive price difference just for that detaching the mic. Lastly, you could also check the **Razer Barracuda X Chroma** if you like its design better. But for a similar price to the Hyperspeed, I don't think it does audio quality better, especially in the mic aspect.

If cables are not important to you, I would say the Razer Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed. If you want a cable, then the Razer Blackshark V2- Premium. I'm not a headset expert, but they should be fine; I've had good experiences with Razer headsets.

I use Razer black shark hyperspeed wireless. Not only it has no delay and no quality loss when connected wirelessly, but also has 70 hours of battery life, so I only need to charge every few weeks of moderate use. Besides I can plug in and use it like a wired headset while also charging it. I can walk around during the meeting, even go downstairs and get some food or water without losing signal. It completely retired my Sony xm3. That gaming headset is a great wfh prof headset.

The wireless on Razer is great, I don't feel any loss of sound quality when I listen to meeting recordings from others.

I'm kinda happy with my razer blackshark V2, most comfortable headset I've ever owned and I like the audio features it has in some games, playing like counter strike I can even estimate the distance of other players based on the sound as I use like a THX environmental mode profile, it's spatial so I hear if someone is also above me or under me.

Omg, i got the headset a few days ago and I have been so dissapointed with the sound, like you mentioning the bass is absolutely to strong and the sound quality is garbage, cant wait to try this tutorial out, thanks! I was just about to go and return it and go back to a Razer blackshark which I had prior to getting this!

For razer I was thinking more about the Blackshark headsets otherwise I tend to agree with you... I'm using an HyperX right now and I'm very happy but for the too long cable 🤣 I'm searching for a wireless headset

Will you be on camera or no? If you're not on camera, gaming headsets are the best bang for your buck. If you are, I think it looks a touch unprofessional and might opt for something else. I use a Razer Blackshark for my gaming headset and it is great if you don't mind the look of the mic boom.
