Could you comment about the sidetone loudness? The V2 Pro from 2023 has sidetone, but it's really not that loud in the mix, and it results in talking much more loudly than required. This is my only issue with the headset. The V3 Pro having ANC makes me think that the ambient feature and sidetone are likely better. UPDATE: I bought a set at Best Buy to try it out. It's worse than the V2 Pro; like twice as bad. The sidetone seems to have more volume but holy shit the bass in the sidetone pretty much makes it non-existent. I don't see how Razer goes from bad to worse with this. Both of these headsets are nearly perfect headsets if the sidetone was clear and boosted a bit more. Back to the store it goes.
Although taking good care of my V2 Pro 2023 model, the headband clamp has snapped and the product is unusable. I raised a ticket with Razer and they wrote back that my country is unsupported. If so they why do they export to these unsupported countries and why do they have resellers listed on their website?!!
I found a replacement “stronger” bracket on Etsy. Seems like a widespread problem if people are selling custom solutions.
I used it for couple of hours gaming and a few hours of WFH calls every week. They stayed indoor on a headset stand. Very gently used. Almost look brand new except for the broken band now.
I spent more on gen 2 specifically for the better mic.
Idk what yall do to headsets. I used my 2023 version until the 2025 came out. No issues at all. Now use the 2023 for work…

Honestly if you liked the sound of the A50s but hated the comfort, you’re not alone; that headband pressure gets rough over time. If comfort is your main issue, a couple solid options: * **SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7/Pro** – way better headband system (ski goggle style), much lighter feel for long sessions * **Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023)** – super comfortable clamp + really solid mic if you care about that * **Sennheiser / EPOS stuff (like Game One / H6Pro)** – best overall sound quality in this range, just less “feature heavy” If you’re playing FPS, I’d actually lean toward something with cleaner tuning rather than bass-heavy “gaming” sound, makes footsteps way easier to pick out. Also worth mentioning: a lot of headsets sound wildly different depending on EQ. Even something like the Nova or BlackShark can go from “meh” to insanely good for footsteps with the right setup. Just keep in mind though, any tuned setup is only as good as the current in-game audio. If the game drops a patch and changes audio (which happens a lot), you’ll usually need to tweak things again. If you want, I can help you dial in a setup specifically for the games you play
If your Arctis 7 is hurting your jaw, clamp force/up geometry is probably the issue more than just size. You may want to look at Logitech G Pro X Wireless, HyperX Cloud III Wireless, or even the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro since they tend to fit a bit differently. If comfort is your #1 priority, I’d probably avoid anything known for heavier clamp.
Razor Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) (gen 2) (PC version) ($104) Even though it's PC version, works perfectly with PS5 using dongle. Also can be used perfectly for PC. Get it with this accessory. WC Freeze Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) ($30) They are earmuff replacements that make all the difference. You wont regret it. Super comfy. I can wear pretty much all day. Amazing audio quality, and it won't break the bank.
I have a Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) and the audio is often distorted and "robotic". When using other headphones the audio is fine.
